Danny Glover: “When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?”
Hey, if warming can cause a tsunami, it can cause an earthquake! Oh, wait....

"SDA - Kate - remove this post, not evan should be debated. Wrong just wrong!!!!"
As much as it troubles me to expose my readers to the rancid opinions of the Hollywood elite, had you tuned in to even the most local of local radio stations yesterday, you will understand how critically important it is to focus world attention on the most trivial of opinions at a time like this.

Is this a socialist movie star on drugs skit or what? In nautical terms it would be that he has slipped his moorings.
The stupidity shown by these people is not even worth a comment. They just prove that dumb can be cured, stupid is forever.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.
Albert Einstein
Danny Glover should stick to action films, science is not his area of expertise.
Earthquakes are geological phenomena which have occurred with regular frequency throughout time. Blaming the phantasm of 'climate change' for a geological event is beyond stupid.
The people of Haiti need help, not casting about for useless political causes.
Get a grip, and get focused...

Come on guys--this is an emergency situation, people are afraid, worried, frustrated and they say stupid things. Everyone needs to cool down and let the chain of events unfold.
To date, Uncle sam has contributed $100 million. That's 20 times what the runner up has sent. And just who might that runner up be?? That's us guys!! Good old Johnny Canuck! Hey! That's pretty good eh?
Wouldn't it be nice if the countries with all of the oil wealth were not either Communist or Muslim. The money would just flow to Haiti!
Danny Glover's idiocy isn't new. He has a long history of hating everything that has given him wealth and attention in the USA. ... notably while licking the balls of Fidel Castro, both in good times and in bad...

"That's 20 times what the runner up has sent"
PMSH has said that the government of Canada will match up to $50M of pledged money by Canadian citizens, making a total of $100M which equals the US's dontributions. How can that be 20X's, it is equal, with a population of 1/10 of the US's.
By the way, Danny Glover is a wack-job. He believes this disaster is a result of man made global warming? Did he not read anything but the MSM?
Probably not, just lump him into the Sean Penn, Sheryl Crow,...pile. Kate has it right, Gaia worshipers at the least. Self absorbed attention seekers that they are.
didn't Glover play the president of the United States in a movie once?
This is the mindset that made California a sewer.
Danny makes the entire, intellectually challenged, dwarf tribe proud.
Why oh why didn't this quake hit the San Adreas fault instead?
And pepster....why remove the post? It's wrong to show and expose leftard idiocy?
not polite to compare ...

Glover's an idiot. Everyone one knows George W. Bush caused this earthquake.
I'm disappointed in Glover. I thought he was a reasonable person. That'll teach me to believe in movie stars.
Makes Pat Robertson's comments seem reasonable.

In 2006, Canada committed to providing $555 million in aid to Haiti over five years, making Haiti the second biggest recipient of Canadian development aid next to Afghanistan. Canada is the second largest donor country in Haiti, which is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
FROM:
http://canadahaitiaction.ca/?p=384
We were already committed to giving Haiti $111 million per year before the earthquake.
We've already given them $444 million over the last 4 years and now they're going to get an unbudgeted $50 million of tax dollars during the deepest recession of my lifetime.
There were already ships full of Canadian aid on their way to Haiti before the earthquake even hit.
Makes Pat Robertson's comments seem reasonable by comparison.
Jean-Luc Picard facepalm moment.
Danny has never been the same since his toilet blew up!
(Lethal Weapon 2)
If Pat Robertson's quote is fair game, and it is, then this quote is fair game. You would think, though, that Gaia could have just targeted power plants instead of a huge population of low emission climate innocents. It is almost as if Gaia is an angry sarcastic bitch who has been trying to kill us, same as she did most of the species on this planet so far.
If we talk about the environment, for example, we have to talk about environmental racism - about the fact that kids in South Central Los Angeles have a third of the lung capacity of kids in Santa Monica.
~Danny Glover
I this guy is smoking something that is the Color Purple.
If we talk about IQ, for example, we have to talk about the fact that Danny Glover has a third of the mental capacity of kids in Santa Monica.
How does someone as stupid as Danny Glover, manage to learn his lines in a movie?
In a normal world he would be an embarrassment to his Hollywood peers, but then, they are his peers and probably agree with him.
Anyone know when Sean Penn arrives in Haiti for his photo op?
According to a fed-funded NB Power project, there is a solution to global warming: shower only when the wind blows:
"The project aims to solve the main quandary associated with wind power: when the wind stops blowing, power from other sources - such as coal-fired power plants - must be used to fill the gaps.
The idea is to find a way to reduce power consumption during times when the wind isn't blowing, says Darren Murphy, the vice-president of transmission, distribution and customer service with NB Power.
Instead of firing up dirty power plants, the researchers want consumers to tone down their power use.
Murphy said possible solutions include incentives or two-way communication to inform power users when there is less electricity flowing through the grid.
For example: during times of reduced production, businesses could be told to turn off air conditioners, or water heaters could be cycled off in homes."

Thank-you, Danny Glover! With his comments, I win the office pool. I bet $50 that, before the week was out, some idiot would say the quake was due to climate change AND that the media would link the west's response to the quake to racism.
The Toronto Star played the race card yesterday: http://www.thestar.com/news/world/haiti/article/750785--underlying-racism-infects-crisis-response-study
On other words, I am not actually an intelligent person but I've played on on T.V.
Preview is my friend. Should have read ...
In other words, I am not actually an intelligent person but I've played one on T.V.
Doh!
If there was any kind of "logic" behind an effort by Gaia to right the so-called wrongs of Copenhagen, an earthquake in Los Angeles would make a lot more sense. The level of pollution from automobiles, factories and other human-based emissions is exponentially greater; the people far wealthier and more able to take steps to heal poor little Gaia; and with the movie industry based there, it's a natural, because as Mr. Glover demonstrates, quite a few people in thaty industry like to get involved in environmental issues. How better to get involved than watch your energy-hogging multimillion-dollar mansion come crashing down around your head while Gaia rattles the ground at about Richter 8.3???
Why is it that nearly 100% of the time someone asks, "Do you know what I'm saying?", I don't know what they're saying and neither do they?
What gives this guy more say than my plumber? he's an actor, wow.
ATTN lefties: stop worshiping paid Hollywood entertainers.
Joey W: You're onto something. Maybe we should work to bring Danny Glover and Pat Robertson together in support of that logic by proposing in the MSM that the Haitians transfer Gaia's revenge to California by poking little Voodoo dolls of movie stars with cigarette butts.
Environmentalists and those like Glover who believe develpoment in poor nations like Haiti is evil are part of the reason the loss of life is so catastrophic. Haitians live and work in poorly built buildings because environmentalists oppose the kind of development that would bring modern safer buildings. Glover should be ashamed of himself but I think he is too arrogant (and stupid) to realize the idiocy of his statement
"Man in his conscious fullness, Le Bon* says, is precisely the creature who averts fatality; one should never confuse him with the degraded being who merges himself with fatality to share in its promised consummation."
Glover is "the degraded being"; a member of the religion of socialism.
Glover, et al, have merged with O's Earthquake.

If in anybody's mind 'media linking' is anything more than a copy-paste operation, they are in deep trouble known as 'ignorance'.
"SDA - Kate - remove this post, not evan should be debated. Wrong just wrong!!!!"
Does this item refer to Evan Solomon of the CBC? Not having read the removed post, I don't know what it was about, nor why it was removed. I hate it when this happens.
Weren't Pat Robertson's comments something along the lines of "...the Haitians made a deal with satan to get out from under the heal of the French and have been paying for it ever since..."
Hmmm, let me think. Earthquakes, famine, disease, pestilence, poverty or Quebec.
Hmmm.
Does anyone have Satan's phone number?

He's gotta find a boat that won't sink first.
Glover advocates that we should have a new relationship and a partnership with Haiti.
I see that there will be a deeper relationship of the same kind, not a partnership, but a link to Haiti beginning with "par..." and ending with "sitic" rather than the suffix "ship".
Did you see that goggle ad for Volunteer Against AIDS at the bottom of the vid clip.
I must says it's disgusting and ignorant, predictably so.
Couldn't help but notice that this time, Canada sent aid in it's OWN airplanes ON TIME. Compare that to 2004.

It's probably in the area code beginning with 666, but I've heard he makes a command appearance once a year at the Hajj in Mecca.
the problem is the MSM giving airtime to airheads. these guys can deliver a line but can't write an intelligent sentence.
mind you , there is one just like it at the top.
the now famous TOTUS. Barack Obama. a reading orator that hadn't run an icecream stand with two flavours.
“Everything the Global Warming activists see is a political opportunity, including Haiti,"
It's nice how that quote from Rush Limbaugh is so mobile if you just tweak it a bit.
Canadian troops and American forces in that place will appear to be forceful. They might have to fire.
It's all about what your worldview. If you personify Mother Earth and idolize her and bow down to her and worship her, then it logically follows that she could get mad and get back at us. (even given this, I don't understand why it was the Haitians that got the boots) It's called religion. Love it, hate it, blame it, mock it, deny it, whatever; that is what it is. That's what played out in Copenhagen. That's why we can draw parallels to Pat Robertson's remarks, because they were also from a religious worldview. If you follow from what the premise is for their beliefs than their remarks have, at least, a logical consistency.
What about the rest of you? Are you humanists? nihilists? hedonists? What logically follows from your worldview?
Someone mentioned a
Jean-Luc Picard a facepalm moment.
I'm sorry, I force on you a double face-thing, go away.

They cut down their forests, only 2% left, and burned the wood to grill their rats for dinner.
Do a search on- Haiti + deforestation
(not that I believe they had it coming to them, it was a natural disaster, a roll of the bones so to speak if one discounts the possibility that the Antilles were created through island arc volcanism)
Well, I found Satan's phone number and gave it a call. Unfortuntately, when they answered the phone I got "Bonjour, Partie Liberal du Canada".
Jeez.
You'd think the human haters would be rejoicing at the body count, with that many less of us, on this spinning globe.
