Earlier today Roy Green held a round table discussion on his radio show about Muslims & Islam in North America. The four guests were:
- Dr. Zuhdi Jasser – American Islamic Forum for Democracy
- Tarek Fatah – Canadian Muslim Congress
- Naseem Mahdi – Amadiyyah Movement in Islam (U.S.)
- Ahmed Rehab – CAIR Chicago

It seems very clear to me that there is great division within the Muslim community in North America and this discussion exemplified that. I’ve heard Zuhdi Jasser countless times on both Roy Green and Dennis Miller’s programs. I think he’s a rock solid conservative and is trying to reform Muslims in America, not altogether different than Bill Cosby has tried to do within the African American community. Tarek Fatah, though he seemed off his rocker (read “beyond illogical”) about Sarah Palin this past week, was nevertheless very much echoing what Jasser was saying in this discussion.
I’m not very familiar with Naseem Mahdi but Ahmed Rehab sounded like a nasty piece of work, which is par for the course with any past interviews I’ve seen with CAIR representatives. Here’s some background info on Rehab and here’s an interview he had with Laura Ingraham about 6 months ago. He excels at first insulting anyone he disagrees with rather than discussing the topic at hand. In other words, he’s just a typical Leftist.

How many extremist Muslims does it take to control a country?
Is everyone in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Iran an extremist? The obvious answer is no, yet look at the results.
How many extremist/ Muslims live in Malaysia but cause terror on the Thailand border with the Buddhist Tai’s? Or live in India outnumbered by a billion Hindu Indians, yet still light off nearly 100 bombs in railway stations, bus stops and markets annually (bet you didn’t know that).
There are some major violent Islamic problems in China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Philippines, along with many countries to numerous to list i.e. Africa.
More sporadic examples in the west, are France, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, Italy where if “white” women are not being gang raped, cars and property are torched on irregular basis, while at times whole streets and parliaments are routinely closed by so called non violent Islamists.
When will Canada and the US wake up to this avoidable wake of terror coming to our streets? It’s coming, there’s no reason it wouldn’t.
I challenge any lefty troll to explain on SDA how we will continue to bring in more Muslims and avoid what the rest of the world has not been able to!
Roy Green rather than have a useless discussion with the likes of those guys would be doing a better thing if he informed his audience of the real dangers of Islam. The real Muslims are the terrorists. They follow the teachings and instructions of the Quran the most closely and accurately. Those Muslims that do not support the terrorists are the fringe Muslims taking advantage of the ill gotten advances gained by the terrorists from the weak and ill informed leaders of the western world and Canada`s political parties are just as remiss in allowing this to happen as the those in Europe. Check and see how they are “blending” in over in England, France, Germany, Holland or any other country over there. You will not find that info generally in Canada`s MSM. If you read the Quran you will see that moderates or moderation is not allowed in Islam. It advocates and instructs what the terrorists do and they do not negotiate anything. They DO NOT BELIEVE IN FREEDOM OF PERSON OR CHOICE OR RELIGION! Islam is a form of totalitarian subjection and dominance with militaristic tendencies that wants to control the world. If you treat them as anything else you are doomed to be their slaves or subjects in the end and right now they are very slowly but surly inserting themselves and Islam on us.
I know that I am not good at explaining myself but thats what you get from me. If I was good at putting my thoughts on paper I would not have been a truck driver all my life. The Muslims and their Islamic philosophy (it is not a religion) are a great threat to us and our way of life. We need to fight back in every way possible.

There’s a pretty good saying: Actions speak louder than words. Prove your sincerity and declare your allegiance to your new western home and start assimilating into its mores and culture, and speaking out against the radical elements of your brethren.
@ Snagglepuss. “speaking out against the radical elements” is the problem. The radical Muslims are the ones that we never hear from. The true Muslims that follow the Quran closely are the terrorists. The peaceful Muslims are NOT FOLLOWING the teachings of Islam. The only peaceful verses in the Quran were abrogated (canceled) by later violent verses. Almost all Muslim LEADERS around the world support and encourage the terrorists.
Up until now, I’ve been very favourably impressed by Tarek Fatah, and I can’t tell you how disallusioned I am by his meltdown on the Michael Coren show. Fortunately, Coren and the other panelists put him in his place but, in his “off the rocker” ravings, he played the race card and suggested that the others couldn’t understand the situation in Arizona because they are white. Appalling.

Tarek Fatah is knowledgeable about his faith and about his co-religionists. He is not a radical and many times took stand against terrorists.
He won’t (as some people want all Muslims to do) say bad things about his prophet or condemn all tenets of his religion because he is a Muslim.
On the other hand he is a liberal and he was leaning towards socialism in his youth, so he has similar views on US, Tea Party and conservatives as the majority of democrats or liberals.
Therefore you may rely on his view regarding his religion and disagree or be skeptical about his view on other matters.
How do you handle Muslim extremists? Do what General Black Jack Pershing did in the Philipinnes just before world war 1.Found that at Jerry Pournelle’s site in mail. It involved the slaughter of 2 pigs, a medium number of bullets, and letting one Muslim extremist go free to tell his friends .VERY VERY EFFECTIVE, it worked for 42 YEARS!
The problem is that we’re only addressing terrorist muslims. But what about the muslims who have the same agenda and ulitmate goal as the terrorists? As long as violence is not used these are considered as “moderates”…
It’s time to speak up against islam, not tip-toeing around them afraid to be offensive. After all leftist have no problems being offensive to christians…
Hasse, have you tried holy water on leftists? I’ve found that if you sprinkle enough of it often enough then people around them call THE AUTHORITIES to rid themselves of the incoherent leftists.
My views are pretty similar to those of Zog & Ella. I have several Muslim friends in Canada & the U.S. They are not terrorist sympathizers. They’re just trying to live their lives like the rest of us.
I’ve long felt that the greatest problem facing us is the Far Leftist doctrine. It has promoted a truly diseased philosophy that “all cultures & all people are equal”. While this Kumbaya Pablum might sound glorious & wonderful on the surface, the repercussions of actually following it are dreadful & ultimately highly destructive. For the immediate side effect of treating everyone equally, no matter what, is that in short order there’s no right or wrong, no good or bad, no responsibility, and therefore no accountability. When the majority of people in a society feel no need to be accountable, society falls into chaos.
THAT is what’s most messed up with our society today, folks. CAIR and their Canadian equivalents know this and uses it to manipulate useful idiots on the Left to the hilt. And Leftists use the weapon of Political Correctness to try to silence everyone else.
Britain is Exhibit ‘A’ of this on steroids. Frankly, I’m convinced they’re already a lost cause. Much of Western Europe isn’t likely far behind.
But I emphasize again that the most destructive force of all is the Far Leftist philosophy, which perversely permits Radical Muslims to operate unimpeded. Fight back against the former and you will squelch the latter. Paint all Muslims as being Radical and you only help the Leftists with their propaganda.

Robert one of my favorite columns of Melanie Phillips was her speech at a conference in Scandinavia where she noted that liberals always want to compromise and believe there is common ground or give and take to reach an understanding. She warned that Islam is not interested in the slightest with compromising, which the liberal mind can not accept as this just can’t be so they continually back up when Islam demands its schools, its sharia law or accuses us of islamophobia.
Because Islam won’t compromise the liberal politician turns on their own citizens as an easier and more compliant target attacking them and forcing them to accommodate Islam. The liberal MSM, educators and other organs are used to pound out this agenda.
Wahhabi Islam and Salafist Islam are not compatable with civilized societies or nations, those two versions of Islam are taking over Moderate Mosques throughout the planet. Where ever one looks the Wahhabists are committing acts of violence, rape and genocide unmolested by the UN. We can’t negotiate with either forms of Islam, we need to label them as cults and deal with them as such. Forty years ago Muslim lived amongst us in peace and harmony and then along came the Saudi’s form of Islam and bam violence and hatred from tha followers abounds in the west and globally.
Both Dave & Rose make excellent points. Which begs the question, “Why is this being allowed to happen?” Dave, through Melanie Phillips, answers the question: the Leftists in government and the media and academia have sold out the rest of the population – not just wrt Radical Islam but a whole host of things.
With respect to Muslims in general, we don’t have to look that far back in history to see parallels. My father’s people, the Germans, and the Japanese were not inherently “bad people” through & through. But they became corrupted through a powerful elite and look at the disaster that transpired.
What’s different nowadays is that so many of OUR OWN ELITES are the corrupt ones. On an individual basis, I’m sure that most of them mean well but that doesn’t matter. Their personal views, effected as public policy, is what’s permitting Radical Islam to flourish. Stop the policy and the cancer is put to rest.
I have to side with Robert W.’s comments, particularly @ 3:52 a.m., without being quite so pessimistic with regard to Britain and Europe.
As I’ve said, and perhaps Robert would agree, the extreme Marxist left is playing the radical Muslims like a violin, in order to advance their own agenda which includes the full list of “political correctness” items (e.g., unreliable justice system, racism offences, disruptive immigration). That’s why they appear so friendly with Muslim extremists — the idea is to cause as much disruption in the west as possible, and if they can paint objectors (i.e., defenders of western civilization) as “racist”, so much the better. The fact that many Muslims do not agree with the Marxists on issues like homosexuality doesn’t matter as long as Islamic radicalism can disrupt us. The leftist philosophy is based on the incoherent irrationalism of the Kant-Hegel cult, so a little (or a lot of) hypocrisy means nothing to them.
