A giant fact about the HAMAS Gaza Flotilla continues to be kept quiet by the mainstream media: Adam Shapiro and Huwaida Arraf – the leaders of the “Free Gaza Movment” and the organizers of the HAMAS Gaza flotilla – and their organization harbored several Islamic terrorists and homicide bombers, including those who blew up a Tel Aviv Bar.
To the ilk who hide their motivations, with the complicity of the news media, behind terms like “peace activist,” such “giant facts” aren’t even motes, they’re utter irrelevancies; to Israel’s most committed opponents, acts of targeted murder like the one at Mike’s Bar in Tel Aviv, where three Israelis were killed and fifty injured, are effectively humanitarian aid bombings.
They don’t use those exact words, of course – at least, the pink ones who aren’t from the region don’t – but you can be sure that in thirty or forty years, western countries will see a senility-induced outbreak of Helen Thomas-style honesty. It will be a relief of sorts.

Speaking as a taxpayer, I am appalled by CBC news reporting. Below, is yet another example of how the main-stream-media types at CBC routinely misrepresents the facts.
CBC News reported that a few hundred people turned out to protest the building of a mosque near the site of the 9/11 terrorist attack.

The organizers of the protest reported a much larger turnout. The pictures of supporters at the protest appear to back the organizers claim that 8000 people came out.

Taxpayer funding of CBC is long overdue for a parliamentary review. The money they receive could be better spent paying down the deficit.

The CBC and it’s threads need comments that break the mould and set minds to thinking. The other day I posted there that I tended to go with the guys that take the suicide vest off the mentally challenged instead of the guys that put it on them. The more negative responses, the closer I get to home. Every now and then you get the opinion of Corporate CBC where a post gets 150 negative responses and the other posts have like 20 that have been posted at the same time. I don’t notice the manipulation cuz they are much smarter than me.
The criticism deserves to be more widespread than CBC; I haven’t read this information anywhere in the Canadian media, though I suspect NP will be the first to pick up on it. This means we have a whole fleet of reporters who aren’t digging. They’re content with the surface reporting. For shame.
I was in Halifax when the so called protests took place with regard to the Gaza boat incident. I watched the demonstration and saw individuals from a large Canadian Union controlling some of the jerks.
When I got back to Kelowna and turned on the “boob” tube, I saw the Toronto rally and again CUPE and CUPW individuals were on hand.
One would have to be a moron not to see the organization behind these events.

What our less than honest media does is frame the discussion by inferring specific meaning with the use of words like “aid boat” and “peace activist” when writing their stories. The fact that all this was a carefully organized act of war is lost somehow in the mind set at places like the CBC.
We saw no homework about the history of the organizers nor such things as the Ma’an Olympic swimming pool or the luxury homes of Terrorist leaders in Gaza. Only these poor folks needing aid. Today we have the BBC being careful about how they don’t label the 4 killed in the sea at Gaza.
The down side of this disgusting reporting is that it will encourage Iran and it’s surrogates to do something really stupid and then all hell will break loose.
And complaining to the so called CBC ombudsman is a waste of time.Maybe we need to complain directly to our MPs.
It is worthy to note that making a comparison to Nazi methods and mentality is a big no-no when the media reflects Goebel’s propaganda ministry.
I don’t watch much TV but enquiries indicate that Helen Thomas outburst is only reported on the internet. I guess it’s just too over the top—too obvious.
The apprehension of 40 Al Qaida by the Isreali’s from that fleet of “humanitarian activists” is another “inconvenient truth” that is suppressed.
The term spin is the understatement of the era.
There’s a word which was used when a person or organization slandered an ally of the realm, or spread the propaganda of our enemies. This word has fallen out of use in it’s original meaning, although some DemocRats have appropriated and twisted it recently.
That word is “sedition”, and I think it applies to the actions of the CBC and the BBC regarding Israel. It’s been this way a long time now, but this latest “aid flotilla” push is edging the Middle East dangerously close to open war.
Mainstream media outlets could defeat this effort to cause a war by simply reporting what we all saw on video: Israeli marines attacked while enforcing a blockade. Blockade in place to stop lunatics from firing missiles at civilian targets.
By repeating enemy propaganda, there’s a good chance they are going to get a lot of people killed.
I’m of the opinion that if you lie and get people killed, you should be held to account for that. In jail. Budget cuts may no longer be enough, my friends.

The never-ending conflict in the Middle East baffles me. A guy I worked with insisted that the WW2 Allies put Israel in the center on the ME to intentionally keep the region unstable. Whatever the reason, there does not seem to be an event or chain of events that will end the insane crusade of the Muslims. Mutual destruction is inevitable.
Even more mysterious is the reason for the left’s support of Muslims and hatred of Israel. How can they not see that Islam is the bigger threat to liberal democracies in the West? How does the left benefit from the destruction of Israel? Not the “peace” activists and other rabble but the head honchos.

The first link ‘giant fact’ leads to an article on employment….. Almost all of the articles on this story make much about the ship being boarded in international waters. These articles should read ‘legally’ boarded in international waters,but that wouldn’t fit the progressive agenda that passes for reporting in Canada.
There’s already been noise about the dinosaur media being — wait for it — too big to fail.
So not only will we continue to have the MSM, ahem, relieving themselves on our shoes and telling us it’s raining, but we’ll get to pay for it under government coercion.
And I have no doubts at all that they are trying to figure out a way of clamping down on “amateur” journalism, which for the past several years has been the only sort of journalist doing any actual, you know, journalism.
EBD, I agree with you about Thomas. This is why we need to Human Rights Commissions to be disbanded. Because we have no idea how many Helen Thomases are out there, with racist views, but smart enough (usually) to play along with PC culture and keep their hatreds to themselves. But we don’t know how much of senility-induced Thomas honesty we will see… it would be much better for all of us if these people just declared their hidden thoughts, and then we didn’t punish them for it (like Helen has been punished), and then everything would be in the open for everybody to deal with the situation.
Instead we have this insanity in the middle east that can only be understood when you realize that there are a lot of Helen Thomases out there.
