I don't think that calling the Tories a 'gaggle of silly people' merits losing an office! I think the issue is - the NDP and their cloak of 'social justice' (and I still can't figure out what that term means as the two words are mutually contradictory).
At any rate, note that the CPC, although in the majority, didn't ask for the office. But the NDP has. And it has left Dion's office alone? Hardly an act of 'social justice'.
I suspect it's politics behind the scenes, with the Liberals under Rae planning to merge with the NDP and the NDP planning, not on merging, but on swallowing the Liberals.
I am with GYM. My hand still feels clammy from shaking Ralph's hand a couple of times during rail retention meetings in the early 1980s. Somehow the feeling does not wash off. He double spoke us and this is hard to forget.
Ralph had, and still does, have a knack of pontificating eloquently and saying nothing.
The CPC seem to risk being drawn into a 'don't rock the boat' philosophy. There should be no doubt at this point at what their critical objectives are.
The Libel and NDP have had enough 'think tank' time now to determine how to mitigate such objectives. The 'new' opinion polls are being trotted out which not surprisingly tell us that the CPC does not have majority agreement on their direction. PMSH had better jump all over this now. If the CPC panders to public opinion which is drawn from 'iffy' sources in the first place, they do risk losing support from their core supporters.
- The opposition force an election, only to make the CPC bulletproof.
- The Bloc NDP takes out the official separatists, only to become the de facto separatists.
- The Bloc NDP will be led by Happy "Ending" Jack and one of the most inexperienced Official Oppositions in the democratic world.
- The Liberals No. 1, Bob Rae, is a known egomaniac that could give a damn about anything not related to Bob Rae, including the Liberal Party and, according to Wikileaks, Bob Ignatieff.
- The Liberals No. 2, Ralph Goodale, has expressed his most pressing concern for the country - his office space.
Meanwhile, the adults are quietly planning to pass their agenda. Not a bad month IMHO.
I'm a tad surprised Don Goodale was treated like this by the new Capos. After all he's the oldest hooker on the stroll and he knows where a heap of used red condoms are buried.
What's left of the Librano family best keep him happy or he may decide to sing. ;-)
Shouldn't his office now be moved to the basement?
Or like I saw in a movie once (honestly don't remember which one) where the bad guys office got moved into the mens room.
According to the latest Wikileaks documents Ralph and the rest of the Liberals will have more to worry about than office space. It must be of great comfort for the Liberal grass roots to find out that the Liberal leaders and backroom boys while denouncing the Americans at every turn for the last forty years have been making clandestine trips to Washington to receive instructions from and report to the Washington Democrats. Must really suck to know you've been had ever since the Americans assisted PET into office.

Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

send someone traffic,
you send someone TRAFFIC.

I was debating sending Ralfie a bit of cheese to go with his whine but decided the cheese would better serve as bait for a mouse trap.

Fooled me totally.
I was pretty sure it was gonna be about Ralph demanding Winnipeg Jets season tickets for his long service as an employee of the CWB.
The Honourable Ralph Goodale should consider himself lucky; he was only 1500 votes from not having an office at all.

Thia has been a May to remember for the CPC:
- The opposition force an election, only to make the CPC bulletproof.

I have a phone booth I could rent to Ralphie.

Ken: "Ralph had, and still does, have a knack of pontificating eloquently and saying nothing."
Not to mention his oft-practised selfrighteous indignation. He needs some humbling:)
Ralph lost his office because he is a pompous, arrogant twit.
Dion kept his because he is no longer pompous or arrogant.

Ralph Goodale's in the third party isn't he? He's not a very tall man, I imagine that'll affect him in some manner too.

If only the voters of Wascana center had the intelligence to see this pitiful excuse for a man ... Goodale ... in the light of reality.
It's been my observation for years that Goodale is representative of everything that is wrong with liberals.... and has been for the last 50 years.
Deus Ex machina, deaus ex Office maggot.
Ralph's numbers have been dropping in the past couple of elections.
By the time 2015 rolls around he'll be 66 years old.
My guess is he'll step down like a month before the writ is dropped.
Then Regina-Wascana will swing blue and stay that way for ages.
