What is it with conservative women, they clearly know who the enemy is, and aren't afraid to say so:
"We really do love our trees," Palin said. "I named my daughter Willow. Isn't that granola enough for them?"

Quote of the Day? More like Quote of the Decade!
That is the best one-liner I've read or heard in a long time.! :-)
(Her view of "Global Warming" "science" is one more reason for the Left to hate, despise and look down on Palin. But the truth is the truth and they already hate her anyway.)
Please let's stop calling it a science. Let's call it fiction, science means the findings can be verified my following the same tests and experiments. Words means something let us call it Global Warming Fraud or Global Warming Fiction and the perpetrators...the Global Warming Liars. See appending the proper words puts the whole "theory" in the proper perpective.
Ok, that quote is nothin but net!
That photo montage is seriously deficient by means of excluding S.E. Cupp. Glasses....
They're making fun of neo-libs now. That's a good sign. And the DC press corps has stopped laughing at Gibbs.
Things are looking up.
Palm note for today
Gibbs Bite Me
Let's call it what it is, "science fiction" deserving of all the weight and consideration of "Star Trek", which was at least entertaining.
And all the fuss over Palin's note on her hand is reminiscent of a group of Grade One kids snickering at recess over the latest bit of gossip.
"Professional journalist" has become a contradiction in terms.
Gibbs is a vaudeville act waiting for a paying gigg. Too bad this WH has talked down Vegas - he may have had a future as the wannabe comediian before the guest star. The big question, can he tap dance? Shepard hook anyone? Cheers.
What is it with conservative men that they stand on the sidelines and watch the left assassinate the character of conservative women and their children. These women are certainly strong enough to stand up to these attacks and have done so; however, the lack response from McCain et al has been disgraceful
What is it about conservative women?
1. Women, in general, can get away with being ruder and blunter, particularly if they're attractive. In fact, some guys think it's kind of cute...for awhile, anyway.
2. It is essential for women going into male dominated careers to have a thick skin and sense of humor. Ditto for conservatives going into liberal dominated professions.
Therefore, the attitude of "Bite Me" becomes a natural (and successful) reflex for conservative women in politics and journalism.
Liberal women, OTOH, can rely on being protected by feminists and workplace anti-harassment policies. So being shrill and homely is not career limiting for them.
Gibbs a vaudeville act... AMEN.
What an unprofessional creep.
Wouldn't believe him if he said the sun would set tonight.
Robyn
A U kidding me? Where have everyday women like yourself been for the last few decades? I NEVER hear any women in everyday life standing-up for anything except the official politically correct stance of women. Where are the women protesting in the streets for Afghan women, victims of honour killings, the treatment of women in the press(SP), dad’s that want fair access to their kids ect…
Besides some active posters on this site, IMO women collectively not only have dropped the ball, but don't even know where the ball is when it comes to electoral responsibility. They run around like children saying “I want, I want” or “it’s not fair” or “I’m a victim” willing to prostitute their vote for whomever will toss them a bone regardless of the long-term consequences (see liberal Canada for an example).
The only time I see women standing-up for anything, is when there is public money up for grabs.
Why should any individual man stick his neck out for the collective called "women" when a) "women" will never reciprocate the gesture; and b) would likely ostracize such a man anyways.
I'm tired of "women" constantly pointing the finger at everyone else for the woes of "women"; never taking their own actions into consideration.
Women are "women’s" biggest problem. Period.
On topic now...
No poster of conservative women should be missing a pic of Julie Banderas.
Hubba Hubba
Talk about a deadly mix of brains and beauty.

Homez, sorry to strick a nerve. You missed the point. You're comments are so true about liberal and progressive women/groups. However, not true when it comes to conservative women such as myself who stand up to liberal attacks and character assissnations. I am just saying many conservative male leaders need to do the same. Surely, you would agree the left media and left women's groups have emasculated much of these leaders and left them feeling afraid to stand up against attacks on themselves, conservative women and their children, such as Palin.
lance @ 12:08 is right. That montage should have included S. E. Cupp.
BTW Indiana Homez, Julie was in the montage. Check your glasses and your adjective suits S.E. Cupp too.
Who snuck in the USS Ronald Reagen? Are all ships she, even warships?
BTW, Monica Crowley deserves to be in that montage.
"sorry to strick a nerve"
You bet! I disagree as I said above. Why should McCain, for example, put his neck out when he and I know damn well "conservative women" and “stay at home moms” won't go to bat for him when the inevitable tirade from liberal women comes. As I said, "women" will ignore the plight of any man that that did such a thing.
IMO it's high time that conservative women, stay-at-home moms, and every other label you can think of stands-up and handles this in-house. This is an internal dispute, and men have been told time and time again that our views/opinions are not welcome when it comes to women's issues.
With all due respect, you've done exactly what I said you'd do by expecting someone else (McCain and conservative men) to do the heavy lifting(political suicide) to resolve a problem created by disinterested women.
“Women, the only minority that outnumbers everyone else.”
My bad Ken, I didn’t recognize her, she looks much better now.
Homez,
You still don't get it! Divided we fall Homez -- conservative men and women need to work together against the progressive attacks -- it not one or the other -- you're attitude of why should I, the women won't do it, fits perfectly into the goals of the left. Rise above it Homez.
It's not that I "don't get it", it’s that I haven't articulated my view properly.
At this time I believe it is counter productive for white guys (or whomever) to say anything. As a husband and father of two girls, I can say I am on your side; but, say'n somethin hurts the WG individually, and the cause as a whole since the aforementioned WG will be ostracized resulting in one less strong conservative voice.
I'm saying the epic "cat-fight" is long over due.
C’mon ladies, do the Wayne Brady and “Smack a (liberal) B*tch”!
So I still disagree with you. Prominent WG's should keep their powder dry until the time “women” want men to speak-up. JMO
bygones... you're a cool girl Robyn
"However, not true when it comes to conservative women such as myself who stand up to liberal attacks and character assissnations."
BTW, I've yet to see any woman stand-up for a man (in person) when he has espoused a politically incorrect view regarding women. I've yet to see a woman stand-up for such a man's right to an opinion, when he's being slammed by women and men for having an opinion.
Correction, I have heard the wives(new) of dads stand-up for the parental rights of their husbands.
Even though we disagree Robyn, are you willing to concede that many men are terrified to publicly speak their opinion on many so called “social justice” issues?
That "Hi MOM" thingy just absolutely made my day....and that of a lot of others.....but really spoiled the day for a slew of lefties.
Simple, subtle and a sniper shot on target....
Love it!
Aleady, I can see that on placards....at townhalls....a rallying cry.
Ain't life jsut grand!
RESIST THE NEW WORLD ORDER
Homez,
Agreed, when it comes to women who are influenced by the progressive agenda in the media, education system etc; however, be careful when generalizing this to all women -- seriously not the situation when it comes to women such as myself and my friends. Certainly, there aren't enough of us. Therefore, I agree to disagree and the last word is yours.
"Bite me!"
It says it all.
Sarah Palin, G*d bless her, has a sense of humour. Her persecutors don't. What idiots.
a) Gibbs is amazingly unprofessional. Not even "unprofessional"; more like "without dignity" and "out to lunch". I keep saying that President One-Term and his team lack advisors; this is so cheap and stupid.
b) Given that Barry can't declaim is own name without a teleprompter, his team might want to, yannow, not dive into the whole "who's reading what off of where and doesn't it make her look like a moron?" thing.
c) I just got my computer back. Where's Kate? Is she off on another schnauzer adventure?
Indiana Homez: "BTW, I've yet to see any woman stand-up for a man (in person) when he has espoused a politically incorrect view regarding women. I've yet to see a woman stand-up for such a man's right to an opinion, when he's being slammed by women and men for having an opinion."
I guess you've never been around me!!!!
mamba
I was starting to worry. I was another week from trying to track you down to check if things are good.
Hope you had a good holiday:)
Thanks Indy. "A few weeks offline will do me good" I thought. "I'll finish Don Quixote".
That'll learn me.
p.s. - so, just to be clear.... you're calling Kathy Shaidle a wimp?
The montage is missing two of the top three or four, IMO.
Shannon Bream and Sandra Smith.
When they are on, I'm sorry, I don't even hear what they say.
"you're calling Kathy Shaidle a wimp?"
Nope, not sure where you got that; although, she did call me "the problem" in the past.
Bygones.
Gotcha batb. Obviously I'm generalizing and it is very easy to point to individual cases to bust my point.
I guess what I'm looking for is the so called "majority" of women to enmass say something the next time some liberal kook is talking bs. Never (besides here) do I hear women calling bs on PC. Whether it's dead-beat dads, or Olympic Ski Jumping, or Sarah Palin I've yet to see anyone (live) say anything unless they’re toting the line.
I still believe that women (generally) don’t want to hear what men have to say regarding women’s issues. And to counter the original point, I’ve heard nothing but support and empathy for SP regarding her treatment in the media and from liberals from conservative men. Even J McCain.
Riddle me this: would I have been better off not to even address this in the first place?
Agree with me or not, I suspect most men reading this would answer "Hell yes you fool".
Indy - well, you said: "I've yet to see a woman stand-up for such a man's right to an opinion..."
But no, you're right; most people are weak and conformist; and feminism is a total wash-out. (And no doubt I'm "the problem" too.)
Although it initially got my back up a little, I like what LC Bennett said @1:07
The interesting thing in that exchange is Monica Crowley's sister is married to Alan Colmes (thanks google).
After listening to him on late-night FOX radio, my sympathies go out to Monica's sister.
Although it initially got my back up a little...black mamba
Really, what part?? Good thing I posted my sugarcoated version.
Indy, the war between the sexes has become a stalemate. I believe that younger men and women will continue to reject both the patriarchal and feminist ideas of the past. Palin is an example of a women who not only stood up to the old boy's club but is also comfortable being a traditional wife and mother. So of course she ticks off the political establishment (right and left) and feminists. The reaction she provokes from those groups is one of her greatest gifts - she exposes their snobbery and intolerance. I don't think she requires or asks for special treatment from anyone but reasonable and less abusive behavior should be expected. The attacks on her and her family are the vilest I have seen.
Black Mamba, glad your back. We missed your poignant comments.
LC
I agree. SP personifies everything (and I mean everything) the liberal left hates.
I'm simply trying to say that men who've done what Robyn has suggested have been overwhelmingly told to "Shut-tha-f-up" for as long as I can remember. Until "women" wish for the status-quo to change nobody benefits from WG's martyring themselves. In fact, I'll go as far to say that it's counter productive. If McCain comes out firing in defence of SP she'll a) be called a damsel in distress; or b) be called the equivalent of an 'Uncle Tom" which is used to describe a black person(sorry African American) who pulls the conservative line.
I'm saying in the REAL WORLD people like SP don't need conservative men to stand-up, they need everyday women to stand-up! Everyday, all day.
I ask again, where are the swarms of everyday women going to bat for SP? Not at my water cooler!
Indiana said "Prominent WG's should keep their powder dry until the time “women” want men to speak-up. JMO".
Amen.
From what I can tell Indiana is speaking pragmatically. From experience. I've been there too. I'd like to hear more woman step up to the plate and do or say something about the unfairness of the political atmosphere we live in. Don't these white women who have walked through life having everything handed to them have white fathers, brothers or husbands? They always seem to equate white men as potential rapist, stupid rednecks or members of the Rockefeller family. Are none of these people from working class families? Poor families?
Indiana, here's an answer to your question about why the majority of women don't speak to the PC crap we see all around us, taken from a comment I made yesterday @ 4:50 p.m. in the "Jail Chewbacca" file (in response to a comment by Me No Dhimmi):
[begin quote]
There's nothing fiercer than an engaged and threatened mother. But, if you've defanged her by forging an alliance between her and the corporate world, she becomes a surrender monkey to the zeitgeist whose only motivation is power and money -- forget about any care or concern for our children.
If a critical mass of women had stayed home to care for their kids during the '80s and '90s, I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of this green/socialist/collectivist crap wouldn't have been able to get a stranglehold on our collective psyches -- because there wouldn't have been a collective psyche. The moonbats would have had to deal with a whole lot of us fierce and engaged moms, one by one.
[end quote]
Indy -- and now I'M really going to get into trouble (Hi Mom!) -- when women who become mothers are taken out of our natural habitat, which is our homes with our children, in order to fuel the fires of industry to make gross profits for corporate business and government, we lose our ability to see -- and I don't mean just with our eyes. I mean to see with our hearts and with our spirits, which are very much attached to kin and hearth. Paradoxically, women can see very far and in great depth from the "small" space of motherhood and home.
Don't underestimate the damage done to women's ability to discern truth, what is real, what is elementally important, by the feminist movement -- it was no "women's" movement. Feminism has been the soul sucker and body snatcher of true femininity -- which has nothing whatsoever to do with fancy lace and fine china. The feminists, with their allies in the chattering classes, did everything in their power to denigrate women as wives and mothers, the flywheels of the family ... which gets me back to something Me No Dhimmi said in his comment: "This triangle of truisms, of father, mother and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it. Gilbert Keith Chesterton. 'No matter how many communes anybody invents, the family always creeps back.'"
I don't know a clearer way of answering your very legitimate question.
Sorry, larben!
It is larben who I am quoting from yesterday's Jail Chewbacca thread.
IH...Real Women stand up for Palin.
Crowley did.
And I'm looking forward to Coulters response.
Talk about a lady-like, fighting back, conservative woman: check out lawyer and REAL Women founder and Vice President, mom, and grandmother, Gwen Landolt.
(She's Canadian too!)
It's too bad WG's have allowed the progressives to both define them and dictate their behavior. I guess I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by strong-willed men and women that were not so easily beaten down.
BTW, wasn't this post about women who have publicly rejected the PC message. The post included an entire page of pictures of these women. There also seems to be plenty of white middle-class women supporting the Tea Party and Palin. I'm not sure that it true that women have abandoned WG's.
'Another vote for Gwen Landolt and REAL Women, bluetech and lookout! They've had their finger on the pc pulse for almost 30 years -- and a fat lot of support they've got from most Canadians ... :-(
batb. Nicely put.
LC Bennett. It's easy to allow people to define you if they deny you work or education. There's no defence to that. Strong willed people people get beatin down and become bitter people when they start working for minimum wage. Especially when the good jobs are going to people with less education and qualifications than they have. Time is your enemy at that point.
So I'm watching the President's press secretary chiding Palin for having notes on the palm of her hand and he shows the grocery list on his.
Thats rich coming from a guy who'se boss can't string together four words uninterrupted by aaah - ummmm and stutter sounds unless he's reading from a teleprompter.
How vacuous this guy is.
batb The progressive Liberal and NDP's soul mates in the Soviet Union attempted to destroy the family for 70 years. The family in Russia and the Ukraine is making a slow comeback. The men in general are slower to embrace this as they were beaten down so much that it will take a generation or two. I see this happening to members of our family still living there.
If you want to see what socialism does to families read The Whisperers by Orlando Figes.
I guess Palin does not understand satire and she complains about telaprompters, what a hypocrite. Palin’s hand job just shows all of us what kind of dullard we are up against, I have not seen this since junior high. She is so perfect for "Fake News". WOW and some call her a leader….please.
Run, Sarah, run.
Thanks for that reference, Ken.
The answer to our societal woes is much simpler than most posit: value and preserve the mom/dad/child(ren) family and women's roles as wives and mothers. The "great experiment," of taking women out of the home en masse, in the name of their "rights" and "power," and calling every and any configuration of adults and children living under one roof "a family" has been a total disaster, mostly for women and children.
The number one cause of child poverty in Canada is family breakdown, a fact the feminists never mention when soliciting more money from the government -- channeled through their organizations, which means that women and children actually benefit very little.
"We have sunk to a depth in which re-statement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men."
-- George Orwell
For the record, Bill O'Reilly said this yesterday when addressing the issue of Sarah Palin's treatment by feminists and the media.
Re Sarah Palin: "When are women going to stand-up, left, right and feminist and say "enough" to those that attack her personally."
I guess I'm not the only one with this view.
