Leave people to make up their own minds??!! What's the point of being a journalist? Next he'll want one person - one vote. How's a good lefty supposed to control anyone at that point? Only one solution -- burn the heretic (with appropriate carbon offsets of course).

Note that Newman simply called for balance, an airing of both sides of the AGW debate. The response? Animosity.

This, along with his stated belief that "people have a right to make up their own minds," leads me to consider him an old-school journalist in the middle of a new-age "public opinion shaping" lot.

His is an uphill battle given the wholesale abandonment of fact-based reporting in favour of political editorializing by the media elite.

That tack by Journalism will prove to be its downfall.

A "presenter" and a "science guy" jump up to defend the "climate change/global warming scam" and defy their broadcasting company chairman? Their front running "Green" investments must really be underwater. Time for pink slips.

"Climate change denialist", just another ad Hominim label. Anything rather than attempt to address the "denialist's" allegations with facts.

Doesn't the irrational, angry response of the ABC "journalists" remind you of the old child's fable "The Emperor's New Clothes"?

Harper's gamble to follow TOTUS's lead on AGW is paying-off. It appears the finish line is in sight, the Cap'n Trade bill in the US Senate is the key. The death of this bill along with the "Bottle Genie" will likely spell the end of the AGW hysteria. In my opinion, victory has been defined. But remember, once the tax is in place the game is over.

America wields the Global Warming Hammer. The question is: will she be putting the final nail in the Anthropogenic Global Warming coffin; or, will she strike at America’s heart and shatter her own economy.

To all those hoping to see the same words used to describe the CBC, this: first, vote Conservative. Second, hope for a majority. Third, hope that there is a half-ball left in Harper's pants when he gets there.

Allowing Amazon to set up book distribution in Canada is the right thing to do.

Ms. Reisman, chief executive of Indigo Books & Music, is currently censoring Canadian readers by limiting access to books she personally finds distasteful. Without access to Amazon, I would not have had access to all the books I have purchased in the last five years. If I wanted to read Ms Reisman's approved Liberal slanted books, I could access them from the local library, another censored source for reading material.

As a Conservative, I object to any interference in my access to information. I believe that the CRTC and the CHRC are the greatest threat to the future of Canada we face.

As much as I find the bitter leftist propaganda from the CBC distasteful, I find the rest of the media in Canada guilty of a far greater amount of censorship by way of completely ignoring a large section of the news and news makers completely, while still slanting the news to support the liberal world-view.

While I find the pro-Islam slant of Fox News reprehensible during an active war, their overall news coverage is so far and away better than the alternative, I do watch some Fox News for a better understanding of political issues.
Judging by the blatant liberal slant of Jim Shaw's radio efforts in Vancouver, (CKNW as example), I do not expect any improvement in the output of Global TV, even without the Liberal Party's Asper.

My solution? Abolish the CRTC, give the CBC French Network to Quebec, even if you need to throw in a few million to make them take it. Put the CBC English Network up for sale. As soon a Murdock expresses an interest, the Ontario Teacher's Pension Fund will grab it, with the effect of having the viewers own their own propaganda machine. Allow Murdock to buy CTV, and let Goldman Sachs control Global.

End ALL subsidies of Canadian books, media and telephone services. Allow unrestricted access to foreign cell service providers, remove all controls on internet access providers, and watch the economy take off, increasing tax revenue enough to allow lowering all tax rates.

As Canadians, we face only two choices for the future, either we embrace personal freedom, the free markets and capitalism, or we accept Dhimmitude under the iron hand of militant Islam. As the father of three daughters and three grand-daughters, I am not prepared to allow the second option.
