When I read the headline, I thought “Does Obama even know who the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is?!” I was so disappointed when I linked to the story.
The sooner America has dumped this martinet, the faster it will recover.

Of course knowledgeable Christians immediately associated ‘light bearer’ with the Latin word with the same meaning “Lucifer”. Somehow the words of Issiah seem appropriate, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” KJV version.
For any fundamentalist cranks out there Lucifer is not now nor ever was a Biblical name for Satan.

whit, that is what i was thinking while reading the transcript; how do these people not see through this? I assume that the CBC has some intelligent members, and I would even hazard a guess that this group might be all above average, so how does TOTUS get away with this?
Upside though, more people will see through, they have to; he’s really dumbing it down now.

Parliament just started on September 19th, we’re in an economic recession, and the General Election May 3rd just gave the CPC a majority government.
I’m sure the CBC is at the top of their agenda.
Maybe tommorrow, because the Palestinians are about to start a shooting war in the MidEast so that can’t possibly be more important than dealing with the CBC.
Maybe the CPC will shut the CBC down before the Ontario general Election October 1st because the political optics of doing something like that couldn’t possibly have an effect on the outcome of an election in the largest province in Canada.
No way could Dalton McGinchy make hay outta the CPC screwing around with a ancient Canadian institution like the CBC right before the election./
