The other evening SDA commenter Bruce Wayne Riley kindly provided a link to this segment from Korea's Got Talent. It features 22 year old Sung-bong Choi who spent much of his life as an orphan living on the street. Much more about him can be found here, including the natural comparison to Susan Boyle and Paul Potts.
The comments are open, as always, for your interesting & even brilliant Reader Tips!

Washington Post is breaking the shocking news that Palin maintained a third & private e-mail account that wasn't published.
"You're bold, practical, self-confident, and you don't give a hoot what other people think about you... "

I don't care what goes on tonight. I'm wiping tears of my face while I type this.
That voice is amazing.
Oooh, gotta go, Lee Van Cleef.
Dear Black Mamba,
I'm thinking of taking on a more adventurous and dangerous life - are eating organic food a good start?
Is the city of Saskatoon slowly becoming a big pile of SHIT? Am I the only one to notice what is going on. It is June 11 and streets are still full of sand and gravel from the winter. Circle drive has not been cleaned, 42nd street/ circle drive by the commercial businesses is still filthy. Most roads in the industrial parks have not been cleaned. I can't believe that businesses in these parks are not complaining to the city. There are piles of sand on side streets just off Idlwylde. Most of STONEBRIDGE did not get cleaned. I have phoned the city numerous times but they DON'T CARE. Who is to blame? Well I'll tell you, DON ATCHISON AND MURRY TOTLAND. The voters of Saskatoon are also to blame as they keep voting for this jolly hefty useless man. The voters in Saskatoon are idiots
ChrisinMB - this shocking news would horrify, yes horrify, even the most thick skinned reporter! Oh the inhumanity! Imagine having three e-mail accounts, if you will...and Mr. Barry O has two (or maybe three)names, two (or maybe three) birth certificates, it is enough to make a reporter go mad!
That guy has an amazing voice. He deserves to be happy.
So ronery,,,,I so ronery,,,,
Dear infinitysquared - yes, chicks dig a reckless man. For this reason you should also ride a seguay, befriend infidel-lovel peace activists in the wilds of northern Pakistan and p*ss off Kate as much as possible by posting stuff that will cause her to type THIS IS NOT A CHATROOM!!! over your comment :-)
Who, moi? Well maybe; could be I'm trying to deflect attention from my own shortcomings. I'm cunning that way.
Not sure Mamba, but there may be a poser aboard. The guy's using CO2- not infinity squared (I knew how to do it once, but forgot).
Or maybe that's his handle. Anyway, looks like a piker.
Snagglepuss - you think this CO2 guy might be infinitysquared? Well, maybe. Whatever, I hope our good buddy doesn't take his life in his hands by biting into the Sprout of Doom. God invented pesticides for a reason (to weed out the hippies who shun them).
Taking my own advice - 'night all.
That young man will go far with a voice like that. I was surprised that "Korea's got talent" was in the background in english and not the local language.

"Craziest carbon credit scheme yet – shooting camels in Australia
How to Create Carbon Credits – Kill a Camel.
By Viv Forbes.
The people who brought us pink-bats and cash-for-clunkers have a new scheme – we can earn carbon credits by shooting wild camels, humanely of course.
Surely it would be far easier to shoot tame cattle? There are big mobs near all of our northern ports, going nowhere.
And if greens have their way and stop all live exports, we can earn heaps more by shooting millions of sheep and goats, humanely of course.
What about those mobs of kangaroos? They burn carbon fuel and emit dreaded carbon dioxide. Why should they be spared when the future of the planet is at stake?

"Summer snow falls on summit of Snowdon"
"The summit of Snowdon under a white blanket of snow: it's a picture postcard cliche.
But if you thought this photograph was taken in the dark days of winter then think again.
The wintry scene, at the Snowdon Mountain Railway's terminus near Hafod Eryri, was photographed at 1300 BST on Friday - in the middle of June, days before the start of Wimbledon and just over a week before the summer solstice."

Of security risk.
Socialist Jack Layton is now the Official Leader of the Opposition in Canada’s Parliament.

“The policemen warned the councillor about the dangers of hanging out in suspected bawdy houses that could be run by Asian triads.
“I remembered lecturing him on a lot of these triads, they’d videotape the customers and extort them afterwards. Jack went pale. I said to him you have to understand it’s quite possible,” he says.
“He came on a bicycle. I escorted him down and he went away on his bike.”"

CO2, what I'm trying to say is with the 3500 dollars I pay in property/education taxes I expect more. City hall is the problem, not the front line workers. The top level of management at city hall in incompetent. Fire them all. BTW CO2 how much are your taxes and no I don't need a handout. I would like a Saskatoon THAT SHINES. RIGHT NOW IT DOES NOT. ATCHISON AND TOTLAND ARE THE PROBLEM.
DJ has a good point. Atchison is too busy caving to all the eco wackjobs and socialist councilors to run the city properly.

Many years ago, in the middle of a painful e-mail exchange with an old uber-liberal friend who suffered from BDS and globalwarming paranoia, I read about David Mamet's "conversion" to the right which he proclaimed in the Village Voice. My old friend was a consumate trickster, so I played one back. I asked him, a man of no small literary pretention, what he thought of David Mamet to which I received a long glowing report.
To which I sent him a link on the conversion which contained the phrase "brain-dead liberal". Oh, the joy, the joy!
h/t Kathy Shaidle, here's
Dennis Miller's delightful interview with Mamet who himself is quite hilarious. And frightfully honest!
A twofer.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Cheering crowds in the steamy tropical heat are expected Tuesday when President Barack Obama makes a rare presidential visit to Puerto Rico. But the nearly 4 million U.S. citizens who live on the island and can’t vote in the general election aren’t really the point."

" When I say STOP,you say Harper"
The silly page leads chants very well.I may have to rethink my thoughts on her future.
This is a 6 minute video of Brigette's rally in Ottawa on Friday. Pick a song to hum while watching " If I had a rocket launcher" and " If I only had a brain" are both appropriate.

An interesting tidbit I found a few days ago:
"Thursday morning I got a formal and apologetic email from Amazon.com ending my affiliate status. It's all to do with a war over sales tax and Connecticut passed a law demanding sales tax on any sales through affiliate links, so Amazon.com terminated all Connecticut affiliates."

Listen at around 2:45 - turns out that activists in Cairo are cheering "Stop Harper!".
Heck, I'm surprised.
