  1. Ahhhh…the problem for Lizzy seems to be that the government doesn’t have enough say regarding who purchases the oil.

  2. Her concern for our economic well-being would be touching except for the fact that as a lefty, she needs someone to be financially healthy. Social engineering doesn’t come cheap, you know.
I also like the way she was trying to make it sound like there are absolutely no environmental rules and regs in place.

  3. Well, that’s a first. I think Ezra was so polite to Liz that he let her win this debate. I mean the big Greenie actually got out “we need a national energy program” with not a peep from the two Albertans.
Liz May is nothing more than a socialist wrapped in a green (biodegradable) flag.

  4. I also heard Lizzie May on Roy Green’s show. It was amusing and somewhat sad near the end when she refused to state that Alberta’s Oil Sands were, overall, a good thing for our country. The fact that she wouldn’t say these words speaks volumes.
By the way, do you think the Greens would refuse 1 cent of the money from this oil going to social programs?!

  5. What is incredibly irritating is that this woman never shuts her bloody mouth. Roy should have cut her off many times…..she just goes on and on and on and on. He gives her thirty seconds and she just yammers. She is a harpie and expelled more CO2 in the debate than the coal fires in China.

  6. Lizzie Greeen has a problem with reality…like all socalist have…their brain has to much tar to be liquefied into a useable state…..with out pollution to near by areas…

  7. I really really tried to listen to the debate. I listened through Ezra’s opening statement which I found a bit mushy but after Ezra spoke there was this terrible fingernails down a blackboard kind of screech! It was so bad I broke the switch on the radio turning it off! Did I miss anything?

  8. here’s the the thing. i agree 100% with ezra levant. but you have to realize that his arguments are exactly the same as leftist arguments to boycott companies like walmart and the gap. how do we support our own industries without becoming protectionist? the free market is supposed to be a founding principle of our beliefs. essentially, levant’s book is about marketing, not about value.
regardless of the above, it is horribly ironic that the left is ignoring mr. levant’s thesis… it’s exactly the kind of thing that is supposed to appeal to them, and is another example of how the left has abandoned many of the tenets it was born to protect.

  9. Someone has to explain to the green weenies that once they shut down all the oil, they are going to be back to killing animals in order to sole their shoes and hold their pants up. A conundrum in the making…

  10. A debate is supposed to be a presentation of reasoned arguments about a topic.
Having two people and one of them that woman …. is more like a presentation of reasoned argument confronted by a sqealing pig.

  11. This “debate” lends credibility to May that she certainly does not deserve, much like allowing the rude, overbearing banshee to participate in the leaders’ debate.
The so-called debate went as expected….much like Tommy Lasorda debating baseball strategy with a house plant.

  12. Its a good thing Lizzie May is filled with hot air (CO2) because if she were filled with Hydrogen she may have taken Ezra and the entire studio with her when she got shot down in flames on Hindenburg Air.

  13. Ezra has been having a pretty good run of things. He totally outmaneuvered the Greenpeace guy last week and certainly didn’t lose any points to Elizabeth May either.

  14. Hey Lizzy, let Canadians see your charitable donations you stunned you know what. You have acheived NOTHING in your sorry life but assuming the crown of critic of the people who have paid your pathetic way. … Roy was way to charitable to a phoney yap and run artist like you, what have you and your greenie losers ever donated to anything. NOW LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THE CHARITABLE DONATIONS OF THE EVIL TARRRRRSANDS COMPANIES LIZZY. Effin moron.

  15. The Champ says “Elizabeth May = Overrated, there is no way in hell she should be allowed at the election debates.”
Agreed. It reminds me of the days when the debate was raging over the Meech Lake Accord and the radical feminist (and full blown Marxist) nutbars, Judy Rebick and Shelagh Day tried to overpower the debate with shrill and shrieking nonsense. Roy should have shut the harpie up a half dozen times when she wouldn’t adhere to the time alloted to her or his attempts to shut her considerable mouth.

  16. the blowhard from both coasts has not learned anything from her substantial defeats – she never adressed any of Ezra’s main points – just piled negatives on top of negatives, with no recognition of any advantages of the oil sands which help our economy endlessly – why would she be allowed in any leaders debates ?

  17. John – “….when she wouldn’t adhere to the time alloted to her or his attempts to shut her considerable mouth.”
Hah. Um Elizabeth this is not a campaign speech please stop going on and on and on and on….

  18. LIZZY MAY made it very clear when she said that
‘CANADIANS ARE STUPID’ -I guess her family, her staff members, her coalition friends, the poor, the illeterate, the media, everyone, are all stupid.
She rails on the ‘rising of the water(ocean) yet she lives right on the coastline. Same as her pal Al-Gore, he has a mansion right on the beach front.
You see, stupid people like us move to higher ground if we have any inclination water is rising; but not her, she is too smart not to know.

  19. I hope this isn’t too off-topic, but re. the gun registry thing this stuff had been bugging me.
From Big Hollywood (Leo Grin), Sigourney Weaver hates guns: “She (her character) wanted to die in the film (Aliens)),” Cameron recalls, one expects with a shuddr, “she wanted to not use guns, and she wanted to make love to the alien.”
    http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/lgrin/2010/09/11/for-conservative-movie-lovers-james-cameron-sigourney-weaver-and-aliens-part-4/
And she had to compromise her principles when making the film: “I work for gun control, and I was just appalled, frankly. I had to use not only a machine gun but a flamethrower and a bazooka, often at the same time. But you do a little practice to get ready, and it’s very addictive, I’m afraid.”

So how to explain this coolness?
Another noted lefty Susuan Sarandon on gun conrol: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:a3VqSdqka1wJ:historymatters.gmu.edu/d/5200+susan+sarandon+gun+control&cd=10&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca
    Susan Sarandon in action:
    in action.
    Remember now, guns can
only be used to intimidate and brutalize women.
There’s an old saying, “trust the tale and not the teller”, so I’m not exactly accusing these actresses of hyprocricy, or even of sheer mercantile self interest; there’s a genuine disconnect from reality involved.
