Here's two examples of the fact that not all popular musicians are smug, politically correct ponces.
First, one-named singer Morrissey, formerly of The Smiths:
"Although I don't have anything against people from other countries, the higher the influx into England the more the British identity disappears, so the price is enormous. If you travel to Germany, it’s still absolutely Germany. If you travel to Sweden, it still has a Swedish identity. But travel to England and you have no idea where you are."
"It matters, because the British identity is very attractive. I grew up into it, and I find it quaint and very amusing. But England is a memory now. Other countries have held on to their basic identity, yet it seems to me that England was thrown away....If you traveled to Croatia tomorrow for instance, and walked around Zagreb hearing nothing but Dublin accents, you'd find it shocking...Whatever England is now, it's not what it was and it's lamentable that we've lost so much."
"You can't say 'Everybody come into my house, sit on the bed, have what you like, do what you like.' It wouldn't work. Millions of people leave the country every year because they don't recognise the place, so I'm not saying anything unusual."
And here's an excerpt from an article in the Daily Mail about The Who's Roger Daltrey:
"A lifelong Labour voter, he’s disgusted by the last Government. ‘I was appalled at what Labour did to the working class — mass immigration, where people were allowed to come here and undercut our working class,’ says Roger.
"‘It’s fine to say everybody can come into your country, but everybody should work towards a standard of living expected by people who live here. Not come here, live 20 to a room, pay no tax, send money home and undercut every builder in London. They slaughtered the working class in this country. I hate them for it because it is always the little man who is hurt badly. It’s terrible. It frustrates me.'
"‘We have got to stop pandering to people because we won’t be able to afford to keep this going. At the very least, it should be a pre-requisite that people have to learn English.'
"‘Talk about sticking their head up their a***. The arrogance, the audacity. They don’t realise how hard the average man has to work to get that and to pay those taxes.’"
Finally, a sensible Brit:
Sir David King: world should abandon Kyoto protocol on climate change
Oh, what's this?
...UK's former chief scientist calls instead for a system where each nation is awarded a carbon emissions quota based on population
Never mind.

Among Egypt's population of 80 million, some 32 million are illiterate. They engage in subsistence farming that is too inefficient to support them. Egypt needs to import half of its food from abroad.

Yes, that Charlotte Young clip was really well done. Tells the truth about the world of "The Ahhts" so perfectly.
(I wonder if this format would apply equally well to political ads.)
Charlotte looks like she died and nobody told her.

John Gormley finished the week of guest hosting the Charles Adler show on Sun TV with today's show featuring Saskatchewan.
A tip of my hat goes out to John for the wonderful job he did all week and today's show highlighting our wonderful province.
Actually, hosts should be careful who their replacements are! E.g., We’re happy to watch the O’Reilly Factor any time Laura Ingraham’s hosting.
Re Sun TV, we were delighted with John Gormley and, for a change, watched the 8:00 o’clock show.
This is hard to say because we really like Brian Lilley. But we think we might like John Robson even better. I wish he’d got the Coren slot. Or MAYBE Sun could give him one of Ezra’s slots: yeah John Robson! (And his hair’s improved too!!)
Here’s a Power Line story, “Spring-Rice Never Met Barack Obama”, with a MARVELLOUS picture of a two-year-old, cry baby Obama. A picture’s worth at least 1 000 words!

I think the 'top comment' on Youtube sums it up for most internet junkies.
revnant dream, what you are really saying is that Egypt has 80 million people and 32 million can feed themselves and the other 48 million have to rely on imported food.Remember this and remember it well,ALL farmers were subsistance farmers till technology and personal property rights allowed them to feed others. Both are lacking in Egypt. The people in the cities should be worried. It will not stop in Egypt.

"We shall argue that consensus among a reference group of experts thus concerned is relevant only if agreement is not sought. If a consensus arises unsought in the search for truth and the avoidance of error, such consensus provides grounds which, though they may be overridden, suffice for concluding that conformity is reasonable and dissent is not. If, however, consensus is aimed at by the members of the reference group and arrived at by intent, it becomes conspiratorial and irrelevant to our intellectual concern."

Who are these people?
Toronto just keeps getting weirder and weirder.
And, BTW, when I was recently in Calgary, I noticed that the women there are far better turned out than Toronto fems, who too often look like sluts -- that's right, sluts -- who have just awakened from an inebriated night before, having not changed their clothes, combed their hair, or brushed their teeth.
It's painful walking down a Toronto street ... :-(
The Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association has issued a statement regarding the mosqueteria in Toronto. They express their view on tolerance, respect, diversity, etc. In the release is this,"It furthers the aims
of the Education Act by maximizing instruction time for its students."
My translation is, "Our religion is 'numero uno'(that's french for #1),we will skip more classes if you don't bend over and accommodate our religion,so get used to it, 'kaffir' (that's islamic for you don't count).
If you care to comment on their statement, remember, they are lawyers who represent the new/ok Canada.
http://www.caircan.ca/downloads/CMLA_Statement_re_Valley_Park_Middle_School_15_July_2011.pdf
Further to my above post.
One thing that this accommodation does that I've yet to see mentioned,is it solidifies the concept that Islam is above the law in the minds of the students there and across the country.
If Islamic rule is allowed to over-ride the rules of the school system,it cements the notion that 'islam' rules trump all,and it is best to allow it to happen. Incrementally, but surely,we are being transformed. This statement from the 'religion's lawyers is a warning, they will fight for this 'accomodation'.
Their toe-hold in society soon becomes a foot-hold,then a stranglehold.
BTW,what self-respecting 'artist' keeps 'Charlotte Young' as their name ?
You'd think that to make her work more esoteric, and thereby valuable, she would have changed it to something along the lines of 'Oaktree Waterwell'.
