“I’m sorry but I am a pretty left liberal and mein kampf is absolutely not on my reading list, neither do I own guns, or push violence.. I assumed after looking at his favorite books, his love for guns and violence, and his anti government stance that he was a tea partier.”
I’m not rushing to judgment on this guy’s political affiliations, but NO conservative I ever met would include the Communist Manifesto or Mein Kampf on their list of favorite books, even if they have read them repeatedly to “know your enemy.”
I put 1984 and Animal Farm on my favorites list despite Orwell being a pacifist and socialist because they are strong critiques of socialism. And he was also highly critical of certain types of pacifists in his Notes on Nationalism.
If you read the complete list, it includes Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451. It includes The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and Gullivers Travels. This guy is obviously into fantasy utopia and dystopia. The Phantom Tollbooth, also on the list, was one of my favorite books as a kid.
You’ll notice the list does NOT include:
– Fountainhead
– Atlas Shrugged
– Going Rogue (with notes in the margins)
– The Road to Serfdom
or anything else a tea-partier is likely to have read.
Also, although most liberals are pro gun control, it does NOT mean that many leftists aren’t gun-owning militants. They want gun control to disarm the masses, not themselves.
This guy has spent too much time listening to “Silent Lucidity” on his iPod!
“his favorite books are Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf.”
Have you ever noticed how the mentally unstable are drawn toward evil or how many of the truly evil are borderline mentally ill? Having seen the logical conclusion of the Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf and the death and destruction they have wrought upon this earh is there any doubt that they are works of evil?
“Tarek Fatah has now joined the Blame Sarah Palin crowd. Most disappointing and very much beneath him.”
“Posted by: Robert W. (Vancouver) at January 8, 2011 6:26 PM”.
He means the “Tarek Fatah”, the Muslim. He of the Muslim takkiya.
Why is that “most disappointing”? It’s not beneath Fatah.
Beware Fatah.

JL)Hey i have read marxist books and all of that animal farm,so on and so forth i think iti s good to know your enemy and there thought’s so yeah i read that stuff to it is also a good reality check for me
Alex)Yeah, most of those books are far too advanced for the average Tea Party member.
ME)Alex, you are wrong. Most of the Tea Party members are too advanced to read these books. They can be only read – of their own free will and not for the reason of knowing the enemies of the West- by crazy people, liberal “intellectuals” or enemies of the West. Though the latest two are often the same people.
Alex)Yep, you heard it here first, folks: Animal Farm, Alice in Wonderland, and Fahrenheit 451 are only read by “Enemies of The West”.
Alex,something wrong with your memory?
Yeah, it’s true, they’re every bit as evil as the Bible and the Quaran.
Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf are both socialist books, written by socialist theoriticians/politicians.
They are also the only Non-fiction political books on Loughner’s favorites list.
As to the incoherent ramblings in Loughner’s videos, they aren’t far removed from what I’ve heard from Obama when he doesn’t have a teleprompter.
Alvin Greene comes to mind too.
Loughner is crazy, sure.
But crazy is very comfortable and common on the Left-(Whoopie Goldberg and her “rape-rape”, Jean Chretien and his “proof is a proof”, John Kerry and his “Winter Soldier”, Nancy Pelosi “al-Qaeda isn’t in Iraq”)- and it shows up in Leftist quotes, speeches, and books all the time.
Jared has serious mental issues: he being fixated on “currency issues” and the miserable status of the USA. May God (forgive him and) heal those persons wounded or injured and give comfort to those who have expired -and their families. Isn’t it sad that the congresswoman read the first amendment recently – in an effort to try to work with both sides. Who could have thought this could happen…a young gal. What is more disturbing is the extreme left wing comments on various blogs. May God Bless her.
The fellow is a nut, simply a nut. All the naval gazing of his motives, what he reads, what he listens to etc may contribute to his lunacy, but bottom line by his rants above he looks like a nut. Trying to tie this horrible act to any talk show host or political movement is detestable by those doing it.
The videos show features of a mind suffering from schizophrenia — paranoia, delusions of grandeur, flight of ideas, ideas of reference, loose associations. In short, whoever made the videos is probably mentally ill — nothing to do with political affiliation one way or the other. Although I’m sure idiot members of the MSM will try to invent an affiliation — anything to serve the pre-ordained narrative. They’re idiots without the excuse of a neurochemical imbalance.
I wonder if that scott reid guy of ‘kill him dead’ or any of the LPoC photoshoppers were face book friends.I wonder if now they even realize what repercussions their own personal lunacys can cause.
DrD:
Although long-distant diagnoses are always questionable, Jared’s writings do indeed reek of schizophrenia.

He looks like just about any douche you see at any run of the mill protest or Dead Maus concert.
This is a circus. Good Morning America just called me. it’s loughner just checked my year book. I haven’t seen him since ’07. Then, he was left wing. more left. I haven’t seen him since ’07 though. He became very reclusive. he had a lot of friends until he got alcohol poisoning in ’06, & dropped out of school. Mainly loner very philosophical. As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal. & oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy. he was a pot head & into rock like Hendrix,The Doors, Anti-Flag. I haven’t seen him in person since ’07 in a sign language class He was a political radical & met Giffords once before in ’07, asked her a question & he told me she was “stupid & unintelligent”

Catie Parker after trying to dump the shooting on Sarah Palin’s doorstep earlier in the day.
Yeah, Loughner is crazy.
The MSM is working mighty hard to hang this around the neck of the Tea party and conservatives.
Pushing back by saying Loughner is crazy isn’t good enough.
It needs to be pointed out that before he started barking at the moon and pulling triggers that he was one of theirs.

Very Believable.
One post from AoSHQ was about wish-casting by the left.
“I don’t even think it’s spin. Spin is when you know you’re lying. These guys aren’t lying.
They’re wish-casting. They are not telling you any sort of objective reasonable assessment of likelihood; they are just telling you what their shriveled black hearts wish would happen…
They’re not broadcasters, they’re wishcasters. They’re so partisan they can’t even separate this function out from their driving rah-rah impulse. ”
http://minx.cc/?post=305002
He was speaking of a specific situation but it describes the MSM’s general attitude towards Palin and the Tea Party. The media so badly wants to link them to something, anything evil that journalists end up looking like fools by linking Palin and the Tea Party to everything.
Anyone with a Facebook account should see how Tarek Fatah is on a hate-filled rampage against Sarah Palin … even as the evidence is mounting that the alleged shooter was diametrically opposed to her politically.
Just a quick comment on the reading list thing. No it did not include Atlas Shrugged or The Fountainhead, but it did include We The Living, which is also by Ayn Rand.
I think the guy was a delusional nutcase.
Snapperhead, I don’t agree with everything you said, but I do agree with your last paragraph. It was very well stated.
Looks like poor little Catie Parker’s going to get her 15 minutes of fame for blowing the Beck/Palin theory out of the water. Some important people are going to be really p1ssed with her.
Friends, get your kids off Facebook.
The media so badly wants to link them to something, anything evil that journalists end up looking like fools by linking Palin and the Tea Party to everything.
They only look like fools if the truth becomes well known and the MSM are the gatekeepers deciding what information becomes widely disseminated.
“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”
~Winston Churchill
The guy seems schizophrenic to me. I don’t think he even understands the concepts he’s putting together. Reminds me of a man I know who does the same thing but his focus is religion. Just rambles on like he’s an expert when none of of it makes any sense.
Even if Jared was liberal 3 years ago when Catie Parker knew him doesn’t mean that he still is. Based off of his videos and choice of books I doubt he’s conservative or tea party. One thing to remember though is that there are liberal minded people in the tea party.
So Paul Krugman uses this opportunity to slag conservatives and tea partiers in a NY Times column entitled “The Conscience of a Liberal”.
Is this irony? Or just farce?
True, Oz, but Winston didn’t live in the internet age. In today’s information age, wild speculation (aka.lies) from the MSM are countered so quickly that it is the media that is left exposed – with their pants around their ankles and their pitifully small junk hanging out for all the (blog) world to see.
rabbit,
And Krugman doesnt have the cohones to leave the comments field open, claiming the “crazies are coming out”……
really how can you top that.
Anyone else notice that despite overwhelming evidence that the perpetrator hives closely to the progressive mindset the Conservatives do not attribute political motives when mental illness is evident. However the progressives continue to attribute Conservative motivation against all contrary evidence including mental illness.
Was this leftist* a nutcase?
He* was extolled, magnified, and lauded by the Eggheads and the MSM and others.
Here are a few of his* words:
*”Marx & Friends in their own words
“Let them shoot on the spot every tenth man guilty of idleness.” – V. I. Lenin* … “Merciless war against these kulaks! Death to them!” – V. I. Lenin* …”

“Never let a crisis go to waste”
Joe, you’re spot on! Now that things have settled down a little, I got to thinking about my own thoughts over news of violent acts in the past few years. Not once did I ever think to blame a politician for the actions of a lone nutcase. But our “friends” on the Left, so consumed with hate towards those who disagree with them, always blame conservatives for such actions … and are almost always wrong. Do apologies come forthwith? Never.
The actions of Tarek Fatah today are especially surprising to me. I was starting to have a fond liking to him as a moderate voice. Today though he was anything but moderate.
Even the Sheriff who is at this moment answering questions of reporters in Tuscon, has twice already alluded to the radio and ‘some’ TV mouthpieces are to blame.
He means Rush, Beck, Hannity etc. They think like children … evil children.
I browsed about some blogs and based on the comments I am sure Sarah Palin will be arrested very soon.
I just read that post and didn’t meant to confuse.
I mean the Left thinks like evil children.
Yes, lefties are often known to be driven to gun violence against politicians supporting those arch-conservative policies like immigration and public health care.
You losers are so deluded and easily led. You talk about a Facebook page that was apparently just activated, but rely on a freaking Twitter post as if it’s gospel truth. The stupid here, it still burns.
If Sarah Palin and the Tea Party are being blamed for this, can we blame John Hinkley Jr on Jimmy Carter and the Democrats?
More background on Jared L.including:
On Dec. 13, he wrote: “I don’t feel good: I’m ready to kill a police officer! I can say it.”
In October 2007, Loughner was cited by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department for possession of drug paraphernalia, a charge that was dismissed in November 2007 when he completed a diversion program.
One year later, in October 2008, Loughner was charged with a “local charge” in Marana Municipal Court, that charge was also dismissed following the completion of a diversion program in March 2009.

Clearly this kid had mental health problems. To tie this tragedy to the ‘Tea Party’ or Sarah Palin or the military (he was refused admission)is beyond ridiculous.
I was taking a nap and then heard the voice on the television. I saw that it was the CBC anchor, a lady with a bright yellow dress. Next a male voice dealing with the tragedy. “The US has a gun culture” the voice intoned. “When Obama was elected, there was an upsurge in people buying guns”. (or very near that).
I half shouted the word “charlatan” and got a reproving look. Next, the voice tap toed and danced around, disclaiming that what this meant was not to mean any particular group. It was in my mind that this must be a Democrat Party faithful.
The the bright voice of said lady, thanked “our Washington correspondent”. Neil McDonald in Washington was he. Our tax dollars at
work.
Ergo Time magazine is beyond ridiculous

At Power Line: January 8, 2011 Posted by John at 6:16 PM (In quotation marks, Krugman’s words.)
______________
No surprise here: hack columnist Paul Krugman is among the first to seek political advantage from mass murder:
“We don’t have proof yet that this was political, but the odds are that it was.”
Really? Based on what?
“She’s been the target of violence before. And for those wondering why a Blue Dog Democrat, the kind Republicans might be able to work with, might be a target, the answer is that she’s a Democrat who survived what was otherwise a GOP sweep in Arizona, precisely because the Republicans nominated a Tea Party activist. (Her father says that ‘the whole Tea Party’ was her enemy.) And yes, she was on Sarah Palin’s infamous ‘crosshairs’ list.”
Of course, there is zero evidence that any of this had anything to do with Jared Loughner, who had no known connection to the Tea Party, the Republican Party, Sarah Palin, the Democratic Party, or anything else related to sane politics. It goes without saying that none of the purported villains on Krugman’s list have ever suggested that Congresswoman Giffords, or anyone else, should be shot.
“Just yesterday, Ezra Klein remarked that opposition to health reform was getting scary. Actually, it’s been scary for quite a while, in a way that already reminded many of us of the climate that preceded the Oklahoma City bombing.
“You know that Republicans will yell about the evils of partisanship whenever anyone tries to make a connection between the rhetoric of Beck, Limbaugh, etc. and the violence I fear we’re going to see in the months and years ahead. But violent acts are what happen when you create a climate of hate. And it’s long past time for the GOP’s leaders to take a stand against the hate-mongers.”
This would be outrageous even if Krugman himself were not one of the worst hatemongers in public life, a man whose hysterical rhetoric exceeds anything you hear from Limbaugh, Beck, or any significant figure on the right who comes to mind. But this sort of contemptible demagoguery is exactly the kind of thing we have come to expect from Krugman.
Clarence Dupnik, the Pima County Sheriff lefty who refused to enforce AZ’s immigration law ( which, by his oath, was duty-bound to enforce ), has now, in a news conference declared Loughner as ” unstable ” but not insane. Who knew Sheriff Dupnik was a clinical psychiatrist? That neatly dovetails with his follow on: “…people who are unbalanced are especially susceptible to vitriol…”
What ” vitriol ” is he talking about? Dupnik further explains: “…the vitriolic rhetoric that we hear from people in the radio business and from some of those in the TV business…this is not the nice United States that we grew up with.”
Lastly, Dupnik proposed a ” grassy knoll ” theory as well: that there was an accomplice.
Sheriff Dupnik shows a sleazy zeal in making wild accusations and slanders against conservatives but has refused to enforce a law he took an oath to uphold. Expect to see a lot of him in the weeks to come.
(Peter, do yourself a favour: stop watching CBC TV. Cheers.)
Liberal spouse (bless her) has the remote.
In any case, someone has to watch ’em.
Peter, my wife was watching the same CBC garbage in her wood shop and told me about it when she came in. No satellite feed to her shop. But she knows what to expect from CBC.
What concerns me is those poor people who have no access to anything but CBC or CTV.
Pssst, I feel proud of myself today in that I did not succumb to trying to debate the mini Lenins that were trolling on the threads about this shooting.
A liberal, no matter how utterly insane he is, will not be seen in daylight for fear it may exonerate those whom the leftist media hates.
Anyone seen Obama address the nation about the shootings?
How can he be so detached???
Maybe not as completely detached as when he addressed the nation about the gulf oil spill – two months to late – but almost as detached.
Sounding like a robot than a human.
I miss Dubya Bush.
Not too many of the rich and famous are referring their vitriol of taking aim from this side
“Not all of these people will get or even deserve primaries, but this vote certainly puts a bulls eye on their district.”
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/25/1204/74882/511/541568
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was one target of many.
So…is this the match that starts the Reichstag fire?
One wonders.
So, it looks like he was wrong, eh Jay?
“Mental illness has no political affiliation.”
Oh I completely disagree. Mental illness is rampant on the left. It looks to me like this guy leaned left too.
I usually don’t post in anger;
But;
The Oblameya administrations theme of,
Never Let A Good Crisis Go To Waste, Is haunting me right now.
Napolitano’s war on vets comes to mind.
The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in “rightwing extremist activity,” saying the economic recession, the election of America’s first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/apr/14/federal-agency-warns-of-radicals-on-right/
If the truth is going to get spun out of this story it’s going to happen fast. It’s my sincere wish that doesn’t happen, but its started;
DailyKos’ “Gabrielle Giffords is Dead to Me” Post Down the Memory Hole over at Ace of Spades.
Like others here my prayers and condolences go out to the victims in Tuscon.
But with Oblameya in charge they go out to America.
This wasn’t the Kennedy assassination. But if the left can make it Sarah’s , they will.
I just feel sick waiting for this to unfold. It’s not going to be a political war in America. It’s going to be cultural.
I miss Dubya
Heh. Yeah, he was wrong. The Tea Party LOVES Gifford. They would all have voted for her, if it wasn’t for this unfortunate incident.
Dude, all you guys saying that this is in no way Sarah Palin or the Tea Parties fault are idiots! Talking about Palin like she is some “poor, defenseless, victim.” The mainstream media has no pre-meditated agenda (except Fox) and they are all professionals, you guys are probably just right wing nuts spending all day in front of a computer to fill the internet with your conservative garbage, diatrabes, and talking points. Especially you Oz! What kind of stupid internet name is that?
Well, Ed just convinced me.
