Things You'll Never See On The CBC

Local radio here also reported that PM Harper paid for the rounds for his party. That is in character. Mrs Harper visited our local bakery a few years back and refused to take anything for free.

Wait, wait, wait. Harper is a regular guy? This does not fit well with the state-funded CBC narrative that he is the next Fascist anti-Christ.

Good on him.
I bet he even got through The Windmill in a one-er.

I wonder which part you wouldn't see? Harper is (as Kyle put it) a normal guy or the first seven words?

"One of the world's most powerful leaders"

Either way, stop the CBC.

If Iggy were PM he'd be sitting in his castle all summer in Transylvania.

Well, Harper IS the illegitimate leader of a military dictatorship, at least according to the Left.

things you might see on CBC--

Critics say"legs not required for jumping events"

Harper mum on proposal to have athletics moved to lowest common denominator.

who has friends in Buffalo, I'm from Ontario and nobody has friends in Buffalo. Except Steve, reminds me of Joe Who and Brian what's his name. They have more friends in Buffalo than they have here.

KD Omalley whines about using the title PrimeMinister in an award. like the "Presidents Cup" the "Duke of Edinburg " Award. yadayada, nope ????. Not for the whining civil servant of the left.and to think the CBC tasked out a report to find out why folks think they are lefties.

Blanks,

Bob Rae has more friends in Buffalo (gained during his premiership) than all other federal and provincial politicians combined.

The only Buffalo residents that Rae definitely is not friends with are all of the former Ontario business owners who fled to Buffalo during Rae's Reign of Error.

Correction Mark R - Boob Rae probably has ACQUAINTENCES in Buffalo. Mr. Harper probably has an ever increasing number of friends there that may be on their way 'Home' given the effects of the O'Hole on the US economy.

Certainly a huge compliment to Prime Minister Harper. Happy to see this. In any case, he just may be doing things right.

Saw on CBC late last night shots of some far out racist, black shirt group with symbols. Old stuff, but CBC interspersing this with the Norwegian tragedy.

CBC do not miss an opportunity. One can almost imagine the high fives behind the scenes.

"who has friends in Buffalo, I'm from Ontario and nobody has friends in Buffalo"

Get out much?

I have lots of friends in Buffalo and western NewYork, them r good people.

GO BILLS!

I'm waiting for Obama to visit his freinds up here and be spotted at the local curling rink.....

"Freinds"?, that don't look quite right.

Let me see, is it "i" before "e"...except after something else?
Or is "when two vowels go walking one does the talking"?

Nope, that's not it either I think...

Oh what the hell, who really cares?

Who needs an education anyway? Everything I needed to know in life, I learned by the light of my momma's cigarette.

Served me well so far.

bethesdaguy; thanks for the chuckle :)

Mal at 11:27 AM: "I bet he even got through The Windmill in a one-er."

Impossible.

A Prime Minister we can truly be proud of! Of course, the CBC doesn't want us to be proud of anything, least of all Canada.

Of course you wouldn't see this on the CBC...the PMO wouldn't let the Canadian media within 50 feet of Harper. And only if he was behind a chain link fence. And they would be limited to five questions submitted weeks in advance for approval by the PMO.

Stephen Harper hates Canadians. Why does he want to be our Prime Minister?

You'd NEVER see that story, and sentiment on the Ceeb, for godamsure!

Bak @ 6:58 PM

You are a dick plain and simply put. Fouck off and go elsewhere.

bverwey

Yes, but after his round, I bet he killed a few kittens! :}

Good for PM Harper.

Bak is just ticked because PM Harper won't wear a Che T-shirt.

Gee whiz Bak, is that all you can come up with?

for example

"we are starting to see Harper's "secret agenda"

step 1 - hijack Canadian election and steal a victory

step 2 - give jack layton cancer

step 3 - ?????"

c'mon, we expect more from you than that pathetic accusation.

try harder....

Harper is "one of the world's most powerful leaders." Remember when Chretien was the "unidentified man?"
http://righteouswest.wordpress.com/2011/07/27/harper-vs-chretien/

This story isn't carried much. All I see is an article online in the National Post, Winnipeg free Press and some in the U.S.
I don't think the Sun is carrying it or the Globe or CTV either. Unless I missed it.

Of course you wouldn't see this on the CBC...the PMO wouldn't let the Canadian media within 50 feet of Harper.

You've got a point there, if only some tech savvy media journalist would put a telescope in front of a camera lens or even cross a camera lens with a telescope, they could give it a jazzy name like, oh I dunno, telephoto lens or something similar...

And only if he was behind a chain link fence.

Yes, yes, the old chain link fence gambit.
But you have to admit a section of chain link fence is cheaper than giving the PM body guards and Canada is still in tough economic times so you've got to give Stephen Harper credit there for saving some money.

And they would be limited to five questions submitted weeks in advance for approval by the PMO.

Well I guess that’s just the fallout from that 'pocketing the Eucharist' scandal the media tried to foist on the Prime Minister a couple of years ago.
The media never did apologize for that and one can't be too careful with people who don't apologize for past attempts at character assassination.

Stephen Harper hates Canadians. Why does he want to be our Prime Minister?

Stephen Harper was born and raised in Toronto and all Torontonians hate Canada, Canadians, Ontario, and especially Toronto.
You can't really blame Stephen Harper for the culture he was raised in can you?
I thought you Lefties were all for respecting an individual's culture, apparently I have the wrong impression about that.

Still, I'm glad Stephen Harper is our Prime Minister because he's "One of the World's most Powerful Leaders" and I for one want Canada to have a powerful leader in these uncertain times.

Cheers

Stephen Harper was raised in Toronto until he was 18. He's about the same age as me. Then he moved to Edmonton. His father worked for Imperial Oil and so did Harper. He changed his politics from Liberal to Conservative because of the NEP. The NEP was originally instituted to protect Canadians from high oil prices. Mulroney won an election on the promise to get rid of it but he didn't until oil prices were low. So the Reform party was formed.

The results of the NEP program? Canada did not experience the extreme negative recession other countries did. We fared better than others. It wasn't popular in Canada ( especially Alberta ) but compared to other countries we did better. It was a failure because the Liberal Gov't predicted it would do better than it did so they were criticized for that.

As to Harper's media control. No PM prior to him is so afraid of the media. Trudeau and Chretian and Mulroney were willing to give them the finger if necessary and report it. For a Gov't that says it represents openness and accountability, it's a failure.

I'm with Les and the other comrades... Harper eats kittens and has no business playing mini-golf or giving Canada any sort of good image within the world stage...

/sarc

Oz..LOL! Why do visions of Chretien cloistered with his global summit buddies at a retreat in Kananaskis assault my eyeballs? The journalists fumed from Calgary....

"I'm with Les and the other comrades... Harper eats kittens and has no business playing mini-golf or giving Canada any sort of good image within the world stage..."

If you were concerned about Harper giving a good image on the world stage, then you wouldn't be concerned about this.

"I'm with Les and the other comrades... Harper eats kittens and has no business playing mini-golf or giving Canada any sort of good image within the world stage..."

No one really cares about Harper playing mini-golf. It doesn't have any international implications.

The Canadian Gov't having meetings with Chinese officials in Ottawa and sending them a congratulations card on 90 years of the communists party and their party and declaring that they are now a major "ally" of ours does.

We are now best friends with a country that murders people that don't agree with the Gov't.
According to our Harper Gov't, we have so much in common with them.

The left in Canada objects to selling our values on human rights for money.

I'm really interested in hearing the sale value for your soul.

Prime Minister Iggy would not be doing Mini-golf in Buffalo. He would be eating a Russian cereal and reading War and Peace aloud to his wife!:-) Check this out:

Les at 3:30 AM: Think of the message the overtures to China send to those Americans who are fighting over the Keystone pipeline. Frankly, I think this Chinese initiative is at least 50% intended to tell the Americans to shove it. The other 50% is to hedge our bets. If the Yanks don't want the pipeline, then at least we'll be ready to put the pipeline over top the Rockies and out to our West coast ports. The ground work with our potential Asian customers will have been laid before hand.
