I love the Bengals! Maybe next year! oh wait you meant the animal bengals...well I'm sure they would make nice comfy rugs to lie on while I watch the real Bengals next year!http://www.bengals.com/
For the most part, the "Tiger Team" appears to be mostly those on the chunky side. The tigers will do well. Bon Apatite!
Kate, that is a classic.
Talk about a loaded question. "
What species are affected by climate change-related threats?
Tigers
Monarch Butterflies
Magellanic Penguins
All of the above." How about the W.W.F.
Yep those tigers/polar bears were just standing there minding their own business when suddenly SPLOOSH! Surrounded by water!
Back in the late 70's while living near Toronto, I read a headline in the Toronto Sun....."Tigers 13, Indians 4". The story went on to describe how tigers had gone into a village and eaten 13 people while the indians fought back by killing 4 tigers.
Could you imagine the uproar if that headline were to appear today?

Brilliant !!!!!
The bedwetters are attempting fairness here, IMO. Afterall it is the Year of the Tiger.
I heard that Puffins are on the endangered list too.
Hey you can "Swim with the Big Cats".
Where is WK with some inappropriate comment about catsmeat...?

Can't imagine them drinking warm Coke and playing with monkeys .... (warm Pepsi ? .... yuk!)
Somewhere I once read that tigers are the only species of wild cat that enjoys swimming. Are we really doing them a favour by trying to dry up their natural habitat?
Besides, I doubt very much that the ancient caveman was all too anxious when the sabre-tooth tiger stopped showing up. Where can I send money to help bring that bad boy back?
Bangladeshis??? Theyyyyyyyyy're GREAT!!!
This ad is just an early draft of the next IPCC assessment report.
It would be funnier if I wasn't certain they think tigers eating Bangladeshis is a -good- thing.
"A dog is a pig is a rat is a boy!!!" right? They all look the same in Tony the Tiger's poo.
I used to feel sorry for big cats in zoos, because we are supposed to feel sorry for them. We've been told to do so since infancy.
Until I went to the zoo once. Saw the panther watch a happy little kid run by, saw him set himself up and charge the kid. Hit the bars, he did. Made quite an impression on me, to be sure. What I see as a happy little kid, Mr. Panther sees as a tasty snack.
If I'd had a rifle on me right then I'd have put a round into Mr. Panther, just to remind him who's Top Predator on this mudball.
I've contacted Loblaw to find out how much they are donating to WWF from their 5¢ bag charge.
From the WWF annual report 08:
"In FY08, with increased income from operations, a healthy balance sheet and continued revenue source diversification, WWF directed over $160 million to conservation.
"Operating revenues grew to $196.5 million, a 22 percent increase over the FY07 total of $160.8 million. This growth was made possible through the contributions of our many valued supporters. We received $85.7 million from our members and donors, $26.1 million in government awards, $19.3 million from foundations, $14.6 million from other WWF Network organizations, $10.1 million from corporations, and $40.7 million in other revenues, including in-kind contributions of media and equipment important to advancing our work."
Their numbers are not dwindling,it is just that you don't see the ones in rehab.
Every kid must already have their fundraiser toy poley bear, time to switch animals and sell, sell, sell.

Interesting...I went through their "irrefutable proof" of climate change. What I saw was:
1. misleading pictures
2. changes that have been happening since far before supposed "anthropogenic" warmth was supposed to kick in
3. pictures of human stupidity attributed to climate (any katrina/fire pics)
4. natural variability
It is no wonder the IPCC pulls so heavily from the WWF (World We'd like to F*** up). I suppose birds of a feather stick together.
Tigers ARE endangered! I haven't seen one here in B.C. in YEARS!
And I'm out in the forest hunting every Fall.
I preferred "Put a Tiger in Your Tank!" Somehow, CO2 spewing gasoline and tigers go nicely together.
Coming up next on YouTube: Video of tigers free-falling onto the streets of New York...try to imagine a mental picture of a sundae made with Tiger-Tiger & Cherry Garcia ice cream...
Polar bears will hunt people as readily as vice versa. I've had Inuit tell me stories of them opening their front door to find a polar bear waiting to feed. Avon calling, not.
I don't care how cute Tribbles are! Capt. Kirk should have never allowed them on the ship in the first place. Even if the ship is only good for "hauling garbage".
Oh...it's "Trouble with Tigers", my bad:(
re Tigers in the wild...in wet places....
Remember that scene from "Apocolypse Now"....
"don't get out of the boat."
In reality that happened a lot....the delta seemed full of them.
No worries....nothing an M60 couldn't cure.....
Oh...forgive me...
Forgot...
That Poley Bear pic....
The water indicates down-wash from the helo the WWF was using to torment the fuzzy-wuzzie.....
"Under the bus with you Poley Bear! It's the Year of the Tiger!"
Maybe we can relocate the tigers to Toronto?
It’s hard to tell who is more screwed in the head. The World Whack-job Fund or Green-P*ss.
They point at perfectly natural occurring phenomena and scream that it’s absolute proof of whatever BS cause they are pushing.
WWF possible point of view:
----
• Climate Warming is called 'Climate Change', but everyone knows it is Global Warming we are talking about
• Human activities = 'Climate Change'
• More humans = more human activities
• One human = negative conservation value
• Many humans = highly negative conservation value
• One tiger = valuable conservation subject
• Value of one tiger > value of one human
• Sea level rise = fewer humans = lower environmental impact
• Sea level rise = fewer tigers = catastrophic environmental effect
Therefore although sea level rise might be good in some respects, the loss of tiger habitat far outweighs the good effect and thus the WWF need to prevent the seas rising. WWF thus needs large donations to prevent the seas rising. This is why WWF have been providing reports that the IPCC is using to claim 'Climate Change'.
----
My comment: Of course this ignores the amount the sea is rising and also as if the tigers are anchored to the sea bed by chains and unable to seek dry land, implied by the picture that is being used.
By the year 2020, Bangladesh is estimated to have another 20 million mouths to feed[1], purely due to natural population increase (even though their population increase rate is dropping). If 20 million people are in danger now from (claimed) rising sea levels[2], where are the extra 20 million people going to go if there isn't enough space for Bangladesh to accommodate the 20 million who are supposed to be at risk now? Even if there is no significant sea level rise, how are the extra 20 million people going to be catered for and housed? What is the solution for this? Is a solution to prevent 20 million more humans competing for the tiger habitat? How far would the WWF get if they proposed human culling (i.e. mass murder) to accomplish this? How much of the real tiger problem is Bangladesh due to humans competing for the land that tigers are using instead of 'rising seas'?

I'm losin' weight, and lookin' kind of pale! It looks like I've got a tiger by the tail!
