And one of them is named Mary Jo Kopechne.
Mass. Senate Race: With 39 Percent of Precincts Reporting, Brown Has 52 to 47 Percent Lead Over Coakley
(Meanwhile, over at CNN, a rerun of the award-winning documentary "CHIRP: Song Of The Nocturnal Insect".)
Time for a Poll!
More - The Huffington Post's Great Big Red Letter Headline.

Ummmmmmm....were the DemoRats using PET's rolls of voters??
Once a slimy dictator leftard, always that way
Up by 7 with 67 percent in. I can't see how it isn't already over.
Oh...and the hilarious referral to crickets.Say what you will, the Mistress of this sight has a great way with words...
Can I send you the bill Kate for my emergency room visit for giving myself a hernia from laughing so hard?

dems lose the "kenedy" seat///
I'll drink ot that

and a triple chaser
Overheard as Coakley's motorcade went through a cemetery, "Don't stop waving! Some of your most loyal voters are here."
GYM, got ya by two. After that, it's ribeye and baked potatoes, LOL
Drudge says Coakley has conceded
Holy f****** s***!!!!
Croakley concedes. AP says Brown wins.
Does this mean two more months of counting CHAD?
At least until after the health care vote!
CNN is reporting it on their TV station. They've called it for Brown and mentioned Coakley's concession.
The republic may be yet saved.
just goes to show you how the "current" president can deliver votes (or anything else for that matter).
the tide turns and the sea level goes down.
and that makes today a good day!
Yowzer!
On the funside 88% of Cambridge voted Dem.

I was just thinking about that. His track record is somewhat less than stellar when he puts his name behind something,
Olympic bid - nope
Copenhagen - nope
New Jersey governer race - nope
Virginia governer race - nope
Mass senate race - nope
On the serious side: good think ACORN was not in play.
On the humour side:
Brown to Obama: Cheque for campaign assistance is in the mail.
Those who called it the Kennedy seat were only half-right. It was the TED Kennedy seat.
Obviously for the Dems then: no Ted, no seat.
If BO and the Demoncrats try to rush through the health reform bill, there will be plenty of juxtaposition material when MSM in this coutry, who accuse PMSH of being anti-democratic by using democratic tools at his disposal, will do a 180 and argue that what BO and the Dems are doing is within their power to do... complete with constitutional experts, just like with the Coalition.
A BIG teaching moment for B Hussein O!
Loving it!
Wolf Blitzer just said "You need 60 votes to get anything important done in the Senate". Hmmmm.
It will be interesting to see how Obama behaves in the next few weeks.
Where will story end up on the Mothership CBC tonight?
I think it will be the 3rd...no maybe the 4th story, starting with Haiti, then the Cabinet Shuffle, then an Olympic story about the Afghan snowboarding team's chances at taking a medal in Vancouver. 8^p
God you have to miss Teddy!
Does anyone else remember at Chairman O's inauguration when Rahm Emmanuel was caught on camera thumbing his nose, presumably at some Republican? That image has stuck in my mind.
That image more than any other exemplifies the absolute arrogance with which this administration has conducted itself.
None other than the State of Massachussets has told the Chairman - "ENOUGH BUCKO".
I have serious doubts that he will the lesson. Why? He is an ideologue and arrogant to the end -not to mention - not as bright as some would lead you to believe.
I choose to blame George W. Bush. ;)
Personally I was not even aware of this race until Brown said that line: "Its not the Kennedy seat, its the people's seat!"
We have one imbecile on a TV debate that NO ONE watched to thank for this, because he fed Scott Brown the perfect, perfect line.
Possibly Brown would have won anyway, but I haven't seen anything on TV -ever- that more perfectly encapsulated the infernal f-ing arrogance of the Democrat Party and their media shills than that question. And Brown gave the -perfect- answer.
In other news, a new form of energy has been discovered! It develops that Ted Kennedy is spinning in his grave so fast and so hard, they're going to slip a big belt around him and run a generator.
They figure he'll be able to light most of Bahstan by himself. When they get the other Kennedy's hooked up there will be enough new power to run most of the eastern seaboard.
Hey Kate, anybody out there want to give me high fives?
Because the Democrats were so certain that they were going to win for such a long time, they did not set up all the illegal tricks they like to pull with Acorn and out of state ballots.
I think Coakley concede so soon because she would rather stop with a 9 poing defeat than go all night and have the drive-by media try to explain a 20 or 25 point loss.
Every Democrat out there sees the freight train coming down the tracks, and I don't think that Obama's denigration of people who drive trucks (in his Massachusetts speech) help much.
Because even in industrial towns like Lowell, MA, the union guys were going for Brown. And in some cases union Democratic voters that go back generations.
A very good night for America, the free world, and the future possibilities of conservatives in our political process.
did somebody say dead?
on that topic, you can add homicide to the crimes committed *against* the guantanamo detainees:

"they ALL do it"
The local CBS anchors are in some kind of wierd form of denial. A GOP senator?
Precious to watch.
Fantastic news!
Now, to kill Obama's health plan. :)
And then to put the Dems out to pasture for another 8+ years.
"Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin ...."We guard the rights of voters here,"
In perpetuity ... no doubt!
Phantom @ 9:54 ..... You said it man ... Oh Yeah!
Its ok monkey george. We feeeel your pain. And seemingly you are feeeeling a LOT of it tonight.
Go raid Mum's bar fridge. We won't tell.
bambam may be trying to buy that crucial vote. The Senator is due to retire this cycle so other than being hated, not much to lose.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/01/senator-voinovich-i-am-not-a-vote-for-the-health-care-bill.html
Peter Manbridge looks like his favourite cat died...
"God you have to miss Teddy!" Well, dummy, next time check your windage and elevation. I'm sure Kate can give you a few pointers if you want to go hunting with her.
Phantom 9:54 - this guy has a lot of other good quotes - eg as follows:
Republican Scott Brown, was flabbergasted. “Unbelievable,” he said. “The leader of the free world is talking about my truck.”
Nicola Timmerman - PS - nice letter to the Ed of the NP about a week ago!
"Olympic bid - nope
Copenhagen - nope
New Jersey governer race - nope
Virginia governer race - nope
Mass senate race - nope

How's that Nope & Change working now Barry?
As a follow-up to my post at 9:51 I googled "picture of rham emmanuel thumbing his nose at someone at the inauguration" and - there it was.
Gotta love Google (sometimes).
The Democrats aren't worried. They'll keep recounting and recounting and 'finding' more ballots, whatever it takes to win.
This is definitely a 3 or 4 or 5 beer night!
It was worth the pain and suffering of watching cnn tonite, and the look of sheer disgust on Cadaver Larry King's face! This might just do him in.
Wait! What's that loud sucking sound coming from the the state of Massachusetts?
How's that Nope & Change working now Barry?
How's that Nope & Charge (card) working now Barry?
Fred and AtlanticJim, it is becoming apparent just how much of an empty suit Obama is. As in, 'way emptier than I thought. We're talking hard vacuum empty here. Epic, EPIC fail here.
I mean, The One comes forth on his presidential aircraft, with his hundreds of Imperial guards, flunkies, potentates, honchos, kahunas, poohbahs and even Imperial gophers. He comes forth I say, and he gives The Speech! The holy Speech, in which he commands the multitudes to Keep The Faith, and Stay The Course, and all that great stuff.
And the multitudes vote for the other guy by an Acorn-proof margin. Not even close.
And to top it off, The One's loyal hand picked senatorial candidate CONCEDES THE RACE, thereby short circuiting all the machinations and rules lawyering that the Big Dem Machine has been reving up out back in the parking lot. Shut 'er down boys, they done went and gave up.
Then The One goes on f-ing TV and says he's DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED with this result. In so many words, the stupid voters failed to follow his simple instructions and f-ed things up. The morons.
So yeah, epic fail. Yay! :)
btw, T and monkey-boy, still feeeelin' yer pain. Try liquor, it works faster than beer.
How long till the dems start ranting about irregularities, and not the one in their shorts tonight? I'd say by this time tomorrow the usual suspects will be ranting that they were gored by the dead.
Hopefully our good neighbors to the south can put the brakes on this money-printing socialist President. Anyone who lived in Germany when the money went bad can relate... my Grandfather needed a BIG suitcase of money to by a metal file in those days. The stuff wasn't worth the paper it was printed on.
The One scored 62 percent in Massachusetts when he won the White House in 2008. Now this. If this isn't a slap in the face of epic proportions, then nothing is.
The poll results are pretty funny too.
Glacierman -- I will be watching CBC news tonight, but I am pretty sure you are going to be right.
Wonder what the turn out was as a percentage.
Looks like right around 2.2 million votes cast. Seems that would be a fairly high percentage.
This didn't take long,,,

I often thought Obama would have his Reagan moment and get people united....but unlike that president just not the way he planned to.
