"Maybe some former Liberal ministers should be worrying about their asses"

To follow on Kate's earlier post, it would seem Mr McCallum sure ain't thinking things through (no surprise there, eh?).

Update: Much more on what Liberal ministers were doing before their government agreed to the detainee transfer agreement here from Adrian MacNair, some excellent research.

He, who lives in glass houses.........

McCallum is a disgusting piece of pond scum, right at home with Ujjal Dosanjh and Iggy saying our troops our war criminals.

Cheap, tawdry drive-by-smear politics as invented by Liberals and bragged about by Mr. Uber Pond Scum, Warren Kinsella.

Canadians will remember their slimy accusations about our troops.

Fred, right on target!

Kevin,

An easy target, but I feel I should apologize to pond scum for the comparison to Liberals.

Even pond scum doesn't deserve that degradation, but I guess something has to take the hit.

Apologies . . . should be Ken.

Its a multitasking afternoon :)

and then there is the dingle berry in the comments who outraged about the title because of the tragedy in Haiti, can they, progressives, git any stupider?????

Exactly GYM,

Insensitivity is a crime in the Progressives/Liberal Big Book of Smears. Spare me the faux outrage. Their fine with calling our troops perpetrators of War Crimes. That gets a pass, right? Tools!

GYM, is that a trick question?

......can they, progressives, git any stupider?????

Yup .

Adler interviewed him this afternoon. it was delicious.

Adler made him look like a typical sociopathic politician, then left him hangin' and stammerin'. man, you should've heard it.

McCallum rants on about war crimes (that he might have committed himself) Meanwhile Ignatieff rants on about proroguation. Parliament is prorogued on average every 1.3 years. Like PMSH says "It's routine"

It is only routine when the liberals do it, otherwise, it is the end of democracy.

Liberanos care about (our) money to use for their own welfare and for the power that contol of that money brings. Same for the Dippers, the Blocheads and the commie camp followers, the msm. This always simplifies, in my mind, their motivation for saying/doing anything - "Follow the Money".

It is nice to know, as taxpayers and as people who have friends and family serving in the Armed Forces, that our Prime Minister and the Conservatives have our back.

"Question of the day" at the CBC: "If Parliament was sitting, would Canada's response to the crisis in Haiti be different?"

I could suggest a couple of other questions for the CBC like "How low can you go?"

Or:
"Does anyone at the CBC understand that parliament wasn't scheduled to sit until Jan 25th?"

...on the new post about Geert Wilders above this one.

It is interesting - I sent an email to the liberal party suggesting that John Mcallum resign. and receivel the following message:

The following message to was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-'Message contains known spam source in Received: header'

Could there be a problem here?

Another politician we should work towards removing from office come the next election, if we organized we could get those slimy anti-military MPs out of office.

"Does anyone at the CBC understand that parliament wasn't scheduled to sit until Jan 25th?"
=============================
Does anybody at the CBC understand anything!!??

H*ll, they might be able to respond even more quickly if they aren't in session. On CBC's website today there's this video clip of Michaele Jean giving a very emotional statement about the earthquake in her native country AND one of PMSH with her and another woman who I gather is the Haitian ambassador or some such person. He speaks about what the Canadian government is already doing!!

Cripes.

What I am most shocked about is that an ex-minster of defence could say this about his old employees, those who took him down to the gym and HELPED him exercise after he had been thrown off his plane due to excess/excess drinking. When he was a minster he was an absolute disgrace, one thinks that he has not improved. By accusing the Forces and government of war crimes he is without doubt pointing his finger at himself. Perhaps he was too pickled to notice that this was on his watch. He and his ilk are evoking the possibility of Liberal ministers and senior military commanders being accused of war crimes. They set the system up!!

No,no Rose...these so called MP,s are NOT anti-military...they are anti-military who are not backing their crap....see Haiti below....that is the military they want here, not a military who are trying to fight for freedom

He knows darn well there will be no consequences because it's all rhetoric in the first place. The Liberals can say "bring it on" and blame the Conservatives the whole time. The only pertinent factor is: how many people are listening?

OT/ it seems the Americans are content allowing foreign authorities to conduct investigations on citizens outside of Constitutional law. This should be a concern for politicians on either side of the aisle. Liberals truly never learn.

Yeah, I have been amazed at the Liberals pursuing this. They started nthe whole thing off themselves, and then agreed to its continuation under the Conservatives.

But, you've heard those radio ads where the "scarey evil Harper has been secretly hiding. What does he have to hide?"

This will kack=side-fire on the Libs.

So the official liberal position is that they are accusing Harper of covering up war crimes committed by our military but they aren't accusing the military of any crimes?
They are accusing Harper of covering up crimes that they, the liberals, say never happened?

Better put your analyst on danger pay Johnny.

"Question of the day" at the CBC: "If Parliament was sitting, would Canada's response to the crisis in Haiti be different?"

Good points made to that by Stan and Louise.

CBC knows that most Canadians don't understand prorogation that even without it that parliament wouldn't have returned until Jan 25th. And to that point, having the opposition and their partisan sniping at the PM during QP would in know way advance Canada's response any faster to the disaster.

By phrasing the question the way it did, the CBC makes it seem as though PMSH is somehow complict in the suffering in Haitians in their country, and that the gov't's response without prorogation would somehow be more robust.

Proof positive that there's no low the CBC won't go in order to score cheap political points against the PM.

FIRE. THEM. ALL.

I wasn't sure if Adler was interviewing Keith Richards or John Mcallum, the constant tinkling of the ice cubes was distracting. This Mcallum prick is the epitome of Kinsella politics, lower than a salamanders dick! Take your huge pentions John, your Johnny Walkers tour is waiting for you. The worst thing that a lieberal has to endure is not being able to STEAL money, and it has been four long years away from the till, it is killing them, and they and the CCCBC understand that if this country evolves enough to elect Harper with the majority that he DESERVES, their time and dirty games will be buried forever.

For those that want to listen to Adler’s take on McCallum’s comments and his interview with McCallum it is at the following site

http://www.corusradio.com/Shared/AudioVault/CJOBAMaudioVault.asp?VaultDate=20100113&VaultTime=13&mysubmit=Listen

( Wednesday show) It begins at approx 1:07 P.M. mark with his commentary and the McCallum interview is near the end at approx. 1:24 mark

CBC will do whatever it can defend Liberal party positions. Let's not forget that in the '90s, McCallum was always the first economist it would go to to provide a favourable review of the Martin budgets -- billions in cuts to the provinces and all. If Flaherty does the same, McCallum will be pickled (sorry, that's in a pickle) in having to explain the contradiction of his position. Then again, if it's Suhana interviewing him on the budget, he can trust that she's not gonna want to go there.

Does anyone know if a) PM Paul Martin immediately reconvened parliament to deal with the Dec 26, 2004 tsunami, b) in not, then which day in Jan 2005 it did reconvene, and c) if it was not reconvened 24 hours after the tsunami, if the CBC lash out our PM Martin?

Tried to find the info on when parliament reconvened following the 2004 Christmas break. Anyone have the answer?

Jon,If I remember correctly, there was a delay in sending the DART team. They were singing the usual 'should we stay or should we go' scenario, with Mr Dithers providing vocals. As for the 'detainee' BS,the liberals were in election mode when the transfer agreement was signed. They were scouring the country looking for votes. If the wheels of the anti-Bush bus got lubricated with the blood of our troops,so be it. It was desperate times, especially in Quebec,as their usual lunch bag voting fund had been taken away. This current 'scandale du jour' has been manufactured by the liberals and their friends, gleefully aided and abetted by our taxpayer funded media.

And Kady is positively gleeful about the latest Ekos.
