I had my camera along, but BCF did a much better job. Enjoy!
(It's a little shaky near the end. Hopefully, he'll post another video showing the proximity of the new Hezbollah bunkers to our plucky UN observers.)
Jonathon Narvey collected other reports here, plus a few past writings from our incomparable guide Uri.

Thanks Kate. The guide was pointing out a UN truck at the end, I am curious what was spoken about it.
I wouldn't say I am shocked by the various media groups decision to omit this information but I was amazed by what I saw here. I can only assume these kind of military installations are also filled afterwards (before the cameras show up) with people with make-up to appear as victims.
Total BS and a great reason to denounce the UN and ignore the MSM.
Nothing like being there to bring home just how hard the media lies about all this stuff eh?
I've got to look at amateur video on a Canadian web blog to get filled in on the Hezbolla/Lebanon/Iranian propaganda program on the Israeli border.
Freakin' unbelievable. Way to go Canadian MSM, may you all be stony broke by Christmas.
Looks like a set for an upcoming Paliwood (north) feature.
Kate, is the kibbutz accessible to the public or tourists? Or did you have special access because of your guide Uri? I'm just wondering because I'd like to see this stuff for myself one day.
So those are the people that would form one of the two states in the two-state "solution"? With hagiographic portraits of Nasrallah and Ahmadinejad the "twelver"? Who in their right mind would entertain such an idea. Unless they were first utterly demilitarized and forced to remain so, Palestine would be the new front line for another "final solution". They do not want peace. This was never about land. It was always about destroying Jews and Israel. Israel is the front line in the war against Islamo-fascism. Now that the rest of the west has abandoned the field, it may be the only line. God help them. Thanks Kate.
Great to see Israel using the conservative blogs for counter-propaganda purposes.
I have an old college friend who is afflicted with the standard slander about Jews owning the banks and media, etc. I usually ask him, "how come such rotten press?".
The depressing thing tho is that no matter how much work is done rebutting Pallywood Productions (e.g. see Richard Landes on the egregious al Durah shooting hoax) the blood libels stand, kinda like how a newspaper error stands after a correction later on D23.
To my comment about the Haiti blood libel (Israeli organ- harvesting) said friend said, "That's most likely not true".
If memory serves, every one of those four thousand missiles was a war crime, since they were inaccurate and "aimed" at civilian populations. That seems never to make the headlines either.
Norway is different from when I was there last......
Global warming?
Welcome back, if indeed, you are back.
How rewarding it would be to be a sniper in the IDF.
Yes, I'm back, but still regenerating.
Same friend: Israel-Lebanon War, 2006.
In the earliest e-mail exchanges, he was totally pro-Israel, which I found shockingly pleasant, and, ahem, evidence of my formidable powers of persuasian. But of course, it was such a cut and clear case of Muslim aggression.
BUT after a few days of MSM coverage, he reverted to his rabidly anti-Israel stance.
Those staged civilian victims, those heart-rending, ravaged childrens' dolls ...
Last November I was on a bus in downtown Las Vegas and I struck up a conversation wtih an older Jewish man from Tel Aviv.
We talked about the situation there and how the Muslims will not let them live in peace.
I told him that when the DAY comes I will be in Israel to fight the good fight.
He said to me... I will too ...see you there..
I was in Isreal about 5 years ago.
there is always an air of tension , not only right at the borders but within the country. the quartered up Jerusalem , the roads near Gaza and the desert marked with yellow tape where there is unexploded ordinance. the fighters coming over every few minutes in a flyby, I dont think they have time to scramble so there are always a pair in the air. a restaurant we were in one night in Eylat was destroyed the following night by a missle fired out of Aquaba.
we went by ourselves not as part of an organized tour so we never felt the safety in numbers. We had rented a car, and car theft is the number one crime in Isreal and we always seemed to have to park in some hubdrub of randomness that sort of defines the middle east .
strangely enough , the scariest time was getting in the middle between two factions of the Isrealis , just walking down the street near the city of David and being trapped between two large crowds that were intent on having a go at it about where we were. there are no easy blocks to walk the other way, everything is walled up and channeled.
Kate is "regenerating", while the MSM keep regurgitating, thanks for bring us a closer sense of what is happening over there.
one other thing sticks in my mind. we were told not to walk in the area of the Hasidic orthodox as they rove around in gangs and would beat you up. they are located out west of the old city and only come in to the wailing wall through the south gate.
we stayed clear as I didnt relish the thought of being beat up by a gang that looked like a pack of Woody Allens in funeral suits.
cal2 the tensions with the Hasidic community were discussed, we were told as we drove through one such neighborhood that to do so on a Saturday may result in having a stone or dirty diaper thrown at your vehicle as it is considered a violation of the Sabbath. Due to the collective nature of Judaism as the Hasidic see it your violation of sabbath law endangers their possibilty of redemption.
If you bump into Green Helmet Guy, can you get his autograph for us?
He's been in so many movies its like he should have his own red carpet>
at the airport there were a bunch of Hasidic teens roughhousing , another thing that looked very odd. you just expect someone dressed like that to be sitting quietly. and when you are used to the muckabouts having their underwear pulled half way up their back and not in a what looks like a really confining outfit it can really make you stare.
looks like hormones surpasses decorum as usual.
Yeah Vancouver 2010, glad the guy had his hat on backwards.
It also gives you an idea of what got Jesus in trouble. He would have pointed out, correctly, that throwing diapers was ALSO a violation of the Sabbath. Hence his eventual demise :-) As the line goes in Life of Brian, 'there's no pleasing some people.'
And Uri sounds a little different on his blog than he does in person. That and the fact that he looks a lot like George Clooney and I think we need to steer him into the direction of _video_ blogging. :-)
Uhhhh....makes you wonder why you don't hear about the 4000 missiles, eh?
Not Waiting For the Asteroid - indeed!
For the price of a vacation, bloggers can provide this kind of information. How embarrasing for the MSM who keep on bleating that they are essential for the gathering and distribution of news?
The Kibbutz is Misgav Am. It is gated, but they will let you in to the observation point.
Thanks Kate. Somehow I do not think that this clip will make it into the MCC Middle East information file.
The March of the Red-Green Brigades
The Red-Green alliance is on the march. On Wednesday, the leftist-controlled European Parliament in Strasbourg passed a resolution endorsing the Goldstone Report. That report, it will be recalled, denies Israel's right to self-defense by alleging that Israel's actions to defend itself from illegal Palestinian aggression during the course of Operation Cast Lead were war crimes.

Time to pitch in and get BCF some video editing software. Or at least motion sickness pills for viewers. Fascinating footage to be sure but I suspect ET has other excuses for the bunker village with no people.
Texas Canuck
Strange that we have not heard from ET. Must be having problems figuring out how Israel is to blame for this.
fascinating footage, it clearly demonstrates why even in modern times you want the high ground.
I suspect they will load the school with kids the day of the war.
CBCpravda. time to do some investigative journalism.
Does CBC regularly check in at SDA -- hi, guys! -- or does this clip need to be sent to them?
I realize that their motto is "don't confuse us with the facts," but for the record, they should be confronted with this fake village and have to ask themselves, what's it all about?
You may want to consider sending a copy to the White House. I have just completed a blog post on the ridiculousness of US understanding of the situation on the ground:
"OBAMA -Listen up. Israel isn' the Gates Affair.."
You just can't have a Prez who specializes in knee-jerk reactions and who lets world affairs go hang while focused on domestic legislation. Question: Can Congress be left alone without a sitter?

Obama understands Middle East + Afghanistan? Look at that:
Top Afghan Taliban commanders arrested in Pakistan last month are living in comfortable safe houses run by the country's top intelligence service, or ISI, as they are considered the main avenue for reconciliation with Taliban leaders. Sources in the Pakistani security agencies believe they are the key to the Taliban leaders and since they are Pakistani hands, the process has to be conducted through Pakistan and secure the country's strategic interests after international forces leave Afghanistan.........
He had a frank discussion with his US counterpart Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, in which Kayani set the rules of the game for Pakistan's cooperation in eliminating Al-Qaeda and setting up a line of communication with top Taliban leaders.
At the top of the list was a demand from Pakistan to shut out India from playing any role in Afghanistan.
The Americans accepted the demand and India was suddenly removed from any strategic dialogue.
American leaders are now continuing an exclusive strategic dialogue with Pakistan which will culminate in the upcoming Pak-US Strategic Dialogue scheduled to take place in Washington from 24 to 26 March.

A new report released Monday sheds a new light on the way Hamas operated during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza.
The 500-page report was written by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, a research group led by former Military Intelligence officer Col. (res.) Reuven Erlich. The Jerusalem Post described the report as “the first real, aggressive Israeli response to the Goldstone Report, taking it apart piece-by-piece and explaining the true nature of the conflict against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”
