The purpose of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is to make a case for intrusive government intervention in our lives.
That is why the IPCC exists.
The bias is in the name and the name is predicated on the notion that there is a problematic aspect to climate change that requires government intervention on a global scale.

The IPCC doesn't exist to get at the scientific truth.

Scrap the IPCC, Canada out of the UN.

Will it never end.....so it makes one wonder just what the IPCC report will say....how in the world do they back off and soft soap. The pressure for them to do it right will be immense.

For those keeping track of indisputable errors in the current version of the IPCC world report
1. – the representation that the IPCC report represents a consensus of thousands of scientists – laid waste by Lindzen’s explanation of how the process works with contributors reviewing only the content within their area of expertise and even then not having a chance to review the policy summary
2. – accelerated Himalayan glacier melt – laid waste by the Indian government follow up
3. – significant upward trend in hurricane caused property losses – laid waste by Pielke’s comments

And I see that Lord Moncton in 2007 (http://ff.org/centers/csspp/press/20070302_release.html) said he found 31 exaggerations or errors in the document and that the heavily-corrected version of the IPCC report has been furtively posted on the IPCC’s website.

All in addition to the debunked "hockey stick" graphics.

I expect to see even more errors being pointed out going forward.

But was that made up comment Peer reviewed through the IPCC Global Warming Hysterics sausage machine?

I'm not even surprised,let alone "shocked" any more by the machinations of the IPCC. They have NO credibility with anyone whose IQ is greater than their shoe size.

Everything they've produced has been "tweaked", misrepresented, or outright lied about,so this new feature of the IPCC, asking questions and answering it themselves was inevitable.

The MSM will probably follow suit and soon we'll hear A-M Tremonte and friends at CBC ask an absent PM Harper,"did you know Canadian troops were turning detainees over to Afghan authorities who might have mistreated them"?

And answering,"certainly I knew,we've been covering it up since we took office".

With a few more interviews like that, Canada should be safe in the bosom of the LPC in NO time!

The Nobel committee looks sharper and sharper every day, don't it?
