  8. Everytime Helen opens her mouth I wonder in amazement how she could possibly have held her job for the last 50 odd years. Of course, I shouldn’t be amazed; the white house press corps is filled with hacks like Thomas. During the Bush years they were “outraged” when she was shuffled to the back of the press room. I think it is outrageous that she gets any opportunity to shape the national debate.

I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that Ahmadinejad, and those who adhere to his ideas on “resettlement”, would take a remarkably different view of Arab Muslims being pushed out of Sudan, Chad, and other parts of Africa that were populated by Christian and animist sub-Saharan blacks before Arab incursions.
    Or in Ahmadinejad’s own Iran, what about the Zoroastrians who were pushed out into India? Can they demand that Iran’s territory be returned to them too?
    They also conveniently overlook the fact that there are Arab Palestinians who have citizenship and full legal rights in Israel. If the Israelis were to suddenly acquiesce and hand all of the land back, could they expect reciprocal treatment from the new owners? And what about all the civil engineering the Israelis have done? They made the desert bloom. That stuff didn’t appear out of thin air. If the Israelis are supposed to “go back to Poland”, that does mean they get to take all their improvements with them doesn’t it?

  12. I’m still confused by the fact that it is historically well documented that the Jews have lived in Jerusalem/ Israel for thousands of years, yet people still insist that they are the occupier’s.
    That they were displaced and scattered to the winds of the earth, reclaiming their ancestral land >2000 years and whole lot of persecution later, does not make them the bad guy.
    Jews have been leaving modern Europe in droves lately due to the Muslim invasion of Europe. Where to now? The ovens I suppose, but that does seem rather dramatic these days especially in light of the Leftards world of compassion doesn’t it? After all the Arabs seem to be welcomed by the globalist “non racist” left wherever they want set up a “death to Jews” base of operation.

  21. For Arabs, history starts with them and their superiority.
    Palestinians in Gaza are descendants of Arab conquerors who invaded and have “occupied” the land of centuries. Of course for centuries before that, it was Judea, or should we spell it Jewdea.
    So the Palis are upset because the rightful owners of the land have come back and kicked the squatters out. Too righteous by half.
    Maybe Helen should advise all the descendants of the Arab invaders, all those arabs living as “settlers” in “occupied territories” to go home to Saudi Arabi and Yemen, where they came form.

  44. Have spent some time with a dear old German friend who lived to see and escape his native land after the war.
    He has told me that the atmosphere regarding the Jews and Jewish state are eerily similar to the days preceding the full-on persecution of the Jews when he was back in Germany.
    History repeats itself, if it is not taught with clarity and truth. The rise of this kind of hatred is sad and shameful to be caught up in. Those who see only the one side of this issue, that of the demise of the Jewish state, are driven to repeat the massacre (or attempt thereof) and will do it with fervor and glee as they truly believe they are doing the right thing.
    That is what is so bewildering in this day of media and access to history and facts. But, there are those who are unwilling to read or listen to those who are of a differing viewpoint.
