If 'Saturday Night Live' was still producing skits like this maybe NBC wouldn't be bathing in red ink. Their funny bones go numb when its a Democrat/liberal/progressive.
Davers6 - The new NBC probably couldn't make money on a reborn SNL if it starred Barack Obama playing himself. They even expect to lose money on the Winter Olympics. As the woman on the Tide commercial says, "Another First"
Once they start laughing at you, instead of with you, you're no longer considered a serious politician or a super-duper agent of hope & change. Time to exit stage left!
I quite enjoyed that. I suspect that presenting the right-wing view on what might be considered an left-wing dominated venue like theatre makes such satire all the more irritating to lefties.

Not necessarily true. Artists tend to be anti establishment. For example, artists from the former USSR typically were right-wing individualist thinkers(I've been told). I suspect if you spoke to the arts community in China for example you might find the same, but I have no way of verifying this without research I'm too lazy to do.
Hey, whatever this link is, it's a kind of link that my browser won't load. I wonder if anyone else had this problem and solved it? I am somewhat of a computer Luddite so make it simple for my linear brain.
Where do I buy a ticket for Klavan's debut show? It's just so darned satisfying to see such an intelligent guy dissing the ee-vil leftards using a keen sense of humour.

You are oversimplifying things(i think). By all reasonable measures the war in Iraq has been won. Moving hastily out of Iraq can only lead to regression, so I'll suggest an accelerated timetable for withdrawal, because of politics, is a bad decision regardless of political stripe. This is where “error on the side of caution” should be gospel.
Consider this, troops from the USA are still in and have been in Europe since WW2. Do you deny the allies won this war also?
As proved by Biden taking credit for it.
"I am very optimistic about — about Iraq. I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration"
Ya - saw clips of Biden taking credit for all the good things that are going on in Iraq. When Joe opens his mouth there has to be quite a whiff of gin comin out of there.
As much as I think Chairman O is not the guy who should have his hand on the "switch" - when it comes to a choice between Joe and O - I think I'd pick "O".

so the question stands, if the war is 'won', why the numbers still there? and when exactly was it 'won'? was that the carrier deck 'mission accomplished' photo-op thing?

in the 1980's (40 years after the end of general hostilities) the USA had entire army of 300,000 plus airforce in FRG. The UK had the corps sized (50,000) BAOR (British Army Of the Rhine). Canada had a brigade plus RCAF atts.
Five years after general hostilities Canada had a division (15,000) plus RCN & RCAF atts with the USA and UK and French occupation troops.
The victors MUST maintain an occupation force in case they need to reinfoce the learning experience.
Rule #5
Ridicule is a powerful weapon.
I expect the hard left to follow their own rules as the American President continues to fail to deliver on the many promises made to them, and I expect a desperate legacy media will be unable to resist propagating the disappointment.
But then, who is left watching the Democrat-Media complex?

That Klavan guy is a great artist / satirist.
Unusual to be artistic and rightly correct at the same time.

georgie isnt too curious. of course the Soviets had a good sized army sitting in occupied territory as well.
I was frankly surprised to meet Ruskies in East Berlin in 1980, armed and on duty. not East Germans. Ruskies.

That was great. Although it should be noted that Fox also inserts its opinion into news too. Deal.

Thanks Woodporter, I was able to view the link you provided. Still don't know why I get the blank screen.
Yeah, it was pretty good.
He missed "O--klahoma, you can kiss my royal derriere" and "How do you solve a problem like Joe Biden?"
Fox provides the public with "equal time" view of events...something dearly needed in Canada!
The CRTC should be dissolved immediately.
