Interesting Insight into the Situation in Egypt

Marshall Stocker is a most interesting and extremely well spoken American who runs a company called Freedom Economics. He has been living in Egypt but just returned to the U.S. a few days ago. Yesterday he was on Dennis Miller’s radio program and elucidated the audience with a first hand account of what has been happening in Egypt. It’s well worth a listen.

Update: I received a link to the following Facebook group from an Egyptian friend. Some of the photos & videos are quite disturbing but most interesting to see nonetheless.

“An Overview of Egyptian MB’s Stance on US & Jihad; Translation…Its Draft Political Platform
This report presents an overview of the positions of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, as expressed by its general guide, Muhammad Badi’, since his nomination in January 2010, and as set out in its proposed political platform, which was drafted in the era of Badi’s predecessor, Muhammad Mahdi ‘Akef, and was leaked to the media in August 2007. The translations are taken from reports published by MEMRI over recent years.[1]
Badi’: The U.S. Is on the Verge of Collapse
In a Friday sermon in September 2010, Badi’ said that the U.S. was already on the threshold of collapse and would soon fall, like other immoral societies before it: “The Soviet Union fell dramatically, but the factors that will lead to the collapse of the U.S. are much more powerful than those that led to the collapse of the Soviet empire – for a nation that does not champion moral and human values cannot lead humanity, and its wealth will not avail it once Allah has had His say, as happened with [powerful] nations in the past. The U.S. is now experiencing the beginning of its end, and is heading towards its demise…”
In the same sermon, Badi’ said that the Muslims would soon emerge victorious over their enemies, as promised by Allah in the Koran: “Allah said: ‘The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee [Koran 54:45].’ This verse is a promise to the believers that they shall defeat their enemies, and [that the enemies] shall withdraw. The Companions of the Prophet received this Koranic promise in Mecca, when they were weak… and a little more than nine years after the Hijra,

  3. It’s not easy being a journalist
Lisa la flamme should not have any troubles in Egypt since she really isn’t a journalist but a nose body that’s all. And nose-bodies wannabe reporters do sometimes cause more problems than necessary with unnecessary questions which could and can cause more riots.
Lisa has nothing good to say about Canada which she herself purposely neglects to reports as her television media does regularly. So, how can she speak of another country’s deep problems when she can’t handle her very own base without some snide remark.
We are still waiting for Lisa to comment on Canadian Liberal corruption which millions of dollars is still missing. Yet the nerve to report on another country’s problems.
Come back Lisa and help the liberals find our lost money.

  4. The good news, I guess, is that Anderson Cooper is getting punched by all those females that ET is seeing in the crowds … 10 punches by guys and he couldn’t have “continued to file reports”.

  5. Cooper should have said to the mob that he’s a gay left-wing American journalist, that would have stopped them.

  6. Come on now SDA, don’t let the cat out of the bag yet!
Let’s let the “expert” loudmouths give themselves some more rope for awhile.
I’ve copied some of the SDA Egypt comments in the last couple of days to throw it in some faces in a few months time. The more the better.

  7. Oh my, some journalists have been beaten or arrested,or their gear confiscated. The tunnel visioned narcissism kicks in and now we will hear nothing news worthy.

  8. @Rose: please name a single example of the western media shilling for the MB. And so what if Soros is ‘connected’? He’s a political billionaire like hte Kochs but with bad philosophy.

  9. A good article from Michael Totten’s blog: Sandmonkey’s Last Post
Sandmonkey is rumored to have been arrested by the authorities and also rumored to have escaped. All I know for sure is that his blog has been taken offline by the government.
