Daisy ? Daisy ? Wasn't there some so called liberal strategist who called his cat that, or something? Or his logo?
Can't remember his name, but "worked" for adscamers and advised Ontario premiers on how to turn the industrial heartland into a have not? And bought into the IPCC scam?
Carly Fiorina is one smart lady...if she had not fell victim to the female need to gossip about certain achievements.. she would still be the CEO of HP..
Carly will fight "Miss Daisy with an attitude, get to the back of the Bus"(AKA Baa Baa Boxer) with every thing in the book…she will beat Boxer
Good job, Kate. Now Kinsella's gonna rename his consulting firm from Daisy to something, er, sheepish. That, and he'll probably start calling himself "The Sheep of Darkness".
The only thing better would have been some loser in a cat suit insulting a Chinese restaurant, or some pointy headed aristocrat telling a 3rd world country we can help them kill their kids.
Phillip.. you really need to read up on HP under Carly's watch. She damn near ran that company into the ground. The rank-and-file workers were literally cheering and throwing parties when the news of her "departure" (she jumped before she was pushed) was announced.
Her vs Boxer in a Senate race is one of those "don't choose sides, pray for an asteroid" things.
Absolutely true, but I wonder if getting out before she was pushed out was just a PR stunt - get the severannce package agreed and then pretend to resign - saves face and all that.
And right on with the asteroid comment. I think it really is one of those situations.
I find the "Daisy" ad to be cloying in a profoundly disgusting way. It's a violation that's doubly violating because it vaunts its message in the name of decency and love. Bleuhh. Horrifying.
The Demon Sheep ad, on the other hand, is funny. No one can convince me that it's efficacy isn't due in part to it being a take-off on political ads themselves. I think it's clever, because it manages to own its subject matter (criticism of the opponent) while being entirely disarming about it - witness the Terry Gilliam-esque tumbling, rigid sheep and the crude, Hannibal Lecter prop of a sheep head.
Am I wrong about that? Is it not subductedly satirical, and deliberately over-the-top in a winking, self-aware way? Anyone have an opinion on that?
Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

mailserver in Europe)
I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

send someone traffic,
you send someone TRAFFIC.

That is the silliest video I've seen in a long time. The Carly one not the LBJ one.
Dude crawling around on all fours in a sheep skin with crazy red eyes... how much does that job pay, you have to ask yourself.
Her other video was pretty good: "Don't call me Ma'am"
Already!
Hitler Is Informed About the Demonsheep Campaign Ad

Daisy ... mmmm, tap tap. Maybe he died also.
Carly Fiorina is one smart lady...if she had not fell victim to the female need to gossip about certain achievements.. she would still be the CEO of HP..

Its Name is Legion
The ad,s message was good, the delivery a litlle ... well...
Will this ad make a point with voters? Will they remember it come voting day? You betcha your woolie undies it will!
Is this a bellwether of campaigns to come?
Good job, Kate. Now Kinsella's gonna rename his consulting firm from Daisy to something, er, sheepish. That, and he'll probably start calling himself "The Sheep of Darkness".
Hilarious!! Best ad I've seen yet. Hides behind a tree. Amazing!
A dyed in the wool lefty, tax and spend politician.
I think it's a great ad. It will be remembered, and it's a very effective attack.
Just another dyed in the wool lefty, tax and spend politician.
well...clearly it should have been a black sheep......but THAT would have been incendiary stuff on a certain level...
Interesting -- the shallow focus on the Ad's reflex appeal and not the message or the metaphor.
Maybe they are wasting their time appealing to sheep.
The only thing better would have been some loser in a cat suit insulting a Chinese restaurant, or some pointy headed aristocrat telling a 3rd world country we can help them kill their kids.
Change the named references to the runt Flaherty at faux-Con central - it'd fit perfectly.
Welcome to your tax hikes in 2014 Canada. The runt will have his full pension locked by then :-)

Well, if, as they say, a demon is a fallen angel, perhaps we should call that critter Ram Emmanuel...

Phillip says "Carly Fiorina is one smart lady".
You cannot be serious? Her achievements, for what they were, are grossly exaggerated. And her terrible legacy at HP speaks for itself.
She is washed up and looking for something to do.
Worse, she is a really just a liberal in conservative clothing.
I couldn't agree more with Ian's post. Fiorina vs. Boxer is just bad vs. bad, so pray for asteroids.
On YouTube comments "This ad is as good as Carly Fiorina's tenure at HP."
Exactly right.
Black Sheep
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0779982/
"An experiment in genetic engineering turns harmless sheep into blood-thirsty killers that terrorize a sprawling New Zealand farm."
If the man did all that, what's the problem with the video?
I find the "Daisy" ad to be cloying in a profoundly disgusting way. It's a violation that's doubly violating because it vaunts its message in the name of decency and love. Bleuhh. Horrifying.

"Hannibal Lecter prop of a sheep head."
I did NOT approve this message.
Also on You Tube, someone has already synced up the ad to a Pink Floyd song. (too lazy to find the link)
