I wonder if there would have been any coverage had he endorsed the Dem's nominee.

On a lower level I am heartened to see at least the camera folk were there getting footage that would later be dumped. It won't be long before they don't even send anybody out to a story unless it is sanctioned by the White house.

I feel sorry for the many people who grew up believing that the "NEWS" was indeed the news and not somebody's agenda.

Layoffs to hit CBS News next week from the L. A. Times.

"CBS News employees are bracing for a significant round of layoffs that will hit the news division next week, according to multiple sources. The budget tightening is expected to affect every newscast, including “60 Minutes,” the network’s crown jewel, although that show will likely suffer minimal losses.

People familiar with discussions about the cuts inside the news division have heard that the total number who could lose their jobs could reach as high as 100, or 7% of the approximately 1,400-person staff. A news executive disputed that, saying the final figure would be considerably lower."

Obama continues to save the important jobs. Is there nothing he can't do?

Perhaps the Chicagoland MSM big shots are concerned that more balanced coverage would impact the premium rates for their corporate health care plans, if you get my drift.

It's astonishing that such a blockbuster historical event was ignored by the Big Old Media.

What's the matter, couldn't they find anything to use to "discredit" Mr. Walesa somehow?

They'd find it very difficult to do that, including the labor unions. After all, Walesa was a workers' rights crusader and hero, as well as an anti-Communism crusader and hero.

I suspect that they chose to ignore, and to hold back their SEIU Purpleshirt terrorists, as then they'd be opening up a can of worms and being asked by folks like you and me "How come Communist countries don't allow unions, but non-Communist countries do? If Obama socializes America, why wouldn't he, too, abolish unions, as they're illegal in socialist-totalitarian countries?"

Nothing to see here, obviously. Much more important to tell us which celebrities, um, claim to swing between sausages and tacos.

Hmmm.... Lech Walesa as I recall ... was more interested in getting the Russians and their puppets out of the Polish realm ... than he was in diminishing communism or socialism.

Hoever, credit where credit is due... his crusade against the state in Poland did result in real democracy and a much freer economy.

As for the MSM .... they are completely in the tank for the Democrat machine.

I lived in Germany for three years. I certainly formed an opinion about German politics but I never expressed an opinion. As a foreigner, it was none of my damned business.

Why is it that ferners feel they have a DUTY to take interest in, express preferences, and even participate in our elections? I'm sure they link it to our disproportionate imperialistic influence over their lives, but in reality a German, Frog, Pole, Czech or Norwegian only gains from a strong America despite their socialist bluster.
