For My Dear Friends At Progressive Bloggers

When you've lost both Newsweek and Chris Matthews in the same week, is there anything left to live for... really?

Two more years of golfing, mythbusters appearances, and vacationing on the Spanish riviera don't seem so bad to me. Well...except for the mythbusters part.

I sense a lack of tingle there?

..... maybe it isn't , but we ought to sell it that way ay least .

Whoa . Useful idiot 2.0 .

File Mathews revelation under "No sh!t Sherlock!"

That banner on the bottom of the screenshot says .... 50% of Teaparty wants return to constitution.

Whose statistics are those?

Who was that deflated disillusioned guy with the bad hairdo? Could that be the same guy who just a few years ago was just delusional?

I think Matthews just got tired of being on these peoples' side.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_23Nt5XumaU&feature=player_embedded#!

Like all libs he jumped before he looked.

So Matthews is finding that rancid crow on his plate difficult to swallow.

See if Kerry can supply ya with ketchup to go with that, you mindless hack.

Yes, but will a mainstream network have Rush on on election night as a commentator?

Anyway Rush today said that the cover story will not work as a distraction - his eyes are focused on the ball and will only talk about the election to come and future steps to take.

@ Bill

Not a useful idiot, just a shill. I like how he acknowledges the dubiousness of his own argument though.

So, the thrill is gone from Mathews' leg? Poor baby.

Obama's DOJ is sending poll watchers to Arizona to make sure illegals get to vote in peace. I kid you not.

Hahahahahahaha

So he's telling us the tingle he felt was really just a leak?

He was so easily confused . . .

Obama's DOJ poll watchers could be having baloney sandwiches for diner...wearing pink gotchies...tomorrow night.....
This Arizona thing causes me genuine concern....the War Of Northern Aggression didn't start with a bunch of extremists----it started when STATES defied Washington.
John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry didn't do it---he was arrested tried and strung up---done.
When Federal troops and State militia had a mexican stand-off----Ghandi......
If the Dems managed to hold on the election results could be dealt with by other means....the Dems reaction to a Republican Tsunami could have the same result except only muscle the Dems can muster are union goons and funny boys....
Somehow I cannot envision the Dems going quietly into the good night....

Ahhhhh, po, po, Mr Tingles........did you lose your Pom-poms?

Andrea Mitchell hasn't lost her pom-poms though, she's a deaf dumb and blind disciple of the Obamabots....(sorry for insulting the 'dumb, deaf and blind' who don't have a choice)...

Is it just me, or does Obama look like a total madman in that last segment? How come far too few Americans saw it?

He looks like a raging lunatic out of a B-horror flick. I could see the lurch just around the corner.

He may be looking a little spooked tomorrow at this time. I sure hope so. (Who's Matthews going to vote for, poor baby?)

Somewhere on this site a while ago (eighteen months maybe) I predicted that Matthews would break ranks with the obamanazis. Having watched him for years prior to Obama and seeing him act as you would expect a Moynihan democrat - with a partisan balance in his opinions and questions (Moynihan served in the Nixon administration) i was taken aback by his hardcore overt support for Obama. I think it was caused by a swooning for the idea of electing a black potus and political mid-life crisis that saw him trying to catch some of the idealism and youthful innocence he and a lot of others of his class and generation once had. But like a fifty-plus lothario who has scored the young trophy wife and has the alimony bills to show for it, now after two years of aimless empty prattling, he has grown tired of f-ing her.

Those progressive bloggers are delusional.

'Rush ..right all the time'..love it!

Aww. Poor, poor jilted Chris Mathews.

Must be awful.

Tomorrow could be so bad for the Dems that if Obama does not do a Clinton of sorts and try to appease and reclaim some of the independent voters by moving at least towards the centre, the DNC might just decide Barry must go even before the end of his term...The Democrat brand is going to be kicked hard, even harder than Canada's Liberals after the sponsorship scandal and they (Libs) are getting no traction still. An article came out last week stating that the Dem brass are currently whispering 'Kill the King'...

I predicted here at SDA a few months after Obama became Prez that he would not even finish 1 term...The odds are now 60-40 that he does not finish, IMO.

I saw an app to-day for instructions on how to deal with voter fraud. It was for poll watchers instructing what is out of the ordinary and how to report it. Apparently the Dems have said a poll watcher watching someone assist in helping someone vote is intimidation. It is to ensure the poll worker votes as the voter wishes and is within the role of the watcher.
Paper ballots and ID would solve a lot of problems. It's not like they really need to know in five hours.

Is he scrounging for an offer from Fox?

We'll be going to the polls here tomorrow, wife votes and I watch.

We don't expect any Black Panthers showing up to provide security either. It would be a very short gig for them.

This is the Voter Fraud App that Speedy was referring to.

I suspect that the Dems are going to cheat widely, and possibly heavily in a few areas like Nevada.

"Is he scrounging for an offer from Fox?"

I know you were probably joking, but I doubt that Mathews is angling to work for Fox; I'm sure he understands by now that his embarrassing piece of work on election night pretty much precludes that. I think it's more that Mathews is, in psychological terms, one of those follower-type people who put their heart - and their tingly legs - behind the next big thing; when the other kids suddenly don't like it, he tries to disavow his own belief in the dreaminess of his former idol. He's the pundit equivalent of a girl who pees her pants at a Beatles concert. I know that sounds like a one-liner, but I'm serious.

Good point about the Black Panthers. In light of the current climate, and Obama's, erm, exposure and depleted stock, they'd be ill-advised to try the same tactic. It's pretty much guaranteed that it's not going to happen.

Meow.

This is no different from our own G&M and Post, and to some degree the CBC, promoting Libs and slagging Conservatives until its just before the bell (particularly when it has become so painfully obvious to everyone else that their guy is a boat anchor - as illustrated by their treatment of Paul Martin 4 years ago)

Mathews still is a true believer, but Obama is no longer providing the correct political theatre to allow the media and Mathews to continue their narrative. That is why he is mad.

Mathews demonstrates this when his mask slips and he says as Bill D Cat notes ..... "maybe it isn't , but we ought to sell it that way at least ." (I bet Mathews wishes he had a teleprompter)

Mathews does not believe the ideology is wrong, just that Obama is no longer hiding it well enough. Couple that with the fact that America is now awake- fully rejecting Obamanomics, and Mathews is now trying to save his "journalistic integrity" so he can say he was a critic.

Sorry Chris, whatever integrity you had,(and it was non existant anyways)left with the tingle that ran down your leg.

Ward..well said...

you are exactly on the truth/money.

"If you're going to spend a 1.6 trillion dollar deficit in one year, you better explain to the American people why you did it... We were all taught in Graduate school you have to run a big deficit during a grand recession. How about explaining that? Everybody didn't go to grad school. How about explaining what you're doing in terms of healthcare and how that's going to help us become a better economy in the long run?... maybe it isn't but he ought to sell it that way at least."

By grad school, I assume he means commie-clown college. It's a little bit too late to bail now, Matthews.

batb @11:14 - no, it's not just you.

President Obama is the "Peter Principle President"
.
We promoted him to his current level of incompetence.

Turns out the tingle up Chris Matthews leg was crabs.

I guess your leg can tingle so much that you don't notice TOTUS.

Ward:

The Post slagging the Conservatives and supporting the Liberals? What newspaper are you reading?!

Mamba beat me too it...

The problem is that too many people "didn't go to grad school".Don't you guys get it?

'if he only explained things more like Obamacare is an investment...'

Uh, that's exactly what he did do and Americans called BS immediately.

Kevin: The one that runs Don Martin, John Ivison, Sheldon Alberts, John Kay, Diane Francis....

You'll wonder where the tingle went
When you've got Obama as president...

(with apologies to an old Pepsodent jingle)

Yea , Ok, but how many Liberals actually graduated from Grad School ?

Obama is the epitome of Affirmative Action.

A man so various, that he seemed to be
Not one, but all mankind's epitome.
Stiff in opinions, always in the wrong;
Was everything by starts, and nothing long:
But in the course of one revolving moon
Was chemist, fiddler, statesman and buffoon.*

*John Dryden (1631–1700), British poet, dramatist, critic.

It seems we are not gona get that Deer In The Headlight look this time around from the Media's Liberal Presstitutes. I reckon with all the bad polls (and even the ones they tried to fix) it pretty much showed a Republican Tide coming. The only thing left they are still spinning is; " It ain't about Obama, the American People sill love him, it's about his Policies."

Where's my fork, butter, salt, pepper, cheese, bacon bits and sour cream, this tator is done.
,

Indy - that, and the fact that what Chrissy was apparently taught in grad school is, um, insane.

BTW, doesn't Matthews look exactly like this Simpson's character:

Ahh, you scooped me, Mamba. Good shot.

As for matthews' "grad school", you'd learn more practical and useful economics with about a month or two reading a couple of Thomas Sowell economic references, and Henry Hazlett. Poof!

And save about $30K in the process.
