Sunday we all got a chuckle (or a scare depending on your world view) from the Superbowl Green Police commercial. Some thought it was fine satire, others thought it hit a little too close to reality.

After watching this report about Cathy Zoi in the Obama administration, perhaps the “too close to reality” worry has merit. In this report from John Stossel, she visualizes and vocalizes the need for “swat teams” in neighborhoods to enforce energy efficiency retrofits for homes and businesses.

Zoi, formerly of the “Alliance for Climate Protection”, formerly Al Gore’s point person for his “Repower America” nationwide campaign, now heads up Obama’s DOE energy efficiency/renewables division.

I'm glad that I watched this video of Lord Moncton all the way through.
I have to say that previously, still pictures of him gave me unease as a spokeman and I wasn't sure why.
Then it hit me "Marty Feldman."

Yep, the Climategate deniers refer to him as that googley-eyed extremist. But listening to the guy talk for 5 minutes will change your opinion both of him and his detractors.

That was a very interesting story about Pachauri.

Well said. 'Couldn't agree more, which is why, of course, the Librano$ were hell bent in the '80s and '90s -- and still are via Count Iggula, their silver-spoon-in-mouth megaphone -- for getting moms out of their homes to put in a full work day while putting their kids in state-run daycare.

My husband and I weren't buying their "women's rights" meme, as tough a financial go as it was for our having to live on my husband's income (he's in "a helping profession"). The Librano$ penalized one-income families with one parent home to care for their kids, because they a) wanted to tax "working" moms and didn't get a penny from us stay-at-homers and b) wanted us to be so busy running around like chickens with our heads cut off, trying to balance home and work, that we wouldn't notice their socialist, collectivist takeover or how unhealthy/damaging institutional daycare often was for our children, let alone the future of Western Civilization.

There's nothing fiercer than an engaged and threatened mother. But, if you've defanged her by forging an alliance between her and the corporate world, she becomes a surrender monkey to the zeitgeist whose only motivation is power and money -- forget about any care or concern for our children.

If a critical mass of women had stayed home to care for their kids during the '80s and '90s, I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of this green/socialist/collectivist crap wouldn't have been able to get a stranglehold on our collective psyches -- because there wouldn't have been a collective psyche. The moonbats would have had to deal with a whole lot of us fierce and engaged moms, one by one.

Daycare: In 1976 the Sask NDP executive Council promised universal Government Daycare in Saskatchewan. The theory & policy was to eliminate private daycare (they did) and force parents to form NDP run Coops. The NDP knew that Daycare was a election Carrot that got renewed every 4 years (children grow up & an new bunch of mothers get involved just in time for the Next Election...

The NDP never delivered universal Government daycare and they never will.. It's a recruiting tool for socialist methodology

Well said Batb. My wife was a stay at home, and Holy Smokes was she ever under a lot of pressure to swing a wrench, or "man" a phone.

Bless her heart she resisted to the great benefit of our children. Pretty sure our eldest would not have become an Olympian, nor would her sister have found her stride without Mom's "sacrifice".

Recruiting children? ...

Sadly I know young parents who are volunteering their kids to join the "Cause"..
