Sad... This will barely be mentioned elsewhere in what passes for news in the modern PC world. Unfortunately ,these deaths will also be used to pump up the death toll of George W's 'invasive occupation' of Iraq. Mass graves from the Saddam era are routinely added to the list of American 'atrocities',in most cases the numbers are multiplied to account for the graves not found. That is how the tolerant progressives arrive at their '3 million dead in Iraq' numbers.

No doubt Taliban Jack, if he even hears about it, will find some way to pin this on W.

Sorry Kate, but Muslims killing Muslims doesn't count, even if it's children. It only matters when it can be blamed on Dubya.

You miss Dubya?

Hmpfff. No doubt the leftwing peaceniks and screeching howler monkeys would reply that they miss Saddam too.

It must suck to be them, HAR HAR HAR!!!

Remember when the Liberal cabinet ministers went over to visit Saddam? Remember how they gushed about the wonderful hospitality and the nice people they met in Saddam's palace?

Even back then I knew what Saddam was. Imagine how I felt as a Canadian when I saw "the natural governing party" sucking around one of history's great monsters.

Miss W?

Well here you go....."Islam is awesome, Muslims are a blast". "Keep an eye open at the mall for religion hijackers". "If Islam owned a big enough chunk of the west, maybe they wouldn't hurt us (secret ports deal)"

There that should hold you.

abcd..you didn't watch Fidel Castro as an "honorary pallbearer" at Pierre Trudeau's funeral? Castro is godfather to Trudeau offspring.

Dig Saddam up and hang him again.
With a rope made of pig entrails.

Saddam era Sunni settlers should have been immediately expelled from historically Kurdish majority areas in the north and similar Shia areas in the south soon after the defeat of the Baath regime. It would have been a simple matter for the American commanders to have provided some of their own and commandeered transport and visited the Kurdish and Shia leadership to obtain initial lists of who were the worst who should go and which few could stay. By the time the dust settled it would have been a done deal with Sunnis cleared out back to camps around Tikrit, before the incompetents and saboteurs in Washington had a chance to interfere.

Years of terrorism, casualties, and misery on all sides could have been avoided and the Baathists taught a lesson they would not soon forget. Instead, everything spiraled down into year in, year out, incompetence and timeserving inaction on a grand scale with the unlucky grunts trying to stay alive while left to hold it all together.

kelly, Fidel's almost a run of the mill latino dictator. He wasn't in Saddam's league when it comes to scale and creativity in raping, torturing and murdering. But, back to the Liberals, don't doubt for a minute that we have a media campaign coming. Newspapers, television and magazines are going to build young Trudeau up to celebrity status. Canadian women are going to have their loins stirred and they're going to go 90% Liberal. Justin will be Prime Minister, you heard it here first.

Anyone not missing W. hasn't been paying attention.

And I've got the sticker to prove it.

Even President Oblamebush misses W. All that is wrong with the world is starting to be blamed on President Oblamebush.

Off topic, but the G&M has a poll that is just asking to go horribly wrong.

The question is:

Is the size of Canadian government too large, too small or about right?

The Saddam regime was a weapon of mass destruction. Bush is a hero.

John, the poll at G & M now shows over 60% think government is too large.

Ken (Kulak)....yeah the poll shows over 60% think government is too large but I don't think the CBC crowd has found out about it yet. They are busy arguing about an iceberg that broke off Antarctica and howling about how the world is coming to an end.

You know who really, really, -really- misses W?

The Democrats.

"Fifty-six percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday say they think the federal government's become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens."

politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/02/26/cnn-poll-majority-says-government-a-threat-to-citizens-rights/?fbid=AKJWU-wALim

And you know what? They are going to miss W even more in November this year. A LOT more.

Sorry, still not missing that asshole. I'd rather watch Avatar again than see Dumb W back in charge.
The only moral basis for government, in foreign policy and otherwise, is to protect the rights of its citizens. This mass grave, while tragic, is irrelevant to the rights of Americans, as the rest of W's foreign policy was at its best.

I'd rather watch Avatar

In other words Cytotoxic is a huge Avat-er I mean Oblamebush fan.

I miss Goldwater even more.

Cytotoxic: I would suggest you read upmon goldwater. While he was a conservative he was also very much a flake - full of brave bluster in public he was often nowhere to he found when it got serious in the senate. He was a far less effective politician as a result.

Btw - I miss bob dole and scoop Jackson.

This is just another in a large lot of mass graves, filled with Shiite resisters, after the Gulf War that were already uncovered in Iraq and the news of those others was embargoed by the MSM.

Still though, none of the mass graves that were supposed to exist in the Balkans that were the reason our troops and planes were there has ever been discovered or publicized.

The myth, fueled by the MSM, that mass graves ever existed in the Balkans still persists but they embargo news of real ones in Iraq.

MSM embargoing? What are you talking about? I've seen those very reports at MSNBC.

Flake GW may have been, I'll take that over W any day.
