  1. Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge:
“For those eager to put some math to the rhetoric coming from the White House over the president’s jobs creation plan, and that should be everyone, here is a quick and dirty estimate based on the numbers being thrown around of a 2% GDP increase in year 1 and 1.9 million jobs created or saved… most saved, as in those you can’t really quantify. Said otherwise, roughly a $300 billion increase in GDP yields 1.9 million jobs. So far so good. Now since the president is proposing to pay for the program over 10 years, let’s assume the $475 billion in direct expenses is financed for 10 years at 2.5% which adds roughly $120 billion to the total cost of the program. In other words, as the calculations detailed and show below elaborate, the overall AJA plan will cost $250,000 per job created (excluding the interest expense) and $312,500 per union job, er job created (including interest).”

  2. EBD;
Do you know of anyone that can photoshop Shrillary and Oblameya into that clip?
There’s money to be made in that.

  3. At the last debate, Bachmann actually gave voice to the discredited and disgraceful idea that vaccines cause autism/retardation. What an idiot. She has no business near the presidency….nor does most anybody in the GOP nom lineup or anybody in the current US administration…save maybe Hillary Clinton…but still no. Chris Christ, save us all! For your country!

  4. A Youtube video juxtaposition for your entertainment.
At the start of the video we have a report by OMNI News on the recent poll that found a majority of Canadians believing that islam and the West are “irreconcilable.” (OMNI, by the way, seems more concerned about the alleged treatment of muslims post-911 than they are concerned about the victims).
In the second half of the video, we have a belligerent muslim caller to the Arlene Bynon radio show in which he responds thusly to Juan Williams’ assertion that he’s afraid to get on a plane with people wearing muslim garb: “there’s 2 billion of us – he’d better be afraid.”

  5. Is anyone able to watch SunNews online anymore? When I try to load the page the screen says “No Signal”. It’s been that way for a few days now.

  6. libertariansaresmarter: “Bachmann actually gave voice to the discredited and disgraceful idea that vaccines cause autism/retardation.” Discredited in some circles, but alive and well in others. Unless you have researched this issue yourself and can debunk all of the studies to the contrary, you should not be dismissing Bachmann for espousing a legitimate — if unpopular point of view.

  7. Melanie Phillips:
“The tenth anniversary of 9/11 has been marked by a fresh outbreak in Britain of the political equivalent of auto-immune disease: treating the mortal enemies of the west as the victims of the west, while treating the west’s defenders as its mortal enemies.
“One thing al Qaeda got right about Britain and Europe (but not about the patriotic heartlands of the US) was that they no longer had the will to fight and die for their beliefs because they no longer knew what they were.
“Surely, however, even al Qaeda could not have envisaged quite how stunningly incapable the western intelligentsia and political class would be of grasping the difference between civilisation and its would-be destroyers, and how comprehensively they would therefore play into the Islamists’ hands – even now, ten years on…”
    The whole thing here.

I have never called Obama a dipshit.
If you read all my post you will see I have never used that word- dipshit,, to describe Pres. Obama.
I would never use that word dipshit as a description of Obama.
I might have called him Bambi,
    but never a dipshit!
sometimes I said he was a dipstick,
    but never a dipshit.
dipshit is a good definition, but I would never use it.

  12. Toronto Star, Sunday, Sept. 11, Haroon Siddiqui.
    http://www.thestar.com/opinion/editorialopinion/article/1051881–siddiqui-pm-s-rhetoric-stokes-fires-of-division
Siddiqui: “So what’s Stephen Harper doing proclaiming that the biggest threat to Canada is ‘Islamicism?'”
    Telling the truth?
Siddiqui: “If Canada does face a grave threat, it does so from Muslim terrorists who use religious terminology — just as Andrei Breivik did in Norway. He invoked Christianity; they invoke Islam. He saw himself as a soldier in the war against the imagined takeover of Europe by Muslims. They see themselves as warriors against the American and NATO invasion and occupation of Muslim lands. His terror was no more ‘Christian’ than theirs is ‘Islamic.'”
Those “Muslim terrorists who use religious terminology” are normally referred to as ‘Islamists’ (‘Islamicists’ was a little off, but everybody knew what the PM meant).
Breivik didn’t claim to be Christian, only that he was fond of the culture that arose under it. But Islamists claim that no one apart from themselves is Muslim.
Siddiqui: “More insidiously, [Harper] has followed a divide-and-conquer electoral policy of wooing smaller minorities that have come to Canada escaping persecution in Muslim lands — Coptic Christians from Egypt, Bahais from Iran, Ahmadis from Pakistan. … They have every right to their grievances and to lobby Ottawa to protest such violations of human rights. But it is unconscionable for a Prime Minister to be fanning old-country divisions in Canada for political gain.”
This is laughable. The PM isn’t fanning anything. The depredations of the offending “Muslim” governments are self-fanning. And wasn’t going for the ethnic vote the Liberals’ modus operandi for decades?
Haroon Siddiqui’s problem is that the good name of his religion has been hijacked by lunatics. He would be better off answering those lunatics rather than wasting time attacking the messengers who are doing us all a favour by raising the issue.

“The informant called the new tip line at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Officials descended upon the man’s citizenship ceremony at 9:27 a.m., yanking the alleged fraudster out of line just as he was about to be bestowed with the privilege.”
“The citizenship and immigration website outlines how to report fraud:
Canadians who know of people who are involved in false representation, fraud or knowingly concealing material circumstances in the citizenship process – for example, pretending to be present in Canada to meet the residence requirements for obtaining citizenship – are encouraged to call the citizenship fraud tipline at 1-888-242-2100.
The tipline runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday. People overseas who want to report an alleged fraud can visit the citizenship and immigration wesbite, or report it by e-mail at citizenship-fraud-tips@cic.gc.ca.”

    “‘Most Wanted’ gunman deported”
“A gunman who was one of Canada’s “Most Wanted” was deported to Jamaica in record time as officials gear up to release new mug shots of other dangerous criminals hiding here, officials say.
About a dozen photos of suspected war criminals and foreign offenders will replace those captured due to help from the public after two lists of fugitives were released by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Public Safety Ministry officials said.
Six suspected war criminals and four foreign hoodlums were rounded up since the names of the suspects were publicly released. Five of the men have been deported and one has left the country.”

“White House pressed on $500 million loan”
“The Obama White House tried to rush federal reviewers for a decision on a nearly half-billion-dollar loan to the solar-panel manufacturer Solyndra so Vice President Biden could announce the approval at a September 2009 groundbreaking for the company’s factory, newly obtained e-mails show.
The Silicon Valley company, a centerpiece in President Obama’s initiative to develop clean energy technologies, had been tentatively approved for the loan by the Energy Department but was awaiting a final financial review by the Office of Management and Budget.
The August 2009 e-mails, released to The Washington Post, show White House officials repeatedly asking OMB reviewers when they would be able to decide on the federal loan and noting a looming press event at which they planned to announce the deal. In response, OMB officials expressed concern that they were being rushed to approve the company’s project without adequate time to assess the risk to taxpayers, according to information provided by Republican congressional investigators.
Solyndra collapsed two weeks ago, leaving taxpayers liable for the $535 million loan.”

“Taxpayers foot bill for CBC’s TIFF party”
“Some of the biggest celebrities in the entertainment world came together to party in Toronto last week, and even though you weren’t invited, you paid for it.”
“In clip posted on CBC’s website, a reporter for the state broadcaster asked Stroumboulopoulos why he was throwing the party.
“I’ve always wanted to be in a band, not a solo artist,” Stroumboulopoulos said. “And I want to be in a community. I’ve always thought that community is interesting. An individual is a tree. A group of individuals is a forest. And forests are strong and they’re beautiful and they work together and they feed other things and other things feed them.
“I like partying with people,” he added, “you know, so, tonight I come and I get to see my friends, you know. And that’s fun.””

“Local elections took place in Norway over the weekend. The center-right Conservative party was the big winner with its share of the vote rising 8.7% to 28%, threatening the Labour party’s traditional standing as Norway’s largest party.
Only 62% of the population voted, compared to 61% in the last elections, even after the government called for increased turnout to express distaste for the actions of Behring Breivik, who murdered 77 people in a protest against Labour party immigration policies.”

  21. Syncrodox and bernie, the best part of the entire @attackwatch account the #attackwatch hashtag is that there is no way they can take it back now. It’s out there now and the Twitter community on the right has pretty much taken complete ownership of it.

nv53 @2:31 – I am beyond sick of this “Breivik was a Christian” meme. Do these people realize that Christianity is a religion, involving believing in stuff and going to church and so forth?
