This situation goes beyond politics. It is a criminal conspiracy that resulted in the death of a federal law enforcement officer. It reaches to the highest levels of the Obama administration. In my mind, this makes Watergate look insignificant. It is essential that an independent special prosecutor be appointed to get to the bottom of who knew what and when. Those responsible need to be dealt with and prosecuted. Reappointment and reelection should be out of the question.

I agree that Watergate pales in comparison. As a further indication of the stupidity out there, this is still is getting only tepid attention in the news in the U.S. Canadian news is more focused David Cameron's "guilt by association" for a questionable hire. I think this is far worse than anything Murdoch's newspapers did.

Passing 2000+ illegal guns to drug gangs is a MAJOR crime that was perpetrated by the U.S. Justice Department. 150+ innocent people were killed. Clearly there are criminals running the justice system in the U.S. and the media has not bothered to take notice. In my view, by failing to shed light on this issue and call for an independent enquiry they are complicit.
