  1. Black Mamba: according to Wikipedia the demonym can be either Saskatchewanian or Saskatchewaner. “Saskatchewanite” is a petrified cow dropping.
Okay, I made that last one up.

  2. I kind of fancied “Saskatchewese”. Oh well.
On topic, I will say this for Beardo the Weirdo: He’s more amiable than the last guys I saw Ezra chatting with. A bit twitchy.

  3. Marc (11:23), I appreciate Ezra’s restraint, and well, his kindness, really. When someone’s doing a great job beating himself up, there’s no point in piling on. And like Mamba pointed out, Johnson doesn’t come across as a bad guy, or an angry or mean or hateful or dangerous person like some of the OWS protesters stateside; he’s just fecklessly idealistic.

  4. He pretty much fills the job description for green party members, at least, here on the west coast;vapid idealist or drug soaked weasel. Lizzie may is only a marginally more coherent member of both of these groups.

  5. Comedian Adam Carolla recently talked about such boy-men and their weird beards. He pointed out that none of them can change a tire or do any plumbing or pretty much any household chore that was once commonplace for all men. So to make up for this lack of “manly” activities these “men” have instead grown beards to distinguish themselves apart from the girls.

  6. Wow. I feel sorry for that guy. He bought all the ‘progressive’ gibberish and now his mind has turned to mush. Sad.

  7. “…Alberta has used up it’s natural resources which they gave away for next to nothing…”
He said something like that…Ezra should of challenged him but I guess time ran out:
-If every oil producer on the planet stopped except the Alberta oil sands; there is technically enough there to supply the world for the next 50 years or so.
-Canada does not sell it’s oil cheaper than others, the price per barrel is a worldwide OPEC based market…The cost of exploitation cannot be put in the equation if that is what he’s implying.
…And this Johnson guy wants to be a latex salesman er, I mean an MPP…What a joke!

  8. My first thought, too, Chris C. I couldn’t believe how often the guy used his hand to wipe his nose. Blech.

  9. Black Mamba: you’re confused. “Saskatchewanese” is the language spoken in Saskatchewan. Understandable mistake, ununderstandable language.

  10. My favourite line is “there are kind of certain people, whose ideas get followed more than others”,at 0:44 in his response to Ezra’s question about Green Party involvement.
This sounds like leadership at its most fundamental level. It makes me wonder how many of these “certain people” are members of a union or the like.

  11. No job, live on handouts, blame the government.
Perfect, his mom and taught him well in welfareology

  12. He had savings to do this stuff? Wow, revolutionaries have savings……….
Archie Bunker loads imaginary shell into imaginary gun, shoots self, pretends to be dead.

  13. What struck me as disturbing is that this guy is someone who, like he said: “wasn’t a leader, but, like his words have, like more meaning and weight that others”
When he and a gathering group of like-minded individuals start gathering in larger numbers, the lunacy within that mindset has the potential to be lowest-common-denominator justice and rampaging destruction. Reasoning with such an individual seems to be left more to the physical than intellectual. It will only be messy in the end.

  14. The flake also mentioned that children were being brought there on weekends, including his own. ?Assuming this is true, Child Welfare should be stepping in as there is a provision mandating that parents provide the necessities of life when caring for their children. Could be another weapon in the arsenal to get rid of them..Child endangerment and failing to provide necessities.

  15. Your “average Joe” sees trucks hauling building materials; gravel, cement, and lumber and says to himself, if he thinks about it at all, ” things seem to be going pretty good here, I’ll bet my out of work friends back home could find work here”.
Folks like Danny tend to build metaphorical mountains out of minute mole hills. The same scene to them is representitive of insidious exploitation; exploitation of the working man, and more importantly the earth`s finite resourses. Malthus lives on.

  16. I wonder what note is played when the wind blows by his ears. An empty head like that could have some interesting harmonics.

  17. “It’s Saskatchewiteonian.”
It’s Samsquams Ricky, and there’s one outside my door right now, he’s trying to get into my f***in shed!

  18. A few interesting tidbits from a newspaper bio of the candidate.
It opens with this shocking line, ”
Daniel Johnson has been quietly involved in many causes over the years, and most openly involved in the drug policy reform movement.”
It closes with this line.” He has 2 daughters, aged 11 and 15, has lived in every part of Saskatchewan at different times, and currently resides in a tent at the Occupy Regina camp in downtown Regina”.
He is also against ” child apprehensions without solid evidence of criminal wrongdoing “. That says a lot about the man. He is not only a flake,he is a dangerous flake.

  19. This is the kind of pretender and self important twit who you wonder about. They one day you read the he has been busted for stealing money from the orphanage or something equally bizarre,
They would do well to change the name of the green party to the dream party.

  20. Why is it that the Greens, NDP and other socialists believe very strongly in “sharing”? Problem is that they are almost always firmly positioned on the receiving end, not the giving end?
I would like to know what the savings amount was that he contributed to the tent city? I noticed that when Ezra asked where the stuff had come from, he made no mention of his own contribution, but just said it was given. Somebody who has contributed financially would normally point to what they had brought to the table.
Me thinks his life savings as probably eaten at one of the meal times.

  21. Listen again to the video at the 5:30 mark where Daniel Johnson says the Council of Canadians is springing for a porta-potty and Ezra suggests they are experts in crap. Daniel Johnson just kind of laughs.
I missed this the first time and now I can not stop laughing.

  22. Proud to point out that it was London Ontario that was the first city to show how to evict the occupiers.
The real benefit of these occupations is that the usual suspects that like to pander to this lot have been outed for the shameless opportunists they are and are now being forced to turn on the parasites……good gawd can you imagine how violated the occupiers must feel right about now.

Me no kapichee Britishcolomianian. Big sorry.
“Why not “Saskie” as in “Newfie”? We need to lose some syllables, not add a whole bunch.”

    Finally, someone’s talking sense!

  24. He has two daughters?! Who would have sex with him – he looks dirty and any woman would be more of a man than he is.

  25. Johanne >
“Who would have sex with him..”
Dirty women, and I suppose the occasional filthy guy just like him. That’s how they roll, and how they put the “Liberal” justification behind every line of BS they throw out.
