What is the problem? This is just normal for the Liberal Party of today.

Last night, cheating was discovered that appears to support the OYL Forward candidate for Eastern Region at the AGM this weekend in Richmond Hill.

What are OYL and AGM?

Oz, Ontario Young Liberals, Annual General Meeting.

The pedigree is consistent.

The "nut doesn't fall too far from the tree" comes to mind!

"Young Liberals" sounds too much like "Young Chekists" for my tastes.

What do the acronyms OYL, AGM, etc. stand for? I wish you would get out the habit of using acronyms that may be familiar to some but totally foreign to others. Especially if you think anyone will seriously reference anything -- the proper way is to spell out the full name at the beginning, then use the acronym thereafter e.g.: "Drug Enforcement Agency" (DEA).

Plus I still don't have a clue what "AGW" stands for after reading a hundred articles on your Blog referencing it. Does it mean people who are "anti-global warming" (ie against the warming of the globe), people who are anti the claims of global warming (ie against the activist science claiming global warming), or something else?

Anyway, signing off and reminding everyone to keep a record of thier LKG when they are KJMS'ing at a local BRD. By the way, do you think it is helpful to lend political support to the IIQ and HLEWZ?

Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic, but I was being friendly (evidenced by the smily face). I know Kate didn't write the specific post, but she is guilty of doing the same thing all the time and the precendent for clearer writing should start with the owner of the blog, no?

Just to be the devil's advocate.....
I know most of us are familiar with the above acronyms, but not everyone is. My daughter asked me the same questions while looking over my shoulder one night and I was happy to explain them to her. It was nice to see her showing some interest.

No. As Lance already clearly explained, Ricardo's questions were answered in the third comment supra. Ricardo can come waltzing in here and interrupt the conversation without even listening to what is already being discussed? I think not. And the others who respond to him other than to point this out? They are all simply being inconsiderate. There is a topic here, and SDA server and bandwith resources are being wasted not talking about it. What I find most disturbing about the issue of integrity within the Federal Liberal Party is the lack of acknowledgment that they need to clean house from top to bottom.

We can point to the Gomery commission to see the corruption for some of those at the top. Most of us haven't bothered to read the detailed interviews which outline an absence of a basic understanding of "Right vs Wrong"

Strangely, some of us need to understand and accept that the federal Liberal party needs to clean house because our nation requires at least Two viable and effective Political choices.

I find it utterly disgusting that Federal liberals have never gotten the message that corruption isn't needed in our System of Governance.

The initiator of the complaint we have now read isn't likely to last very long in that jungle...but I wish him "good luck".

I never doubt the cynicism of Canadians because they have just cause for that view!

I left a comment to the effect that if they didn't like their process being corrupted by power-seeking opportunists maybe they should try being the party of -less- government instead of more.

Notwithstanding, The discussion was about dishonesty amongst Ontario Young Liberals(OYL).
This should be a surprise to no one. The liberal mindset is to achieve your goal using whatever methods are available whether they be scrupulous or not.
I've worked with First Nations now for many years and find them to be a wonderful people. Their politics however, has been shaped by liberal values and often leaves much to be desired in terms of honesty and accountability. They come by their sense of entitlement from years of dealing with liberal governments whose answer to every problem was to throw more money at it. Young Liberals, I suspect, have that same sense of entitlement and can't even recognize that their actions are wrong. Cheating is just a means to an end that will put them in their rightful place at the top of the pile.

Its a bit late now, but if the Liberals had cleared out some of their most obvious criminals and publicly said .."we're sorry", there may have been some repair achieved.

As it is, they are hobbled with fraudsters and led by a foreigner.
