Speaking of CBS, Katie Couric's unemployed now. And forget that front porch in Alaska. Sarah Palin can see revenge from her rear window.
Speaking of CBS, Katie Couric's unemployed now. And forget that front porch in Alaska. Sarah Palin can see revenge from her rear window.
She doesn't owe the lame stream media anything, and it is rather funny now to watch. They will probably just make things up.
The vitriol thrown out by the MSM in the States thrown out towards Palin is so similar to that thrown towards our PM by the Canadian MSM.
And the average taxpaying, hard working stiff just keeps ignoring it... Awesome!!
Palin is running the media. Good for her.
Did she take journalism in college?
She knows exactly whereof she is doing and nobody else.
A democrat doing the same thing would be viewed as "gutsy". No?
Good for Sarah sticking it to MSM jackals. Greta is doing an excellent job of reporting.
On the same vein, I hope PM Harper treats the MSM here with the disdain most of it deserves. I am sure PM Harper knows which of our press has been trying bitter toward him. I am think of Jeffrey Simpson, Heather Malice et al.
Lev:
In fact, she did take journalism in college.
It was a rethorical....
In any event, that's why she know how to yank their chains.:)
Palin should head up to Alaska, get in a helicopter and fly away, leaving the reporters waiting for the bus to start up again.
In the meantime, get in another bus back in Florida and start up the tour again. By the time the media figured it out, they'll have had to pull in all their backup teams from the middle east.
What's most amazing to me is where that piece appeared: In the L.A. Times! This is the same newspaper that deliberately held back some incriminating audio evidence against John Kerry because they didn't want "their guy" to lose.
I wonder if Andrew Malcolm is a token conservative or if the newspaper is trying not to instantly shut out 50%+ of its possible readers?
Hey Rob, Andrew Malcolm was Laura Bush's PR flak, that might have a lot to do with it.
On another note; get em Sarah.
Not exactly off-topic, but tangential:
Where is that mountain depicted on the side of her bus?
Inquiring minds. . .
Great comments at the LA Times. Palin is responsible for the Gabby Giffords shooting, she's like Lindsay Lohan or something (I know the parallels are obvious to me), she's a greedy, caluclating mastermind and yet somehow she is also sooooooooooo stooooopid!!!!
Hate-filled and witless. When we do the Lex Luthor thing and trigger the San Andreas fault, creating prime Nevada waterfront real estate/nuke California from orbit/give it to Mexico and seal the border with Oregon, the L.A. Times will be one of the many reasons to rejoice. Hasta La Vista, but not really.
There's an idiot in the comments, DonnaH, blaming Palin for the Giffords' shooting. Is that ever unexpected.
I view her and her team's activities on this tour an excellent implementation of Alinsky's Rule 7 -- Tactics.
Hey Imetthisguy, Palin lives in Wasilla, Alaska, which is in the Mat-Su Valley, which has mountains around it. With me so far? In Alaska they grow their mountains BIG. What can Sarah see from her house? Maybe THESE FREAKING MOUNTAINS, and not, what some people think, Russia.
And yet this doesn't change the fact that kouric crushed her without even trying in that interview. Sarah Palin is an idiot savant: idiot at governing and philosophy, brilliant at manipulation of the media and her quasi-cult represented on these boards.
Yeah right Libtardsarefarters. I really want her to run and win just to see heads 'splodin'.
Palin in regards to the Dream Act and immigration with local reporters.

Katie Couric was unemployed when she WAS receiving a paycheck.
That ain't workin', that's the way you do it, get your money for nothin' and your digs for free. Don't have to use no microwave ovens, custom kitchens for illegal nannies. We've got our wine refrigerators, we've got our jobs on Empty Vs.
I shoulda learned to play the cameras
I shoulda learned to play them mics
Look at that mama, she's gettin sticken by the camera man
Man, we don't want that
And he's up there, what's that? Librul noises.
Spewing all their buzzwords like a bleeting sheep.
Oh that aint workin', that's the way you do it.
Get your money for nothin and your digs for free.
The little bimbo with the earrings and the makeup
Yeah buddy, that not her own hair
The little bimbo flies Obama's jet airplane
The little twit divorced a millionaire.
I want my, I want my, I want my Empty V.
Sarah said you can see Russia from some islands in Alaska.
Tina Fey said 'Can see Russia from my house'.
Tina Fey is an idiot.
The Lamestream Media ran with it and implicated Palin saying 'from her house'.
Therefore, the Lamestream Media is the bigger idiot here because they dumbdown the news. They also dumb down their readers - bigmike being an example, heh.
Check those comments again, isn't Kathy Gifford that unfunny redhead?
" If someone gets hurt, guess who's going to deny she's responsible for any of it and cast aspersions on anyone who tries to say she is--just as she did when Kathy Gifford was shot.
Rob,no no,Kathy Gifford is the hot woman that had the TV show with an old guy,"Reggie and Kathy live". She left and died in her recording career.
Kathy Griffin is the unfunny redhead.
The brutish media are now left to follow, jockeying to be the first in line behind the bus. Anyone smile over the irony that these journolister clods are now both metaphorical and literal tailgaters?
The Diogene Islands are 2.4 mi apart. One belongs to Russia, the other to the US. Sarah is correct. End of discussion. Lets talk about Obama and the 57 states. This is the president and he doesn't know how many states he presides over. He must have been including states of confusion, panic, inertia, euphoria, etc.
I just hope she's sincere. I buy into the ideal that she says she represents, and I don't see very many alternatives who would be better.
The problem is, some politically savvy people are really just looking for ways of meeting their own power needs, and we've seen this before in conservative politics, where somebody says all the right things, then when they have the chance to enact them, they get cold feet and start to govern like centrists. Perhaps that's because they always were centrists but figured our side to be the necessary suckers to get to the target.
People want to believe in Sarah Palin, so she is setting up enormous expectations. She will fall a long, long way if she fails to deliver on them if elected.
Yes, RGB is correct. Obama said 57 states, and Sarah Palin is the idiot. This is how they roll in the Media Party of America.
RGB - Obamalama's state of mind as well.
Libertariansaresmarter (sic) writes, “Sarah Palin is an idiot savant: idiot at governing . . .”
From the Wall Street Journal, September, 2008:
By JIM CARLTON
“When a hockey mom named Sarah Palin ran for governor as a Republican outsider in 2006, she took on not only a sitting governor from her own party but also Alaska's Republican establishment -- vowing to clean up a political system that had been rocked by an Federal Bureau of Investigation corruption probe.
“After handily winning, her popularity in Alaska soared as she went on to sack political appointees with close ties to industry lobbyists and shelved pork projects. Gov. Palin has shown similar fearlessness in going after Big Oil, whose money has long dominated the state. She appears, for example, to have forced Alaska's dominant oil producers, ConocoPhillips and BP PLC, to finally get serious about a natural-gas pipeline -- without making any tax or royalty concessions. . . .”
Stupid, eh? (And she's not even a lefty!)
About Sarah Palin, Peter O’Donnell writes, “The problem is, some politically savvy people are really just looking for ways of meeting their own power needs, and we've seen this before in conservative politics, where somebody says all the right things, then when they have the chance to enact them, they get cold feet and start to govern like centrists. Perhaps that's because they always were centrists but figured our side to be the necessary suckers to get to the target.”
Peter, whatever else Sarah Palin is—maybe not the best candidate for POTUS, but who knows?—she is NOT a centrist and will not—nor did she in Alaska—govern as one.
Sarah is Sarah, and is, for better or worse, in a class by herself.
Thank-you for the clarification re: I can see Russia comments, ron in kelowna.
Sarah is a highly intelligent individual and, like most of that ilk, she assumes that most people already know at least half the things that she considers self evident. It is shocking that some Americans and even more shocking that some Canadians, do not know the geographical proximity of Northern North America to eastern Russia. Russia owned Alaska until 1867. The Aleutian Islands are divided between Russia and Alaska and two of the Aleutian Islands are and always have been no man's land. The threat is, and was, always real after 1867.
Great comment lookout.
The Alaskan citizens benefit from the sale of their resources: over two thousand $$ were sent to every Alaskan citizen last year; the three digit no. courtesy of Governor Palin who sent the big shots (oil blokes and gument people), who had been taking most of the $$ for themselves, to the jailhouse or kicked them out in the street!
She chose sides; some Governor eh!
Re Palin's meeting with Donald Trump: I like this about Sarah Palin, by a commenter called b-ver at National Review:
"Palin is not stupid. She knows exactly what kind of person Trump is.
"I think Palin likes to be unconventional for the sake of being unconventional. She went the conventional route as McCain's vice-presidential nominee and was savaged by the Democrats, their media lap dogs AND the GOP elite who hung on McCain's apron strings. She has come to see these groups as really birds of a feather and given the way they treated her she has an affinity for pretty much anyone who has different plumage. It messes with the minds of these entitled elitists and gives them conniption fits.
"There's also her appreciation for the raw - and yes, carnival - of Americana. I think she loves America the way Carl Sandburg loved Chicago. Rough, ready, as vital as a punch in the jaw.
"[Like me] As for whether she'd be a *good* president, I don't know. The only valid question is whether she'd be better than Obama. Cosmo would be better than Obama."
" Age can not wither her, nor custom stale her infinite variety " , and that realization is just the latest irritant this bus tour adds to the misery of journolisters in the age of Palin. And unlike poison ivy, she doesn't look to be going away at the end of this summer.
Her effrontery in daring to ignore them pushes their buttons in so many ways that all they can do is express the inchoate outrage of the bratty child who's been told it's time for bed.
Sarah may eschew revenge ... but those of us who have the capicity to understand ... know that "Living well is the best revenge."
And so I will enjoy yet another large helping of schadenfreude.
Along the same lines of " I can see Russia",the story that she said Africa was a country was a fabrication.
But,the media ran with it anyways.
Whatever Katie Couric's employment status, Sarah Palin is, always has been, and always will be a deep as a birdbath ignoramus. I suppose that is why she holds such appeal to the small dead, tea bagging mind.
Oh, BTW, run, Sarah, run.
The trolls follow this thread and the popular press follows Palin.
Aaaahhh, that's good schadenfreude....
Would the idiot (a psychological term as opposed to an insult) at June 1, 2011 10:26 PM explain his conclusions?
Statement: "Don't ignore me, because I might hurt myself."
Because covering a bus going through the US is much more dangerous than say, not covering yet another golf game.
How do you spell "DANGER PAY"?
The trolls follow this thread and the popular press follows Palin
Can you come up with a better way to find out what the yahoos are thinking?
"She appears, for example, to have forced Alaska's dominant oil producers, ConocoPhillips and BP PLC, to finally get serious about a natural-gas pipeline -- without making any tax or royalty concessions. . . ."
Forcing companies to build stuff under the guise of an anti-corruption campaign sounds positively Chavez-tastic. So is her record of overseeing what I believe was a 31% increase in state-spending and some bridge to nowhere. Oh but she's good a trolling the media and substance is for elitists so lets get her to run. The worst that could happen is 4 more years of O.W.
She needs a few identical buses as decoys - drive the media crazy ... er, crazier!
libertarianfaker, the less you like her the better she looks to me.
Obama won't win the Dem nomination. Hillary might.
HUR DURR I like to push Liberal buttons more than serious policy HUR DURR.
As much as some sad, little people cannot understand that Sarah Palin is a force to be reckoned with and a game-changer, the more they cannot deal with it.
A vicious cycle, is my point.
Keep typing Phil, we are learning more.
