That fellow Putin has talent, in more ways than one. However, I may be biased, but I think PM Harper is a better singer.
Every time we visit Russia it seems that the standard of living for the average person is improving in many ways. The jury is still out though on where their democracy is heading. Except for a few months in 1917, Russians have never experienced liberal democracy, such as it is there, until the last two decades.
The eight centuries old system of paying bureaucrats and other service providers under the table for services is still common currency.
