Or is it for the smaller-sized residents of Pakistan and the MIddle East?
Is a way, it's all starting to make sense now.
Bluetech, I love the hypocrisy of the Toronto-centred media, primarily that of CTV and CBC. Most of their anchors and PPG reporters we see everyday are residents of Ontario and taxpayers in the province and as such will be hit MUCH harder in their pocketbooks by the $25 billion Ontario Liberal gov’t deficit which, if you extrapolate to compare it to the $53 billion federal deficit they are all whipped up about, is a whopping $75 billion, considering Ontario has approximately 1/3 of Canada’s population.
In spite of this, references to Ontario’s deficit during broadcasts of their provincial news divisions over the past few months has been few and far between while over that same period the federal deficit has been referenced in virtually all reports dealing with federal politics.
Mansbridge, Solomon, Robertson, Fife and the like aren’t really concerned about taxes, deficits and how much each will cost them or us personally, it’s more about attacking a gov’t whose political stripe they simply don’t like.

When I heard that the Ceeb was doing a multi-part documentary on WWII and fascism and communism entitled "Love, Hate and Propaganda" hosted by George Strombo, I thought, here we go...
So far, only watching bits and pieces that I plan on filling in later on the PVR, I have to say that it seems historically accurate, though lacking on certain details. The biggest inaccuracy is how Strombo suggests that classic fascism and communism are polar opposites, when they are actually cut from the same cloth.
Interested in what others who saw it are thinking...

Bull, I'm assuming that this broadcast will be free for Canadians to download somewhere (as it was paid for by taxpayers).
Did they at least mention Hitler's non-aggression pact with Stalin and how both conspired to divide Poland?
In case my hyperlink doesn't work, look up the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact.
Big band music, whitewall tires.
Will they ever return?
That warn't no boogie. That was just swing -- which I like, but not when it's pretending to be boogie. Cab Calloway or Mugsy Spanier for a band, Albert Ammons or Pete Johnson (a truly great musician) for the ivories.
Now that's BOOGIE!
Afterthought: Mugsy didn't do too badly in that genre....for an Irishman!
[Who said it was "boogie"? I just said it was "their version of Boogie
Woogie", which as you correctly point out is a swing version. That
they were doing a swing version of "Boogie Woogie" does not imply
that they were, as you claim, "pretending to be boogie". You should
avoid disagreeing with things that weren't said. ~Vitruvius]

"New Jersey snow sculpture gets frosty reception
Police in the US state of New Jersey have ordered a family to cover up their snow sculpture of the famous nude Venus de Milo after a neighbour complained.
Eliza Gonzalez sculpted the snow-woman with her son and daughter on her front lawn in Rahway following a snowstorm.
Many people praised their creation, but a police officer told them a neighbour had found it too risque, she said."

Without any oversight, accounting, or transparency, environmental activist groups have surreptitiously received at least $37 million from the federal government for questionable “attorney fees.” The lawsuits they received compensation for had nothing to do with environmental protection or improvement. ...Congressional sources have said the disclosure was necessary to determine the extent of fraud and abuse. The $37 million is considered only a fraction of what has been paid out to the activist groups.

"Reports Say Pentagon Shooter John Patrick Bedell Was 911 Truther, Anti-Bush Zealot and Anti-Military
First, going back to 2006, Bedell recorded some worrisomely creepy and fanatical-sounding internet opinions (read: ramblings), which rail against apparent
"criminal organizations" (Bush-Cheney reference??) within the US government for perpetrating the 911 terrorist attacks and also prosecuting the war in Iraq. Without a doubt, this sounds like talking points from any run-of-the-mill, left-wing group that was ticked off at Bush for liberating Iraq! Additionally, Bedell also railed against US government control of private property and the economy in those same internet ramblings; remember, these recordings were done in 2006, way before the Obama bailouts and stimulus. So what must be kept in mind here is, if Bedell was already so on-the-edge during Bush's presidency, just imagine how much more Obama's increasing takeover of the US economy during 2009 pushed him over the edge!

EU's 'carbon fat cats' get rich off trading scheme: study

" Dominated by steel and cement makers, the same "carbon fat cats" stand to collect surplus CO2 permits that -- at current market rates -- could be worth 3.2 billion euros (4.3 billion dollars) by 2012, it said.
This is roughly equivalent to the entire EU investment in renewable energy and clean technology under its economic recovery plan, according to Sandbag, a non-profit group in Britain that analyses carbon market policy. "

[Censored]
No, Maz2, nothing was "Censored", unless you mean by yourself. Look, buddy, in regard to a few of your previous comments in weeks past, you simply can't just include many, many paragraphs of copyrighted work in your Reader Tips here. That's not what's called fair use. It's against the law, and, frankly, it's immoral too. If you can't take the time to quote one or two paragraphs, and add a summary in your own writing, then perhaps you should ask yourself what value you are adding to the service we provide to SDA readers here.
Or do you think it is legitimate for a thousand readers to have to spend 10 seconds each trying to decide whether or not to engage your tip, for a total cost of 10,000 seconds, because you were too lazy to spend 300 seconds composing a good reader tip? Listen, man, pay attention to the Reader Tips that Charles MacDonald posts here. That's the style that will attract readers to your comments ~ unless that's not what you're interested in, of course. Is it something else that you are interested in?
