Y2Kyoto: Sponsored In Part By Greenpeace

Donna Laframboise asks, "Where does Greenpeace stop and the IPCC begin? Sometimes it's difficult to tell."

The idea that 2,500 "scientific expert reviewers" provided feedback about [the IPCC's 4th Assessment Report] during its pre-publication phase sounds awesome. But many of those people aren't scientists at all. They're professional activists in the employ of environmental organizations.

The expert reviewers who had input into just one portion (Working Group III) of the IPCC report are listed in this 8-page PDF. They include three Greenpeace employees, two Friends of the Earth representatives, two Climate Action Network reps, and a person each from activist organizations WWF International, Environmental Defense, and the David Suzuki Foundation.

Read it all, plus this one on the WWF if you missed it earlier.

" Ken Smith (17:54:52) :

Here is a great clip from an interview panel featuring Pachauri and the head o the California Air Resources Board (June 2008). It’s quite revealing to weigh Pachauri’s claims and his rhetoric against what has been learned in the past few months. Here’s a sample:

PACHAURI: “The point is you have a transparent, comprehensive, extremely widespread process involving the best scientists and experts from all over the world telling you that climate change is for real.

“And this is not something that the authors working on IPCC reports have invented. This is based on peer-reviewed literature. That’s the manner in which the IPCC functions.

“We don’t pick up a newspaper article and based on that come up with our findings. This is on the basis of very rigorous research which has stood the test of scrutiny through peer reviews.

Turns out Obama et al in the White House have included about$700 Billion in Cap & Trade revenues in their budget projections.

As the IPCC fraud unravels, as Barry's political bank account goes into over draft, it is very, very unlikely the Dumbocrats can scam or bribe Cap & Trade legislation into law.

So the Obama administration will be looking at an additional deficit load equal to the "lost" revenue . . . should put the USA over the $2 TRILLION annual deficit.

That should make Americans want to support CO2 reductions.

please peaple check out an interview with canadian climatologist dr tim ball on alex jones info wars.alex is trying to awaken everybody.the left right paradim is as much a fraud as climate gate.look at this stuff with an open mind fact check yourself there is a bigger picture hiding in plain sight.

Perhaps its time to open up a can of this on the global warming fraud freaks.

Great work as always Kate as I sit here in Winterpeg at -30c.
Hope you don't mind but I referred to your site in a comment on Rex Murphy's excellent article here -http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2010/01/30/rex-murphy-so-whatever-happened-to-copenhagen.aspx

As you say I think Y2Kyoto will soon be toast thanks to hard work by you and others on the net but not before billions are spent on cap and trade which is unbelievable.

"U.S. stares down icy, snowy weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A thick band of heavy snow, freezing rain and cold temperatures was spreading across southeastern states early Saturday, delivering a messy weekend of slick roads, power outages and prime sledding for kids out of school.

Nearly a foot of snow had fallen in parts of western North Carolina, and nearly 10 inches had fallen in some areas north of Memphis, Tenn. In Nashville, about a half-foot of snow was on the ground, the National Weather Service reported.

Jake Guthrie, manager of a Nashville Ace Hardware, pasted a “Sold Out of Sleds” sign at the entrance of the store after selling “several hundred” in the last two days.

Staff had to tell a steady stream of callers that they wouldn’t have any more sleds until Friday.

“But winter’s not over yet,” Guthrie said."

The scary part is how much influence these whack-jobs have on government. For example, Starlink "GM" corn was prohibited by Ag Canada on the say so by Green P*ss; not on actual scientific findings.
For a very long time, no corn was allowed in without a USDA certificate proving that there was no possible way the corn/corn product could contain any Starlink DNA. And, it was because Green P*ss told the government to ban it. The letters were posted on the CFIA website and the (then and Lieberal) Ag Minister whole heartedly agreed.

I never really thought there was any difference between the IPCC, greenpeace, PETA, WWF, etc.

They are just variations of the same smarmy crowd who wants us to be ashamed of being alive. I'll also throw in a couple of Canadian political parties in that cess-pool too.

Kate! I take it all back. AGW seems to be happening it is now only -28c here in Winterpeg.

My take:

Excerpt:

Well, at least they don't work for "Big Oil", as far as we know. In that case, they'd then have "zero credibility" because they're "not independent, not impartial, not unbiased, and are obviously motivated by career furtherance prospects". Right? Hmm...

Just more damning reason for reasonable doubt and to laugh in the faces of those who tell us, breathlessly, that "The End is Nigh.... Repent Now!". Now we know where all the lunatics went after the asylum was down.

"Peer reviewed" apparently means "reviewed by people who pee". Big deal. Everybody and their dog pees. Everybody is therefore a "peer" to everybody. That doesn't mean that they're "unscrupulously scientific professional experts who would never just go along with something for just any reason".

Hey, guess what also? Kate's world-renowned, award-winning champion (wow-that sounds impressive, doesn't it?) miniature schnauzers are also "peers", ie. they pee. They could just as credibly review the IPCC Report and apply an inky pawprint to indicate that they actually read, analyzed, understood and agreed with the document. Smart little doggies, eh?

Don't worry, be happy and go for a fun weekend drive in your circa '70 Trans Am 455 SD. You can, simultaneously, drive the "progressive" lunatics more loony just for the fun of it.

And don't forget that it doesn't matter if there'll be an earth a hundred years from now. Chances are great that we won't be there then to realize it anyway. All good things eventually end, after all, eh!

Look/read the words/phrases MSM is using. Basic English.

Basic words include: "THE lies", "abuse of power", etc.

This reporter, Donald MacLeod, was a true disciple of Gaia's Elmer Gantry, aka Al Gore's Weather (AGW).

THE lies, the untruths, the paranoid statements, the political point-scoring, the abuse of power, the secretive communications and the cover-ups - not to mention the huge cost to the taxpayer.

No, I don't mean the Chilcot Inquiry.

Though let's face it, that liars' convention should have been sponsored by Dulux given the amount of whitewash being used.

Nope. On this occasion my ire has been drawn to the rather inconvenient truths that have been uncovered, or should I say forcibly squeezed, from those whose main purpose in life has been to hysterically overstate the facts on the supposed threat of man-made global warming."

"Cold keeps Minn. wind turbines from spinning

Wind turbines placed in cities across Minnesota to generate power aren't working because of the cold temperatures.

The Minnesota Municipal Power Association bought 11 turbines for $300,000 each from a company in Palm Springs, Calif.

Special hydraulic fluid designed for colder temperatures was used in the turbines, but it's not working, so neither are the turbines.

There is a plan to heat the fluid, but officials must find a contractor to do the work."

Alex Jones?.......Careful who you 'sleep' with, he's a troofer. He gives a much credibility to our side of the story, as Osama bin Raghead gives to AlGoracle

As for the revelations out of the IPCC 'reports'?

Science by press-release, speculation, and POV. Using Greenpeace, WWF, etc is abysmal. These are propaganda machines, not fact based organizations. What's next, PETA and Earth First as 'scientific experts?

Who needs the scientific method, when all you need is faith and a means to an end!

Shame on PM Harper/Minister Prentice.

They have bought into the AGW Fraud.

Did you vote Conservative for this?

The words are unequivocal: Canada is engaged/a partner in the UN’s AGW Fraud.

“Environment Minister announces Canada’s greenhouse gas reduction target

Canada is doing its part to live up to the new Copenhagen Accord.

Speaking in Calgary on Saturday morning, Environment Minister Jim Prentice announced Canada will aim to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 17 per cent by 2020 from 2005 levels.

Prentice says Canada has registered that target with the United Nations.

Following the Copenhagen Climate Conference, all countries had to file their reduction targets by the deadline of January 31, 2010.

Prentice says it was the federal government’s plan all along to align its position with that of the United States.

He indicted the challenge now, is to move forward and convert the agreement in principle to a full-binding legal treaty.

Although reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 17 per cent will be challenging, Prentice said he believes it is attainable.”

Please leave a link so we can visit and see what you have to offer as a means of waking us up to the threat of truthers like Alex.

I am a long time supporter of the tories but after they signed on to the Copenhagen targets I will no longer be giving them any financial support.
I would rather not vote than support a party that supports the AGW horsh*t.

"Revealed: the racy novel written by the world's most powerful climate scientist

As the UN's climate change chief, Dr Rajendra Pachauri has spent his career writing only the driest of academic articles. But the latest offering from the chairman of the UN’s climate change panel is an altogether racier tome.

Some might even suggest Dr Pachauri’s first novel is frankly smutty.

Return to Almora, published in Dr Pachauri’s native India earlier this month, tells the story of Sanjay Nath, an academic in his 60s reminiscing on his "spiritual journey" through India, Peru and the US.

On the way he encounters, among others, Shirley MacLaine, the actress, who appears as a character in the book. While relations between Sanjay and MacLaine remain platonic, he enjoys sex – a lot of sex – with a lot of women.

In breathless prose that risks making Dr Pachauri, who will be 70 this year, a laughing stock among the serious, high-minded scientists and world leaders with whom he mixes, he details sexual encounter after sexual encounter.

...Other passages in the novel involve group sex and more risqué sexual practices.

The novel was launched amid much fanfare with Bollywood stars and wealthy industrialists in attendance, a reflection of Dr Pachauri’s esteemed status in the country.

He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, on behalf of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

In the acknowledgement of his novel, Dr Pachauri admits to writing the book while flying around the world between meetings as IPCC chairman or else in his capacity as head of a research institute in Delhi.

But with calls for him to resign over academic blunders in the reports he presides over, some critics will question whether he should have devoted more time to scrutinising the science behind the reports.

"IPCC now in Bizzaroland: Pachauri releases “smutty” romance novel
30 01 2010

Just when you think things can’t get any more bizarre with the IPCC, having just learned that the IPPC 2007 report used magazine articles for references, Pachauri provides comedy gold. According to the UK Telegraph, he’s just released what they describe as a “smutty” romance novel, Return to Almora laced with steamy sex, lots of sex. Here’s the good doctor, grinning like a Chesire cat at his book launch in India on January 10th.

"UN climate change panel based claims on student dissertation and magazine article

The United Nations' expert panel on climate change based claims about ice disappearing from the world's mountain tops on a student's dissertation and an article in a mountaineering magazine.

The revelation will cause fresh embarrassment for the The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which had to issue a humiliating apology earlier this month over inaccurate statements about global warming.

The IPCC's remit is to provide an authoritative assessment of scientific evidence on climate change.

In its most recent report, it stated that observed reductions in mountain ice in the Andes, Alps and Africa was being caused by global warming, citing two papers as the source of the information.

However, it can be revealed that one of the sources quoted was a feature article published in a popular magazine for climbers which was based on anecdotal evidence from mountaineers about the changes they were witnessing on the mountainsides around them.

The other was a dissertation written by a geography student, studying for the equivalent of a master's degree, at the University of Berne in Switzerland that quoted interviews with mountain guides in the Alps.

The revelations, uncovered by The Sunday Telegraph, have raised fresh questions about the quality of the information contained in the report, which was published in 2007."

Before you set your hair on fire, understand my point, re:troofers.

Look into what they are really saying, and you will understand these people are fools. And Alex Jones leads the pack.......just sayin.......you didn't read my post thoroughly....can you try to imagine what the warmongers are thinking, with OBL 'on their side'? Hilarious......

There's footage out there, with Jones' legion, walking around Ground Zero, on anniversary day, preaching his nonsense, loudly. Keep in mind, you have widows, family, friends, etc, of those who perished on that fateful day in the immediate vicinity.

Sorry, but, that tainted any message he may give at any time.

He's just another obnoxious, self-promoting, media windbag. Sometimes he's right, sometimes he's wrong, but his volume is always on 10.

Oh, and nice ad hom attack. I dare -you- to scratch the surface, and learn a bit more about Jones. His history didn't begin 2 years ago.....If David Duke came out, and said he was anti-AGW, etc, would that promote an all embracing group hug welcoming, or would you think twice, given his dubious background?

G.S.M.
