Its unconstitutional, and obviously so. So obvious that a CANADIAN like myself can only view the proceedings and shake my head at the infernal, hellish gall of the DemocRat party.

The bill will never get passed because Obama and Co. are rapidly running out of 'other people's money'.

The Kennedy seat. Spoken like a true liberal. You know ... entitled to his entitlements.

Lots of signs that the dems could actually lose this one. Obama is going to conn (next door) to make a speech and Bill clinton is going to speak in the state.

Under the circumstances however this might hurt rather than help the dem nominee.

That there is even any doubt about the outcome means that the dems are in deep, deep trouble everywhere (even obama's seat could be had). Motivation is a big part of the equation - the dems aredecidedly unmotivated. Pray/hope for a blizzard in mass on the 19th.

It should be noted that the health bill may not die if the GOP wins this seat - the congress may delay his swearing in until the bill passes, but that is a slim hope.

There is a cycle to these things. He gets criticized now after fawning coverage, but going into 2010 the criticism might be considered overdone and there will be more favourable coverage.

remember most of the stimulus money is going to be spent this year.....both in Canada and the US. The good employment news will be used to justify the imporved coverage.

That sound bite is a game changer. I wonder if he had it in his back pocket just waiting for the chance to toss it out or if it was off the cuff?

That stimulus money still is not doing anything. It just went to the same union supporters whose health benefits Obama is trying to tax at 40%.

If the economy gets better, it will be because Obama's agenda will have been largely defeated, not in spite of it.

Dont get me wrong, stimulus money isnt sustainable nor is long lasting. You cant splash that much money around without it having a short term goose to GDP.

I am saying it is an illusion, so despite what you see in the spring and summer things arent sutainable. The let down will be 2011, the question is how bad it will be.

I am just saying I expect there to be some effect from "the pump" and it will the press will seize on that effect to justify the return to psoitive coverage of "O"

If worst comes to worst, the Chicago Mob will off him. There's way, way too much money being handed out by the Empty Suit & Co. for anyone to stop it..and on top of that, there's a racial thing to deal with.

a reasonable question and great observation - but - i don't think he was waiting to toss it out - i think he was respectfully happy to be in the race with all his wits about him and respectfully happy to slam it down on the table. it's statements like that, that will define voters' choices.
