We Don't Need No Stinking Judges

How about, instead, we pick community organizers, union lawyers ... and perhaps Acorn defence attorneys:

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., criticized the American Bar Association on Thursday, saying it should "get a new life" in how it rates prospective federal judges, after one of his choices got a mixed review.

In remarks to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Reid said the bar association's ratings board puts too much weight on whether judicial nominees have prior bench experience and overlooks "real world" qualifications.

Reid expanded his criticism to include the Supreme Court, whose makeup, he said, consists of "people who have never seen the outside world."

"I have asked President (Barack) Obama, 'Let's get somebody on the court that has not been a judge.' They need to do more than thinking of themselves as these people who walk around in these robes in these fancy chambers."

... the details.

Yes, folks, he really is just that stupid. Hard to believe, isn't it?

I can't imagine why Nevada is eager to dump him back in Searchlight.

Are you sure Palin didn't say that :)

Fuzzy
[.....Are you sure Palin didn't say that :)

HI MOM!!!

Didn't you get the memo.....
The new DemocRAT/lefty SOP is no longer the Palin is dim.....she is now cunning and devious.

RESIST THE NEW WORLD ORDER

It's gotta be stupid if Fuzzy thinks Palin could have said it. So the lemmings are just as stupid as Reid. Is there any hope for humanity in this sea of dimwits?

This seems to be the prime motivator of these people. It's like the kids that got together to elect as prom queen the poor girl in the wheelchair. They don't seem to notice that a President's job is a bit harder than a prom queen's. They don't seem to care that a judge should have a certain familiarity with the law. They don't understand that getting into Harvard with a good sob story doesn't necessarily translate into graduating from Harvard.

All that matters is the feel-good gesture. The consequences never seem to enter their minds; when things are falling apart around them, they're mystified as to the cause.

Sometimes, it does make you despair, eh, sonofAtilla.

For Democracy to work, it calls for, really needs, it's Citizens to act and vote in the general interest as thinking, reasonably informed adults.

Unfortunately, that's the exception, not the rule.

Wasn't it the ancient Athenian Pericles who said, "Democracy is a very poor form of government. But all the others are much worse."

"Don't have any real life experience"

Unlike a certain manchurian candidate who ingratiated himself to the Chicago democrat regime and was ushered along by the bosses. Community organizer, city councillor, state senator, senator, President. I think each job lasted less than two years, except for the last one. Hopefully, a birth certificate will be produced and they will impeach him before he can do any more damage.

Ayers lookin' for a job?

Reid is not a f**cking moron as one would initially think. He is devious in trying to undermine the traditional institutions by perfidious means. Judges don't need to be judges, as long as they are radical left-wing ideologues.

That has to be one of the scariest things I've ever heard a politician say.

Along the lines of Judge Judy or judge Joe Brown? Someone tell him it's not real.

The judiciary is standing in the way of America's inevitable march towards a socialist utopia. Judges get all concerned with the constitution, due process, precedent, a deep understanding of the law, and the like. America needs a progressive legal system where social justice, not entrenched rules, is the order of the day.

Harry's been losing it of late. His comments about Obama's lack of eubonics would have been a national sensation were they not spoken by a Democrat.

Wendy:

I don't think Reid would like Judge Judy. She was at one time a real judge, and has this strange idea that you can be merciful towards the criminal, or merciful towards the victims, but not both.

Doesn't sound like Harry's kind of girl at all.

Would Harry prefer a Freisler or a Aleksandr Vyshinsky as judges?

Harry isn't totally stupid, he just didn't go far enough. The next supreme should not only have no experience as a judge, he or she should have experience as a lawyer. The next appointee should have been a victim or parent of a victim of some of the court's past decisions.

Pericles also said "Just because you don't take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you".

Don't the bar association have enough trouble keeping the bars of the nation safe, serving the booze and such, rather than get into bottom feeders business.

Reid expanded his criticism to include the Supreme Court, whose makeup, he said, consists of "people who have never seen the outside world."

Which is a bit rich, given that Harry Reid has worked in the government for his entire working career, starting with working for the United States Capitol Police while he was in law school at George Washington. He's never, as far as I can tell, held a job outside government.

most lawyers are lefties, and they didn't give her a top rating, which says much about her

me thinks good old harry should go bang his stupid head on a block wall a few times

Harry Reid as ascended to heights far beyond his intelligence - which doesn't say much for the Nevada electorate.

I hope the polls are true and stay where they are so that this incredibly stupid man gets his ass kicked into oblivion.

For a country of some 300 million people they sure can't pick-em when it comes to political leaders.

I know - I know - we have our issues too. But Harry Reid??? Give me a major break.

The Science Journalists considered Science to be to important to be left up to the Scientists..., and we got AGW

Politicians consider Jurisprudence to be to important to be left up to Judges..., and we get anarchy leading to Communism…

Time to Lock & Load

All the democrats from the big zero on down seem to be extremely upset that the supreme court recently decided that the 1st ammendment takes precedence over the statists desire to prevent anyone from spending money around election time to publicize embarrasing things that statists running for office have done.

Obviously the judges who have did this haven't studied post-modern constitutional law which lets the TOTUS interpret the constitution how he thinks it should be interpreted rather than using the obsolete interpretations of dead white males. Through hermeneutical analysis of the constitution it is obvious to statists that the literal interpretation that uneducated teaparty members favor represents a danger to modern society. Hence the attacks on legal organizations that don't look at law from the modern "progressive" weltanschauung.

The one big obstacle in the big zero's path is the US supreme court and that very annoying 17'th century document, the US constitution. Hopefully after this years midterm elections this chapter in US history will be just another bad memory. I'm very impressed that the authors of the US constitution considered the possibility that someone like BO would become president and setup means to counter a dictatorship over 200 years ago.

Fools rush in where wise men never go. Why 'should' a judge need any legal experience?

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Harry?
