Well I am amazed.

They have only lost half off their viewing audience?

I figured by now they must be down to family and friends watching - just to see if their meal ticket still has a job lying on air.

Who is the powerful media mogul who owns CNN? Shouldn't he be controlled like they want to do with Murdoch?

The half of the audience remaining and still being polled, they likely just have CNN playing in the background, because it's mindless repetition helps them to sleep.

It is a crying shame that so many facts get in the way of a good human interest story.

Do CNN writers start out at CBC? or is it the other way around?

This can't be true because my mom watches CNN and she swears that Anderson Cooper (Vanderbilt) and Ali Velshi are just dandy! CNN is THE word for news in her world.

On a more serious note, I have an aquaintance at work that has a mother addicted to CNN as well. He is trying to sway her to watch more CBC because according to him, CNN is too right wing. I kid you not....

These folks have taken a once good network. Than tuned it into just another Marxist propaganda organ for the Democrates.
Truth does not matter at CNN .In fact obscuring reality is now their full time job. That & out right falsehood.
No wonder anyone with any integrity have abandoned this Bull pucky factory.
I can even remember when it became bad.
When they kept Arnett ( Later disgraced) in Bagdad in the first Persian Gulf war.
From then on its been a slide down the greased pole . Lubricated with lies.

I do no consider CNN any more legitimate than the CBC or CTV, the other US networks I am not familiar with other than FOX. Reporting is no longer about the facts, in fact for most reporters and producers they are a nuisance. Used to be that the facts and sources had to be verified and documented before they could be run, doesn't seem to bee the case now-a-days.

You have a real point, Larry, as CNN has the U.S. airports broadcasting contract so it plays in every U.S. airport no matter its ratings or who in the lounge etc. wants to actually watch it.

The don't need to snoop on anyone to get a story ... they just need time to make it up.

CBS...ABC...NBC CNN .... all the same.

The United States of America is still the number one power on Earth with it's ultra modern military might and the most important aspect of it all: The greenback money printing press...The world's exchange currency.
The (Big Money influenced) US controls the Forth Estate (Media) pretty much 100% IMO...All the major ones that have some impact anyway.
This is why there seems to be less and less real journalistic investigation. News organisations get their talking points prepackaged...No need to hire/go out to investigate with journalists.

The forth estate has become some sort of shopping channel...They 'sell' messages. When it's not the mouthpiece for Gubmint (Politics) then it's the mouthpiece to sell products : "Our latest findings conclude that vitamin D needs to be taken daily"...(Infomercial paid by vitamin manufacturers?)

I don't know about you but I find there is very little difference between CNN and FOX...FOX reports the SAME headlines but with a right wing flavor built in...And that`s the key point to raise serious concern about news organisations being controlled: ALL THE SAME HEADLINES...All the same talking points.

Bottom line:
Fight to keep the internet "free"...It's the only place left where you can find some viewpoints other than the "pre-approved by `bigmoney` for release`` kind and/or unbiased in depth analysis.

Goodness! Why bother discovering the facts when it is much simpler to define the facts? As long as the little people believe their broadcasts, the narative simply has to be internally consistant. It certainly needs no relationship to the real world.
