Is There Nothing That Obama Can't Do?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to take a vacation*...

So why did Massa cave, resign and is now screaming foul? If there's a vast conspiracy, why doesn't he nut up and fight back?

The comments he's allegedly being investigated for don't strike me as particularly offensive...

There's something else going on here.

Are you going to have to remove your shoes or do they have those peek at you nekkid things yet?

There is no wrong time to go on vacation... unless PiperPaul is behind the security gate. just sayin'

Well, well, well. All the dirty laundry going out on the line. And as we know, the DemocRats are the party of dirty laundry, bigtime. There's probably not a one of them hasn't got a couple skeletons stashed in the bedroom closet. Plenty of room for blackmail, I'd imagine.

Normally they only do this stuff to Republicans, but with Barry's "Kill America Now!" agenda loosing steam, its the logical next step: purge the Party of anybody who won't roll over for the Big Dawg.

I think the next little while will see lots of DemocRats suddenly being investigated for all kinds of disgusting behavior, or bailing out preemptively.

Yay!

I used to think that with browns win obamacare would not pass.

Watching and reading and listening these past few weeks to what is going on I now think that it will. And with it the nature of America and America will be changed utterly - awash in unsustainable entitlements.

These guys are beyond left-wing - they are power and glory hungry to the point that I think they would / will do anything to get it passed including murder. The ends justify the means - Marxist to the core.

Needless to say I am not of good mood of late...

Yet more proof that Obama is America's first socialist president.

Cheer up Gord, it could be worse. It could be happening to us. :)

agreed djb

Also, I believe they WILL pass something. It's an interesting *political* situation where it is difficult to determine whether passing healthcare "By all means necessary" will be a net political benefit or loss(speaking in the short term).

Passing nothing will be confirmation of the ineptitude of this administration for both the Right and Left-wing. The Right and the Moderates will rejoice, and the Left will be outraged. Conversely so, it would be the Right that is outraged (which has no political bearing for the Dems) and the moderates will be split between "outraged" and those that believe passing something shows progress(pardon the pun). This will perhaps salvage some bit of dignity in the eyes of moderates by actually accomplishing something. Finally this would solidify the support for TOTUS on the Left-wing which appears to be his top political priority.

Politically speaking, I believe TOTUS MUST pass a healthcare bill and present the appearance success on some level.

It IS CRITICAL for the Dems to get this healthcare thingy passed intact. Then regardless the next election they will be entrenched permanently in a bureaucracy which will be difficult and possibly impossible to dislodge.
The bureaucracy will be the tail wagging the maerican dog.
That is what it is all about.
Expect some sudden convenient deaths--Kremlin/Chicago style as well.
Rahm is a Beria clone........

If it's a Dem and it comes from Chicago it's running mobster politics. It's unwise to pick up the soap in the showers at the Dem Gym.

Just read about this over at hillbuzz.org. The boyz are requesting photoshopped images using the Psycho shower scene - perhaps a hapless voter in the shower with Rahm's "finger" jabbing at the voter. Love this site, thanks for all your good work!

O'watermelon pedlar: Rather. Accurate.
...-

"Dan Rather: 'Articulate' Obama Couldn't Even 'Sell Watermelons'"

"Listen he's a nice person, he's very articulate" this is what's been used against him, "but he couldn't sell watermelons if it, you gave him the state troopers to flag down the traffic."

Because the "benefits" of the "Healthcare Bill" don't take place for 4 years, I think that it could be repealed before the damage is done. Now the taxes to pay for it are another thing....

Perhaps I'm naively optimistic, but I agree with Dogbert. If the Dems pass their health care monstrosity, the next seven months leading up to the November mid-term elections will be about the bill. Specifically, Republicans will be campaigning to repeal it.

Now, of course, after November Obama will block any legislation to repeal the health care bill with his veto. But, that would presumably change in 2012, still two years before any benefits would begin.

This is all predicated on the assumption Bam Bam is a one-term wonder.

This is how dark ages happen. Politicians who think their more than human.

Glen Beck is having Maas on his show tomorrow, March 9 for the entire show - 2PM, 11PM Pacific time. Should be interesting...

"Weapon of Massa distraction: Cold showers and hot conspiracies

Don’t trust Democrat Rep. Eric Massa any further than you can throw him.

He’s been a progressive zealot and political opportunist his entire career. He’s claimed conspiracy before, is intimately bonded with the nutroots, and climbed the political ladder with backing from the odious, anti-war-hoaxer-embracing Gen. Wesley Clark. What Massa dismissively calls his “salty old sailor” talk should raise bright red flags about possible longstanding predatory behavior.

Look, I’m as happy as anyone to see Rahmbo and the Chicago Way slammed so openly by another Democrat. Naked shower fights? Blue-on-blue catfights?

Yep, it confirms everything I’ve been writing about the Obama Culture of Corruption the last two years.

But.

He’s a sick, desperate pol looking to save his hide and distract from his smelly ethics problems and personal problems. This is not a hero, not a bona fide champion of reform and integrity in government. He’s the jerk who gave the figurative middle finger to his own constituents as he proclaimed last year that he would ram single-payer down their throats no matter what they thought..

..So, last year he’s the pol willing to go kamikaze to pass nationalized health care.

And now, tainted by scandal, he’s running to Fox News to cast himself as a warrior against Obamcare and its left-wing overlords?

A radical backer of the Big Labor card check bill, he’s now trashing union corruption.

C-r-a-p-w-e-a-s-e-l.

We don’t need this weapon of Massa distraction to indict the Obama thugs and to expose the Demcare bribe-a-thon. Don’t need him to keep the no-mentum going...."

If Obama had the numbers for Obamacare the vote would be tomorrow. It isn't because they don't. Will they get them. I don't know but I'd guess they won't.

No worries, enjoy your vacation . . . we can amuse ourselves for a week.

After all, in this era Obamassiah, it is a very, very, very target rich environment.

And if that is not enough, there is always the wheels falling off the bus of that global warming thingy.

Relx, have a great time . . . .

Phantom: if the US loses its individualistic culture to the maw of government interference we lose the competitve rod up our backs that is the American economy and culture - both of which will be greatly diminished if obamacare passes. We will all suffer as a result.

Bob C:

They haven't got the votes - yet. By pushing massa and others who will not vote for it out they reduce the number of votes they need. They will simply move through the ranks pushing resistance out or more likely buying the cooperation of others to get fifty plus one in the congress. They will IMO stop at nothing to get what they want.

Gord, of course you're right and if the US goes, we go in their wake.

Still, I'm sure there's SOMEBODY out there in the big wide world who will be happy to buy all the stuff we presently sell the Americans. Maybe at a discount...

We could probably knock our prices down by half if we reduced the size of our government by 80%. I think that would be a worthy project, myself. We could also attract many companies that will be fleeing the new Obamanation.

Phantom:

From a purely commercial standpoint flagging US demand means we will get less for the commodities we
sell.

From a cultural and political standpoint fighting for conservative change will be a lot harder if the US is as left-wing as we are (or even moreso).

And an economically weak America means a weaker America militarily and the consequences of that are incalculable and all negative.

Is it just me, or based on all these, er, rumours etc. etc. about Eric Massa, does it kind of seem like this whole naked-Rahm-in-the-shower dealie might be at least partly a fantasy rather than an actual thing that happened?

No, it wouldn't be my personal fantasy either. Still.

I'm sure someone else has said it, but remember Naomi Klein and Disaster Capitalism. Now we have Obama and Disaster Socialism.

Massa Massa don't whop me Massa
I done been a good slave Massa

from the comments, "I’ve worked in the Member’s Gym: they walk around swinging all the time – not just in the showers. It’s a really scary place to work if you’re short".
