In my own political vernacular, here’s how I describe folks on the Left:
a) Centre Left (extremely moderate, often apolitical)
b) Left (mostly moderate, views often not powered by facts)
c) Far Left (not moderate, entirely driven by emotions, hypocrisy galore)
d) Radical Left (extremist, almost all views fueled by hatred)
e) Rabid Left (likely mentally ill, often incoherent, righteousness on steroids)
Anecdotal evidence suggests that most SDA Trolls fall into categories ‘d’ or ‘e’.
However, a new report from the Vancouver Police Department suggests that Rabid Leftists, part of Occupy Vancouver, have taken to actually biting officers to get their impressions across. This isn’t going to end well.

Man bites… man. Details at 11.
at 5 am bring in about twenty fencing crews and put up 10 ft high fences around the Vancouver Squat. Have police available to guard the fencing.
Bring in garbage trucks and cleaners . . clean up the Squat.
When the Leftoids wake up around noon and show up to hang out it will be over

Yeah it may not end well, but make no mistake….it will end.
Gregor Robertson woke up for a bit, but I see he has gone back to sleep. Perhaps hibernating. I hope Susan Anton wins because she has said she will do something.
Suzanne Anton. Sorry.
I reiterate my nomination of Robert as Kate’s eventual successor on SDA.
…to actually biting officers to get their impressions across.
Biting has a way of doing that…..
Robert:
Perhaps you could explain a few things for those of us who have never lived in Vancouver, Victoria, or even in B.C.
Why is it that the mayors of these two cities think they need to ask permission from courts to enforce what appears to me to be violations of ordinary bylaws? Do the bylaws not exist in Vancouver or is the mayor lacking sufficient courage to permit the police to do their jobs?
As in Vancouver, a B.C. Supreme Court hearing will be held on Victoria’s application later Tuesday.
Why is this issue being decided at the level of the B.C. Supreme Court? Whereas this issue should not be settled by courts at this stage, nevertheless, it is, but how did it get to this level so quickly?
Both the Victoria and Vancouver mayor support OWS. They’ve said as much in the past. So now that public opinion is turning they have to play both sides of the fence. Having a court injunction makes it look like the mayor didn’t do it.
Brent, I think they are worried this is a Charter rights issue.
That’s what happens when a Charter consists of a nice vague fuzzy feelgood blanket copped wholesale from some other (probably Scandinavian) country and designed to convince citizens they can do pretty much anything they want (including biting peace officers) provided they keep voting in the party that drew up the Charter.
The Vancouver police are clearly superwimps. The RCMP in BC, on the other hand, seem to be enthusiastic killers.
The solution to Vancouver’s problems would appear to be obvious.
Brent, interesting question. Perhaps others have a different theory but mine simply is that Political Correctness rules the roost out here on the Left Coast. There are more than a few full-time professional protesters (we call them “Rent-a-Crowd”) that seem to control the public dialogue on every issue under the sun. They have the contact numbers for all the media and the members of that media seem to relish hyping up the voices of these rabble rousers.
Take local prominent radio station, CKNW. It’s supposed to be the “voice” of BC. Yet I’ve seen them create news items by reading directly from the “press releases” of Far Left radical groups. The views of these folks are read out as if they’re pure fact.
This is one of many reasons why I rarely tune into CKNW anymore, even in my car. Fact is, through my iPhone I can listen to radio stations from around the world and even broadcast them via Bluetooth through my car speakers. Given all those options, why would anyone listen to the likes of ‘NW?
Agreed, Phantom and BM definitely fall into category E.
Speaking of OWS, this is disturbing on so many levels it’s hard to know where to begin. Suzuki is being beamed into Canadian classrooms to talk about the climate change and OWS.

Michael and Robert:
Thanks for the responses.
Actually Gobi, as a red blooded heterosexual male, I would of taken Susan Anton over just about anyone.
Well that was thirty years ago of course…
I posted this link last night in the tips. http://www.vancouversun.com/Video+Occupy+Vancouver+turns+violent+Monday+night/5676509/story.html
There is a 20 minute video included.I never made it past about the 5 minute mark, but I got the distinct feeling that the cops would love a few minutes of ‘up close personal’time with the fools.
It would be very fitting to take the garbage out to the curb Friday.
One more thought. Where are the native leaders these days?
Every time I hear one of these ‘occupiers’ mention a ‘sacred’ fire,I bristle. If I held something sacred,I would certainly not let a common campfire be called ‘sacred’. It demeans their cultural traditions.
OTOH,maybe being asses and making other asses feel guilty, is their culture.
Brent, the BC Supreme Court is a trial court, not a court of appeal. It’s the place to go for anything that requires a court order.
Of course, you’re quite right that this doesn’t require a court order or anything like it. The mayor simply wants to pass the decision on to a judge so as not to take the responsibility himself.
If anyone else had violated bylaws, they would be removed as soon as possible. This “Occupy…” debacle is another example of political squeamishness on the part of the mayor et al. The business community should make their displeasure known NOW and at election time.
Question: how long before Alex stamps his feet and accuses others of being trolls, and does this put him in category D or E?
“Rabid Leftists, part of Occupy Vancouver, have taken to actually biting officers to get their impressions across. This isn’t going to end well.”
It should…for the dentists.
“Anecdotal evidence suggests that most SDA Trolls fall into categories ‘d’ or ‘e’.

Oh c’mon now. ‘b’ it is…with the odd splash of ‘c’.
I mean, they’re so juvenile it’s hard to even call them trolls.
ebt:
Ok. Thanks for that about the BC SC.
