There's intelligent and then there's smart/clever.

Obama can deliver empty words better than anybody.

Nobody can question his oratorical skills.

Trouble is, he's of the same Bob Rae/Ontario premier ilk that believes it's the state's role to spend its way into prosperity.

Yes - empty words; that's all there is to Obama.

It's hard for the American people to realize, to accept that they were taken in by a con-man, Obama.

And Obama is not being a president; he's campaigning for his next election. That's all he's capable of doing: campaigning...i.e., nothing but empty rhetoric, amorphous meaningless images of 'the future'. His agenda is simple: adulation of the masses. That's what he wants.

He's disinterested in America, in Americans, in the well-being of anyone. Other than: Himself.

Of course corporate jet subsidies are just one minuscule spoonful of pork in an ocean of right wing supported tax giveaways for special interest trough feeding swine... like preferential treatment of capital gains and "investment" income, or welfare bum farm subsidies for freeloaders like the Michele Bachmann family....
To put in a local context... kicking Saskatchewan rural conservative welfare bums off of the public gravy train would mean a $2 thousand dollar tax break for every family of four in this province... this year and every year until your christian gawd makes his belated return.

1. How can Obama praise NY for using the legislative approach to gay marriage and at the same time say the DOMA is unconstitutional? He is basically saying that if NY hadn't passed the law they would be doing something unconstitutional by prohibiting gay marriage. In what way is passing laws that simply confirm the constitution lauditory? This is a circular argument. If prohibiting gay marriage is unconstitutional, there is no need to pass a law to allow gay marriage.

2. Phil, the deduction for corporate jets was proposed by Obama as part of his stimulus package and voted in by a Democratic house and senate. If Obama states that the corporate jet deduction is now an unfair burden on the taxpayers, why wasn't it in the first place and why isn't the rest of his stimulus now unnecessary?

There wasn't a single thing in Obama's press conference that wasn't a direct contradiction of something that Obama has said at some time in the past.
