The Sound Of All Hell Breaking Loose: Another Day

Another "gate" - and this one has Cancon!

The claims in the Synthesis Report go back to the IPCC’s report on the global impacts of climate change. It warns that all Africa faces a long-term threat from farmland turning to desert and then says of north Africa, “additional risks that could be exacerbated by climate change include greater erosion, deficiencies in yields from rain-fed agriculture of up to 50% during the 2000-20 period, and reductions in crop growth period (Agoumi, 2003)”.

“Agoumi” refers to a 2003 policy paper written for the International Institute for Sustainable Development, a Canadian think tank. The paper was not peer-reviewed.

Its author was Professor Ali Agoumi, a Moroccan climate expert who looked at the potential impacts of climate change on Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria. His report refers to the risk of “deficient yields from rain-based agriculture of up to 50% during the 2000–20 period”.

These claims refer to other reports prepared by civil servants in each of the three countries as submissions to the UN. These do not appear to have been peer-reviewed either.

EU Referendum;

Not least of the anomalies is that the author, Ali Agoumi, is not a climate scientist, as such. Although he seems to have worked for Morocco's Ministry of Land-use Management, Water and the Environment, he currently seems to make his living from drawing up carbon credit applications under the UN's clean development mechanism. He has worked as consultant for the firm Ecosecurities, a company which specialises in carbon trading.

Emphasis mine.

All this watching these guys flush themselves down the toilet is so cool! All my friends that are (were) warmists have been taking an unmerciful amount of teasing from me lately. I hope they stay on this self destruct mission. I wonder how long it will take for lawsuits to start flying over the false science and numbers these guys have been spouting? This has cost a lot of people big bucks.

The rot goes deep into virtually every government bureaucracy, university, "educational institution", mainstream media, and major corporation. You will find well funded ENGO connections throughout with certain names showing up quite regularly. Michael Crichton's novel, State of Fear was not at all surreal.

Communism as a politically correct pursuit more or less died out between the first and second wave of environmental mass hysteria. By the late 1980s, zealots who no longer felt comfortable sporting the old red star, cloaked it in green. The zeal is still there otherwise they wouldn't have achieved so much. This third wave that we now enjoy is at a crossroads. Public support is low due to the economy and thanks to the blogosphere with all the junk-science exposure of late. This well funded madness will either: retreat temporarily until a potential 4th wave, fall apart (which is unlikely) or rely on the msm to just ignore all the exposure and just keep up the hysteria, lies, fraud, deception, all the while seeking more political power.

Thanks to you, Kate, and the bloggers that you have linked to, the last alternative is becoming less likely.

All I can say is that I remember my 2 year-old son (he's 19 now) flushing my keys down the toilet and thinking, "holy shit!" as it happened.

We had a conversation after that and I explained that if Daddy's keys are lost we can't go to visit friends in the car.

Allegory?

Climate change is the proposition that we never had bad weather in the past, and now that we do, it's our own fault, it's getting worse, and following the advice of third world UN experts will cure the problems, albeit at the cost of our prosperity and political freedoms.

We didn't need climate change in the 1970s because we had Vietnam for most of the same reasons.

Its about time the scientific World got rid of its rot. Just like all the other entitled cons.

[......rely on the msm to just ignore all the exposure and just keep up the hysteria, lies, fraud, deception, all the while seeking more political power.]

No guess there....that is the option they have elected....implacably.

However, slowly ever so slowley Climate-Gate has begun to be reported by the MSM....

BUT!!!

Despite the "Gates-du-jour" the warmers continue their blather......

The Blizzard over the US Mid-Atlantic is already portrayed as evidence of "Climate Change" and preposterous claims of continued warming continue.

It's about time that the West divorced itself from the clutches of the global socialist machine better known as the United Nations, the manufacturer of one worldwide humanitarian scare after another. Locate the head offices in Dubai or some other sandbaked shithole, after all they have all this vacant high rise office space to fill in this global economic downturn.

chris: A commentator here at sda suggested the UN should move to Haiti. She suggested that Haiti could use the money that the billionaires who live in that hole would spend living there and that those $$ could help the country recuperate from the earthquake. She also said, reinforcing her idea, that the UN could do their job without leaving 'home', saving everyone money in the long run. What do you think? I think that this idea should be seriously considered.

sasquatch - the msm is slowly coming to terms with the fact that we, the people, know all climategate; what they still have not realized is that they have lost all credibility on any topic - even the most brainwashed fool hates to be lied to when the fool knows he/she is being lied to by a group that he/she trusted. Liberals/dippers/blocheads are very thin skinned, they hate to be mocked and msm is making them the butt of many jesters! I am enjoying my beer and popcorn and smokes - this is a great show to watch and even participate in: all those serious, droopy eyed fools that were weeping crocodile tears over the Polar Bears and mother Gia look very funny with egg solidified on their mugs.

I can't wait to see footage from Algore's next howler. Should be hot!

"The Day Of The Blogger

I believe this to be a pivotal day. It has been coming for some time, but, as ever, it has taken a seminal piece of writing to bring the necessary focus.

As I said earlier, Matt Ridley’s article could well become a classic in pin-pointing the moment when the democratic internet wrested elements of legitimacy from both the mainstream media and from science itself.

This is truly the Day of the Blogger. It is precisely why I have blogged: “to ensure that the mainstream media cannot exclude critical voices which deserve to be heard.”

It now appears that bloggers are becoming a Fifth Estate, a new, and vital, balance in the realm of politics, correcting and curbing the failures and excesses of the Fourth Estate, the press, which is too frequently subservient to the forces of the State, and of their wealthy, and often ruthless, proprietors.

This is why it is absolutely necessary that the internet remains free and open to all. This is why some newspapers need to apologise, such as The Times for its shameful editorial on “village idiots”. Above all, this is why Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband should be ashamed of, and apologise for, their recent attacks on the critics of climate-change science."

"The global warming guerrillas

Matt Ridley salutes the bloggers who changed the climate debate. While most of Fleet Street kowtowed to the green lobby, online amateurs uncovered the spin and deception that finally cracked the consensus

Journalists are wont to moan that the slow death of newspapers will mean a disastrous loss of investigative reporting. The web is all very well, they say, but who will pay for the tenacious sniffing newshounds to flush out the real story? ‘Climategate’ proves the opposite to be true. It was amateur bloggers who scented the exaggerations, distortions and corruptions in the climate establishment; whereas newspaper reporters, even after the scandal broke, played poodle to their sources.

It was not Private Eye, or the BBC or the News of the World, but a retired electrical engineer in Northampton, David Holland, whose freedom-of-information requests caused the Climategate scientists to break the law, according to the Information Commissioner. By contrast, it has so far attracted little attention that the leaked emails of Climategate include messages from reporters obsequiously seeking ammunition against the sceptics. Other emails have shown reporters meekly changing headlines to suit green activists, or being threatened with ostracism for even reporting the existence of a sceptical angle: ‘Your reportage is very worrisome to most climate scientists,’ one normally alarmist reporter was told last year when he slipped briefly off message. ‘I sense that you are about to experience the “Big Cutoff” from those of us who believe we can no longer trust you, me included.’"

There is probably a ton of these types of reports out there -- spinning various global warming doom scenarios -- waiting for media coverage. What they all have in common is the IPCC and its pronouncements. The IPCC is the bedrock authority for the global warming industry. All these modellers and researchers pumping out this dreck take the IPCC reports as gospel and extrapolate to create possible ramifications in their areas of expertise. Too bad the foundation is crumbling beneath them.

In the AGW body, environmental NGO's are the skeleton that build and support the climate change framework. These people are well-funded and entrenched in our system. Until they are discredited and removed from postions of influence, this insanity will continue. Without the skeleton, the AGW movement will collapse.

"The leak was bad. Then came the death threats

PHOTOGRAPHS of Professor Phil Jones show a handsome, smiling, confident-looking man. Not chubby exactly, but in blooming good health. The man who meets me at the University of East Anglia (UEA) looks grey-skinned and gaunt, as if he has been kept in prison.

In a way, he has. Since November last year he has been a prisoner of public opprobrium and a target of such vilification that was he was almost persuaded to comply with the wishes of those who wanted him dead.

In bare outline, the story of the Climatic Research Unit emails — “Climategate” — is well known."

"The Scientists Involved in Deliberately Deceiving the World on Climate"

Dr. Tim Ball
http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/17364

The "devastated Africa" AGW ploy would have been a little more honest if the real reasons had been added to the mix. Things like communal land ownership, overgrazing goats, poverty stricken powerless populations purposely kept in semi starvation by their rulers to ensure their docility.

"He has worked as consultant for the firm Ecosecurities, a company which specialises in carbon trading."

This is why these people MUST be charged with Racketeering...I did not invest in Carbon, but Billions of dollars have been lost to these gangsters.....There are two issues & types of Conduct to prosecute.

A) The UN/EU political quest to control the economics of the World. They enabled the Gangsters by providing fraudulent Cap & trade; even George Soros said it was to easy to Game (FIX)

B) Cap & Trade Gangsters who have made billions

The elimination of the hidden agenda of the UN/EU should take priority...It is only the charge of "treason" that will shakeup/wakeup the Scientific world to the pitfalls of Global Governance conspiracies.

Bring on the Grand Juries.... Racketeering or Treason

Poor old Africa, consistently ripped off by these profiteering globalist mobsters for generations.

As soon as I saw this crop failure scare was attached to some UN "sustainability" terror cell, I knew the scam was on. It appears the latest trick of the climate change terrorists is to panic 3rd and 2nd world nations dependent on their crop yields with dooms day predictions of crop failures. Then, after the fear mongering has created panic in their leadership, the lobbyists from the corporate ag biz swoop in and lobby the governments to eliminated natural farming and heritage seed systems and go to chemical intensive max production using corporate-owned seeds. Thus putting that entire nation's ag production in jeopardy by lack of diversity and reliance on single source proprietary GMO seeds.

On of the first and largest supporters of both the sustainability movement and AGW was Monsanto. The deeper you dig into these fascist UN initiatives the less hippie-dippy profs and left wing eco-freaks you see and the more trans-global corporate interests you see.

Given the success that blogs and internet have had of sustain th opposition and now publishing the AGW scandals, and how obviously threatens the rice bowls of so many of the great and good...

We can expect a concerted push for censorship, legal liability, "global standards", SLAPP suits, etc.. etc... And it won't it'll be a little here and the little there, slowing closing the vise.

These people never stop, ever.

The science of AGW is crumbling but the quest to make a few bucks and increase government tax revenues will survive. The reasons will change and the solutions repackaged. Instead of fear and guilt, switch to a moderate message and soft sell technique. Admit that rising CO2 may not mean inescapable and unavoidable death while still insisting that carbon 'pollution' needs to be controlled. Perhaps a small tax (barely noticeable), like the proposed banking microtax, on every stage of production and purchase will be proposed. Those funds can then be divvied up among the parasites that have incessantly lobbied for carbon regs - the UN/developing countries, science grant hunters, crony capitalists and government bureaucrats. It may be a smaller initial windfall but, like all taxes, carbon levies can gradually rise to more profitable levels.

"Sell the Sizzle. The New Climate Message
sizzle image

In this guide we argue that climate change is no longer a scientist's problem, it's now a salesman's problem. We call upon government spokespeople, climate campaigners and business advertisers to stop selling visions of hell. Instead we must all create and sell a new vision of a' low carbon heaven'.

This guide is a new approach for us. Most of our previous thought leadership has been very practical - this is stronger, more opinioned and more controversial. There's still a lot of guidance and original research. But we're not pulling our punches."

"The source of information for the diagram was cited as the website of the British wave-energy company Wavegen. Yet the diagram on Wavegen's website contains dramatically different figures for energy potential off Britain and Alaska and in the Bering Sea.

Wavegen said the diagram on its website had not been changed. The company said it was not the original source of the data and had simply reproduced it on its website.

The diagram is widely cited in other literature as having come from a paper on wave energy produced by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering in 1991, along with data from the European Directory of Renewable Energy."

"Rajendra Pachauri raises more eyebrows with raunchy environmental novel

The Indian head of the UN climate change panel, already under fire over errors in a key 2007 report, is raising eyebrows again after publishing a raunchy novel and accepting help in promoting it from BP and the head of India’s biggest gas producer.

The novel by Rajendra Pachauri, who heads the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), is called Return to Almora and follows a character called Sanjay Nath, who, like him, is an environmentalist and former engineer in his sixties.

For a country where sex is rarely discussed in public the book mingles lectures on climate change with descriptions of Sanjay’s sexual encounters, including frequent references to “voluptuous breasts”.

More controversially, it was released in Mumbai by Mukesh Ambani — India’s richest man and the head of the oil and gas conglomerate Reliance Industries, the largest private Indian company.

Reliance has close links to Dr Pachauri’s The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), and has received environmental awards from it, including one for its work on HIV/Aids in 2007. Mr Ambani has also been on the steering committee of TERI’s Centre for Research on Energy Security.

Neither man was available for comment, but sources close to them denied a conflict of interest, saying that they were friends and that Mr Ambani had released the book to highlight climate change. “If they wanted to boost sales, they could have got [the Bollywood star] Shahrukh Khan,” a source close to Mr Ambani told The Times.

For the Delhi launch of the book dinner and drinks were paid for by BP India, a big TERI sponsor.

It is unclear whether Dr Pachauri will profit from the novel. Many environmentalists regard it as unwise for a co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize to accept such personal favours from energy industry giants."
