And remember the old lady who said she got strip searched by TSA, and the TSA said she was LYIN’?
    phantomsoapbox.blogspot.com/2011/12/flyin-terror-granny-update.html
    It appears she warn’t lyin’.

  2. Links work for me, too.
So now the TSA is backpedaling and, instead of calling granny a liar, arguing about what the definition of ‘is’ is.

“In the latest fakery row to hit the Corporation, footage of a polar bear cub being born was filmed in a man-made den in a German animal park.
But the accompanying voiceover from Sir David Attenborough referred to cubs being born “beneath the snow” and the footage was intercut with scenes of polar bears in the wild.
The truth about the sequence was not disclosed in the programme. Only viewers who visited the Frozen Planet website and stumbled across a video by the producer, Kathryn Jeffs, would have learned that they had been watching bears in captivity.”

  8. I want the world population to know that the annual migration of CROWS, yes those big black birds, have migrated to southern Ontario by the hundreds of thousands and descended in Woodstock Ontario forcing Woodstackers to cover their garbage bags on collection days with bedsheets or blankets lest their garbage be strewn all over the street.

    So there!

    Isn’t this a prefiguring of Obama? “ . . . But [I] never met this fellow,/Attended or alone,/ Without a tighter breathing,/ And zero at the bone.”
This is perfect description of this impostor and the reaction to him that many of us have experienced from day one.

  12. RE the TSA strip searching grannies. Why is everyone just waking up to the reality now? The TSA says all proper procedures were followed. Think about that.
The TSA has set up virtual strip searches in most airports. Once you show up to the checkpoint you cannot leave the checkpoint or you could face a $15,000 fine. You must submit to whatever screening they demand or you will be fined.
If they spot something during their naked scan how do you think they clear it? If they think it’s a bomb in your underwear they’re going to have a look.

“Along the road to one of China’s most famous tourist landmarks – the Great Wall of China – sits what could potentially have been another such tourist destination, but now stands as an example of modern-day China and the problems facing it.”
“Situated on an area of around 100 acres, and 45 minutes drive from the center of Beijing, are the ruins of ‘Wonderland’. Construction stopped more than a decade ago, with developers promoting it as ‘the largest amusement park in Asia’. Funds were withdrawn due to disagreements over property prices with the local government and farmers. So what is left are the skeletal remains of a palace, a castle, and the steel beams of what could have been an indoor playground in the middle of a corn field.”

  20. On bullying
As Facebook and other “social media” have reminded us, there are many ways to bully, and technology is improving them every day. Plain, direct, physical bullying is just a point of departure, the most elementary form. And even that is contextual. There are such things as necessary evils, and I take it few readers would deny the police the right to “bully” a freshlyarrested felon into a squad car. The law itself requires bullying; which is what makes unnecessary laws such an evil.
