We need to do a lot of burning coal just to get back to the plant productivity levels of Jurassic.

All those hundreds millions of years the plants and plankton have been depositing C into the soil and ocean bed, thus slowly committing suicide, dragging us along (hmm, where have I heard that part before?)

We have no other option than to do massive coal burning in order to return all that CO2 into the atmosphere if we have plans for long term survival as species.
