After the disappointing conservative fail in Ontario, Sask drops the writ on Monday.

I’m looking at relocating to SK if things go the way I think they will in ON. Can anyone recommend a good place to look for work for a senior computer systems and network administrator? Are there particular parts of the province that are tech-focused?
Daniel,
Saskatoon has more openings in your field than Regina. see saskjobs.ca
Conservative fail in Ontario or PROGRESSIVE con fail?!?
Gee Dwain is already predicting victory on November 7th. Anything to keep the hopes of the rank and file up. The sad thing is, the greedy union leadership in this province thinks that it is actually true if they spend more of their members’ hard earned money on phoney ads. What a joke.
Exactly, Robert W. You hit the nail on the head.
I just hope the PC shills on this site would at least man up and own their defeat. I don’t want to hear their endless whining.
Remember this is happening right after REAL conservatism won in the FREAKING GTA with Ford and the federal Conservatives. This is happening at a time when the Ontario economy is in terrible shape and the people were fed up with Dolton.
Only a total IMBECILE like Hudak could lose this election. This guy looked and spoke like a weasel and the people of Ontario saw right through him. This was a self-fulfilling prophecy. Nominate a Red Tory with no real conviction in conservative principles and attain yourselves to the consequences.

From the CBC online … a story on comments received over the course of the ON election produces a puzzler after the fact …
“I hope that the result will lead to compromise and cooperation between the two centre-left parties while staying mindful of the fragile nature of the economy,” said StanlyG.
That would be The Progressive Conservatives and who?
Just wondering…A couple of days ago there was a provincial election in Manitoba with a NDP win.
Was the NDP support centred in and around Winnipeg with the rural vote Conservative?…or did the whole province vote NDP?
WHY IS IT THAT THE LEFT HAVE NOT AND THE RIGHT HAVE?
Danny hates Lieberals: Exactly!
This is more exciting than the baseball playoffs!
Will the Left triumph,AGAIN? They’ve won two out of three so far, three of four if you count PEI as a Province. 😉
God,I hope Sakabushers are more politically astute than their Eastern brethren.
It will be an absolute LANDSLIDE victory!!
See ya Dawaine
Daniel; If you decide to come here then, WELCOME to Saskatchewan, the greatest province in this here great country. We welcome all hard working, self supporting free enterprise people such as yourself. Ontario’s loss is our gain. Bring your brothers and sisters with you, the more the merrier. We have acres and acres of land to settle on and the most freindly neighbors you will find in this great country. Housing prices are still resonable and rent is pretty cheap. We don’t discriminate against race, creed, or color, we only ask that you pull your own weight. We are no longer the socialist paradise that Tommy Douglas once promoted, but a growing free enterprise powerhouse in the North American economy.
P.S. Our air is really clean!
Funny, Saskatchewan also has a conservative fail called Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party. If you like them why don’t you like the NDP? Their policies are identical.
Oh, Oh, I may have goofed, as somehow it posted twice, but anyway, this is great news.
What Hudak didn’t spend enough time on:
“The secret of success is sincerity.
Once you can fake that you’ve got it made.”
Sometimes attributed to George Burns (who may have said something similar about acting),
it apparently goes back to Jean Giraudoux, the French diplomat, dramatist, and novelist.
While “keep it simple” is good advice, keeping it contemptuously simplistic and moronically
repetitive isn’t too well received by potential supporters.
.
Ken, this is great news for you long suffering Saskabushians, this would not have happened without Harper. 5 years ago I flew over to Regina to set up the water system for a feedlot north of town, the owners showed me where they had pushed 60,000 bushels of durum into a swamp after the CWB said grow as much durum as you can, we have a market,,the CWB took 20,000 bushels and said sorry, to bad we can’t sell any more, see ya. These farmers had to trash the rest since they had no more bin space and it went bad outside in piles That was the the CWB and Lieberal govts at work. Thank GOD for Harper. Happy Times are here Again, the new theme song of the Canadian farmer.
Who cares about the Ontario election….they will reap what they sow….we are lucky to have a man of Brad Wall’s integrity running our province.
Look at this video and tell me you don’t believe this man in an honest and good man. He will always do what is right for the people.
I was knocking doors in Saskatoon awhile back and a teacher questioned why the Brad Wall government was always for the big guys, big companies and not for the little man. I brought to her attention that Brad Wall government had removed provincial income tax payment for a family of four who make under $45,000, reduced small buisness tax from 4.5% to 2.2 % and reduced education & property tax by over $50 million. Wouldn’t you say these are the so-called small
people? First time I ever saw a teacher stuck for words.
Keep up the good work Brad..
Just tell all your friends and neighbours to come out and vote for the Sask Party…..lets not forget to vote on election day..This what Lingensplicer`s crew is hoping for! Great ad !!
Brad Wall…I’m so glad you are OUR guy!
Obviously Liberalsaredumber has never been to Saskatchewan. If we still had the NDP in power the public service unions would be getting richer while the working people in the province would still be paying. Dwayne linkyfelther is by far my favorite politition, he’s the best thing that ever happened to the Sask party. I hope the NDP keep him around for a long time.
bartinsky, exactly.
ryan, exactly. The unions have billboards all over the place not so subtly campaigning for the NDP and have had for months. I wonder who the poor unwilling suckers are whose union dues are paying for these signs. I know three of them, that being one daughter and two sons-in-law. They resent their union dues funding pro NDP ads, but have to keep their mouths shut or face retribution.
Consider the history of the country when Central Canada would not allow Saskatchewan and Alberta to join confederation together. They feared that the new province would dominate the country. To much natural resource wealth and the fastest growing area in the country. Well they won the day and have dominated the country’s agenda since that time. Hopefully AB can re-establish a conservative government and between the two the west can challenge for proper representation in Canada.
I would love a add BC to that equation but the Libel excuse we have for government now is an absolute joke. They will probably hand the province to the superficial NDPers next year.
Mike L. …. Reduced taxes, paying down the provincial debt, increased spending on highways and infrastructure and just plain old fiscal responsibility … these things mean absolutely nothing to the entitled public service unions. All that counts is a big raise every time a contract comes up. As the province’s finances improve, SEIU, SGEU, CUPE, etc. want what they consider to be their share of the wealth and p*ss on everybody else. The teacher that you mentioned is a prime example. These people would vote for the NDP even if Mr. Lingenfelter was caught on tape torching a nursing home using newborn kittens as an accelerant.
Fortunately for this province, there are fewer and fewer of these cretins every day.
@Ryan: the PSUs are getting richer. Brad Wall runs a socialist state that, were it not for Potash, would be stagnating once more. http://opinion.financialpost.com/2010/11/10/jack-mintz-walls-socialist-state/
You guys are just partisan idiots cheering the guy wearing blue. That’s all that’s going on here.
@Mike L.: that is adorable! He actually thinks a politician really cares about him!
Mr. Wall makes a fantastic Premiere but he would make an even better Prime Minister.
Brad Wall is a great orator who connects with the average person because he is a downhome Sask boy….heck they would even like him in Ontario.
Keep up the honest government Mr. Wall….It’s people like you and Ken Cheveldayoff & Yogi, Dan et al that keep this province on the right path to financial success.
You got my vote and everyone I know is saying the same thing….
Adios Dwain…..back to Colombia for you.
All I want to know is who stole the Saskatchewan I used to know and laugh at? I was in Saskatoon Thursday/Friday and there are so many cars in Saskatoon its off hour traffic is heavier than Edmonton’s rush hour. (of course Saskatchewan’s Cracker Jack drivers leave a lot to be desired) I decided to take the scenic route back from Saskatoon to Edmonton and followed highways 12 and 40. Believe it or not when I crossed the Alberta border heading west the highway got rougher! I couldn’t even use the ‘twin goat trails in the snow’ analogy on the Saskatchewan roadways.
Joe, you drove right through our home quarter. Hope you didn’t get lost in Krydor.
The trip east from Edmonton should get easier after the completion of the south-west part of Circle Drive. They are also in the planning stages of another bridge on the north end of the city to take the pressure off Circle Drive/42nd Street.
