Our correspondent in Fort Worth approached Pastor Billy Graham-Wafer of the 30,000 strong Fort Worth Jesus is Lord Cathedral. Although Wafer refused an interview, he did say that Christians are joyous because today was the day that God had struck a blow against the Great Cultural Marxist Devil.
... the details.

The Archbishop of Panderbury took a rather different line, saying that dialogue with Breivik would bring about meaningful social change, and that Breivik law would be acceptable in the Breivik community.
How soon before this Rooters piece is picked up and spread by the MSM?
Mary Shelley had a dream.
The distraction and deflection on this story is mind numbing...
The leftish MsM will never allow this story to become an opening to
honest debate about the failure of multiculturalism.
To the left, multiculturalism is NOT failing and anyone who disagrees is a racist bigot.
The left constantly demand compromise from their ideological opponents,
they wave compromise around like it's some kind of badge of honour,
yet never does the left compromise.. on multiculturalism.. (NEVER) if it means reduced immigration.
Anders Breivik said as much in his manifesto,
the deliberate destruction of HIS culture by Socialists has to stop !
The following is an excerpt from Breiviks manifesto.
“As long as the Labour party maintains their ideological line of politics,
whereby they deconstruct Norwegian culture and ‘mass-import’ Muslims,
they must be held accountable for treason. One cannot allow one's country to be colonised by Muslims.”
...........
IMHO
His message is valid...
His methods are not .....not by a long shot!
As long as the left refuses to compromise or even allow discussion on the failure of multiculturalism, without insisting those who disagree are racist bigots...
More and more Breiviks will be coming out of the woodwork!
Bill Maher, that vile inhuman creature at HBO will have a field day with this Christian Fundamentalist/Oslo thing i'm sure.
Anything for ratings you say?...Most likely. Maher; he use to be a decent Libertarian when he had his ABC show "Politically Incorrect" but he wasn't always talking on the side of establishment MSM/Hollywood so he went full blown "progressive" lefty to have a secured TV voice...He's just a whore.
Breitbart took him on about him not being a Libertarian anymore...A thing of beauty:
http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/jjmnolte/2010/09/25/breitbart-busts-maher-so-youre-officially-not-a-libertarian-anymore/
...and the reverend Fred Phelps was also unavailable for comment...so was Robert Mugabe....
Enough of this shit! How deep can you dig?
William in Ajax has a point. Don't forget Khrushchev was quoted as saying during the early 1960s " one step back, two steps forward" and thus it has been such ever since. Compromise to a leftist is things going their way.
When a Muslim blows up a building and kills people, other Muslims stay as silent as mice.
BTW, nice spoof Cjunk. CBC and the Red Star would just love to be able to get away with reporting a "news" item such as this. They are already coming as close to this as they can.
When the London subway was blown up, it was done by ‘home-grown terrorists.'
When the Fort Hood massacre occurred, the religion of the perpetrator was never brought up.
When one whack-job CLAIMS to be Christian, all the rest are smeared.
Bill O'Reilly has a very good commentary on this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmtNPMvl0Xc
What that from The Onion?
Great parody: Billy Graham-Wafer... LOL!!!
It's clear that Breivik's not "a Christian fundamentalist." From his "Manifesto":
"Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I'm not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Europe."
"If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God, then you are a religious Christian. Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God. We do, however, believe in Christianity as a cultural, social, identity and a moral platform. This makes us Christian [in a general sense]."
Breivik admits to being as much as a Christian as an atheist does, not sure how that makes him a Christian. He is a secular Christian I guess you could say, which of course voids the whole relationship with Jesus. Which to any person that knows something about Christianity, would understand that without Jesus you can't be a Christian.
Doesn't really matter anyhow, the time of serious discussion in the world has been crucified. Time for a bowl of Fruitloops and Coca-Cola.
From today's Toronto Red Star editorial:
"The best catharsis Norway can have is to expose a mass murderer for what he is, to publicly refute his twisted ideology and to bring him to justice. The light and air of a public courtroom are the best disinfectants. This case matters to other European countries as well. Rightwing nationalism is a growing scourge that can inspire a lunatic fringe. "
Can you imagine them writing the following?
"The best catharsis America can have is to expose mass murderer Nidal Hasan for what he is, to publicly refute his twisted ideology and to bring him to justice. The light and air of a public courtroom are the best disinfectants. This case matters to European countries as well. Islam is a growing scourge that can inspire a lunatic fringe."
Nope. Me neither.
The guy says IS NOT A CHRISTIAN in his 1500 page manifesto of drivel.
Graham-Wafer? ... Roosters? ..., Coyote News? ... this must be a joke. I can't believe some of the stuff that's being said about this event.
It was horrid and only a disturbed person or perhaps a Jihadist could do such a thing. But one thing is constant in all this ... There IS a Muslim take over of Europe in progress. That is not being addressed.
@Ken: If you didn't already know (or for anyone curious about Soviet history), the "one step back, two steps forward" was also called the "Lenin tango" in the 20s, in reference (at least) to the New Economic Program (NEP) in Ukraine. Lenin's contemporaries didn't all agree with market liberalization, which created at new class of kulak-like "NEP-men", and he incorporated this metaphor in his defense.
Lenin also penned something titled "two steps back, one forward" years earlier in reference to the split of the Social Democratic Labour Party into bolshevik and menshevik factions. The man did a solid amount of stepping...
Listen to Devils and Dust by Springsteen. Haunting when you are reading about Breivik.
max, exactly. Although I have not read the term "Lenin tango" in any of the books I have, it does suit the process Lenin used and his contemporary followers use today.
Fortunately my gpa was not fooled by NEP and, as I have related here in the past, got out in 1926 when he had the chance. Fortunately the bureaucracy had not tied up all the loose ends at that time and he eluded the OGPU and crossed the border into Latvia before they caught up to him. His two brothers dallied, believed in the NEP propaganda, and ultimately paid the price.
The left will use this incident at Oslo to intensify their attacks against Christianity just like Lenin used the 1921 made made famine to begin his attack against the Orthodox church.

Yeah pretty much... I think the honourable Pastor Billy Graham-Wafer should have worded his statement better....
How the Norwegians handle this will either defuse this issue or fan the flames further....I think the latter....lefities ain't the sharpest knives in the drawer.....
We do, however, believe in Christianity as a cultural, social, identity and a moral platform. This makes us Christian [in a general sense]."

Nope. But the United Church of Canada will take you anyway....;)
Rooters News Agency?
This is non-funny attempt at satire right?
Apparently, some people need a satire warning...
Jamie MacMaster, that's not my quote. It's what Anders Behring Breivik said in his "Manifesto."
I prefaced that quote by this sentence: It's clear that Breivik's not "a Christian fundamentalist." From his "Manifesto":
You, obviously, didn't read my comment very carefully -- either that, or you have a processing problem. You need to be much more careful about attributing that quote -- any quote -- to the wrong person.
I repeat: I did not say what you have attributed to me. Anders Behring Breivik wrote it in his "Manifesto."
Knacker: "He is a secular Christian ..."
There's no such thing as "a secular Christian." Breivik admits to being a "cultural Christian," which means that he acknowledges that the rules and laws upon which his society are based are founded in the Judeo-Christian faith. He acknowledges that Norwegian/European societal norms are based on Judeo-Christian values -- but that he, himself, is not a practising Christian -- like probably 80-90% of Norwegians/Europeans.
In a bid to defuse tension and improve understanding and tolerance, leading Norwegian Christians are demanding the immediate construction of the Triumphant Crusader Christian Community Centre on the site of the slaughter, comprising a cathedral, an evangelical conversion hall and a commemorative recreational shooting gallery.
The Al Jazeera blog is reporting that one of the new Mexican drug cartels is calling itself "Knights Templar" (http://blogs.aljazeera.net/americas/2011/07/22/knights-templar-mexicos-newest-drug-cartel)
Of course Al Jazeera has other headlines like "Islamophobes distance themselves from Breivik". In other words, normal people (i.e. non-phobes) would support Breivik?
The hypocrisy on this site is nauseating. While Breivik probably didn't commit these acts for the sole reason of Christianity, the fact that he is a fundamentalist Christian is UNDEBATABLE.
Please give this a read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_scotsman
By the way, I guarantee that 99.99% of Muslims (I personally know many) also believe that members of al-Qaeda are not true Muslims. We Christians need to get over our sense of entitlement and stop feeling persecuted when in fact, it is the opposite.
Finally, linking O'Reilly in a serious discussion is laughable. The man is literally a professional troll.
A new mass mental illness:
"Christian-Crusaderphobia"
Ricardo, does that translate to:
El Templar Cabaleros?
Wonder how that comes out in Arabic.
batb @ 2:58pm.
I meant to put a question mark after my remark and I also don't believe in the contradiction of secular Christianity either, but I was using it in a statement based on the thought processes of those who say he is Christian.
PS good parody at Celestial Junk.
"We have chosen to respond to cruelty with proximity. We have chosen to meet hatred with unity. We have chosen to show what we stand for. "
With these words the Crown Prince began yesterday's rose marking at City Hall in Oslo.
That we will meet violence with more democracy, transparency and political involvement, has also been the politicians' most important message of recent days.
Swedish Aftonbladet describes yesterday's rose selection this way:
"It happens as if by magic. 200 000 flowers lifted in the air simultaneously. It is indescribably beautiful. It is Norway ".

I just wish the guy had been a bit more tactical and hit a few mosques.... (oops, outside voice)
Can't fool me. I know most Christians are either too dumb to understand what happened in Norway (or even figure out where is), or they're too busy reading the bible and making babies to even hear what happened. That said, some of the smarter ones are probably screeching and dancing around their tractors, right now.
Ad hominem—and an ignorant, stupid one at that—from coach: “I know most Christians are either too dumb [sic] to understand what happened in Norway (or even figure out where [it] is), or they're too busy reading the bible and making babies [sic] to even hear what happened.”
Speak for yourself. Most smart people: a) proofread what they write, especially when ridiculing others, and b) get their facts straight: i) Muslims are doing a lot of multiplying, not Christians and ii) where’s the proof of jubilant Christians dancing around tractors, or anything else, after this diabolical tragedy?
It’s quite clear to me that coach knows very few real Christians: maybe s/he knows some anti-Christian churchgoers (there are lots of them—the lefty ones: the kind who abjectly appease radical Muslims at every turn), who’d be likely to think much the way s/he does. Whatever the cause, coach’s irrational hatred of authentic Christianity and Christians is just the kind of sordid bigotry one would expect after the vile propaganda the “progressive” institutions of the West have been spewing for decades. (“Forgive them, Lord, for they know not what they do.”)
If coach doesn't want to be fooled about “dumb”, ignorant, and uninformed, not to mention bigoted, I suggest s/he acquire a very large mirror and then take a long and frank look!
Maudite do you have a learning disability? Breivik said that he was not a Christian. Now I know lots of people who have deluded themselves into believing they are Christian when they are not but I have never met a Christian who can delude himself into thinking he is not a Christian. Breivik's desire of returning Norway into its previous condition does not include his participation in the founding religion of modern Norway. He wants the milk but not the cow.
"the fact that he is a fundamentalist Christian is UNDEBATABLE"
Nothing is undebatable, Maudite. That's a classic liberal strategy: trying to shut down the debate so you don't have to face the opposition's questions any more.
I notice that despite your statement you offered no proof that Breivik was a fundamentalist Christian. If you'd actually done your homework and read his manifesto, you'd know he detested Christian fundamentalists and was afraid they might take over Norway's government.
Now pick up your bong again and go back to your hallucinogenic fantasy world...
I agree with Maudite on only one thing: Mr. Spin, himself. Bill O'Reilly's a bloviator of the first order: he distorts the facts and hedges his bets all the time. E.g., Until the facts were incontrovertible—O’Reilly’s the typical, bully sheep—he was an apologist for Obama and wouldn’t concede that he was even a “socialist”. When it seemed “safe” to join the crowd, re discussing Obama’s very socialist tactics, he jumped on the bandwagon. Bill's not very smart either. We hardly ever watch him anymore.
Maudite doesn’t fool me re this little appeasement message: “We Christians need to get over our sense of entitlement and stop feeling persecuted when in fact, it is the opposite.” Forget it.
I described the kind of “Christian” Maudite claims to be in an earlier post today on this thread (@ 9:03 a.m.):
“. . . anti-Christian churchgoers (there are lots of them—the lefty ones: the kind who abjectly appease radical Muslims at every turn), who’d be likely to think much the way [coach] does.”
I think, like coach, such people as Maudite, share his/her “. . . irrational hatred of authentic Christianity and Christians. . . [this] is just the kind of sordid bigotry one would expect after the vile propaganda the ‘progressive’ institutions of the West have been spewing for decades.”
As a “Christian”, Maudite certainly doesn’t speak for or about me.
Neither does this person speak reliably about Breikvik, who’s most definitely no Christian: first and foremost, just by looking at his demonic actions: “By their fruits ye shall know them”. Not so important, but worth noting, are Breikvik’s own words, which deny he’s Christian, other than in the sense that Norwegian society is based on (Judeo-) Christian values.
What I find intriguing is the total silence by Sarah Pallin lately....
Probably reflecting upon this and about to releaase a brief devastating face-book statement...which will be like the Hammer of Thor....
Or she is prudently silent....this IS a potential 3rd rail......
I note that the OBOZO administration is crickets ass well....this is perhaps their worst nightmare....fear of clingers....
I'm fairly certain that coach's post was another example of satire and Maudite it seems that Breivik's Christianity is very DEBATABLE.
He seems to be Christian in the sense that he was born is a historically Christian nation and that's about it. Secular Christian, Ethnic Christian, Christian Athiest, whatever you want to call it as it once you have to qualify it, it seems less than authentic.
Hey lookout, the thread is about sarcasm, you stupid c**t.
Why don't you chill out coach? It's not always obvious who is being sarcastic on-line.
Considering that coach seems definitely short on humour (as well as grace and manners), it's no wonder I missed the sarcasm angle of the original post. (The form is usually to indicate, “/sarc off”, or similar.)
If coach had responded reasonably to my inadvertent mistake, I’d have definitely apologized. However, considering that his/her vicious and deliberate response is far worse than my error and obviously not sarcastic, I’m not inclined to do so.
Perhaps coach would like to reconsider his/her gutter language, over the top, verbal assault, and then get a grip.
P.S. Thanks, Les. I altogether agree: there's a mixture of posts here, and many are straight up.
Cheers.
For the benefit of any ill-informed reader who imagines there is some actual issue here, Maudite is lying. Breivik has never in his life had any ties to any fundamentalist church. His background is mainstream liberal Christian.
