“A robotic Sustainer-in-Chief with an eerie inhumanity will not satisfy.”

Quite. And here’s how “immigration reform” is working out through administrative fiat (the Gray Lady likes it):

The White House has just taken a large step toward a more sensible and lawful policy on illegal immigration. The administration said that it would stop deporting illegal immigrants who pose no threat to public safety or national security so that it can focus on catching and expelling criminals who do…

  1. Just by being in the country illegally proves they are willing to break laws to their own benefit. Not much difference…Just looks like a cute way for Obama to circumvent laws he doesn’t like.

  2. Aren’t invalid Either-Or arguments fun?
First, as pointed out, being in the country illegally is already a criminal act. So, this suggests that according to the US govt, it is perfectly OK to enter the US illegally..and stay..as long as you don’t do ANOTHER criminal act. Phew; glad to know that.
But wait, hasn’t this same Obama government sued Arizona, for its law that says that, IF you apprehend someone doing something criminal (eg, robbing a bank) THEN, you can also find out if they are in the country illegally!
But Obama’s govt says: No. You can’t ask them about the guy doing the criminal act about his immigration status! They are suing Arizona for daring to do this.
But..umm..doesn’t this mean, that Obama’s govt says that IF an illegal is doing something criminal..you can’t explore his illegal status..so, how can this govt ‘catch and expel crimials who are illegals..when Obama says you can’t ask them about their residency status’? How? How?
As with all of Obama’s actions, this is really All About Him. Obama’s poll numbers are dwindling in the hispanic community…so..this is for his Polls.
Oh, and it’s also about something else. The Obama Gang has a deliberate agenda of empowering the Executive and weakening Congress. That means, weakening the will and power of The People. Obama now has a clear pattern of ignoring the laws passed or rejected by Congress. He goes ahead, ignoring the law…and sets up an unelected department to carry out that action – which was already rejected by Congress. How’s that for Presidential Power?

  3. Obviously the US needs a Vic Toews to begin with.
What kind of American first immigration philosophy do you expect from a president that travels around the country preaching America first in two buses built in another country. Now don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the business, but the optics don’t look so good.

  4. Immigration reform, Job growth, 14 trillion dollar debt- The BP gulf Glut oil spill, the tsunami in Japan, the wall street bailout, GM-Chrysler bankruptcy, the failed Green men jobs,
the AIG, Fanny’s ass and Mae mortgages for the no pay..
ITS NOT HIS FAULT- IT WAS ALL BAD LUCK, I think..
    * A vacationing U.S. President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking “common sense” measures he said would create jobs and help growth.*
President Obummer should now blame Small Dead Animals for allowing me to post this shit…

  5. “We are on the precipice.”
    Who said that?
Was it Hitler on the 29th of April ’45 – or Custer after his third arrow at the Little Bighorn?

  6. All i can say is that this is the lesser of two evils so to speak , as in i would rather have the police first geting the bad illigal immigrant’s out before the good (if i can say that) illigal immigrant’s out.

  7. There will be open warfare in the Arizona desert before Christmas, that is pretty well guaranteed at this point.
Jan Brewer may deploy the AZ National Guard to beef up the cops and civilians who are already out there right now, today, having firefights with the Mexican drug cartels. If Barry has his way, US Border Patrol may end up fighting on the Mexican side.
This is how civil wars start.

  8. OTOH, this IS the US Immigration Dept. which does not have a single employee who could find their own @ss with both hands and a map. Therefore the new edict is just an extension of what they already do: nothing.
There will still be open warfare in the Arizona desert, however.

  9. What ET said re Obama. This problem goes back to Reagan’s amnesty when three million illegals were legalized but he failed to secure the border. That sent a pretty clear message to Mexico, the invasion is “game-on”.
The tours of duty for the US Army should be the Southern Border where national interest is obvious rather than the futility of trying to civilize the Islamic wastelands. Ending the war on drugs would make it a cake-walk.
