Foot meet bullet. The incompetence is reminiscent of the Liberals in Canada.

definite smell around the campaign. Nothing going right or more importantly anything that goes wrong is highly magnified.

We will see if there is enough of a GOP machine to actually get the vote out in Mass.

You are forgetting it's Ted Kennedy's seat.

Who are the maroons that still believe that the left isn't for "crack, greed and corruption"?

I can only hope that people will eventually believe their eyes and not their ears and realize that the center piece of leftist policy is "greed and corruption".

According to the latest polls, the Republican candidate in 5% ahead of the Democratic candidate.

There is some hope for the US and this will be just the start of a huge tidal wave that will carry on through the mid-terms.

Unfortunately, it's just shuffling the deck chairs on the US Titanic as the Republican Party has no clue either.

It's no wonder the US voter is disgusted by both parties.

Using the WTC in a campaign ad, absolutely ridiculous stupidity.

Deserving of a political "Darwin Award"...

Cheers

Martha Coakley and her party are presently securing a 747 to fly low over major urban centers so they can apologize to the offended, and distribute turkeys.

I'm all for legislation to make greed and corruption illegal. Then once we get the climate changed to what we want the climate to be, we will live in the utopia of peace, generosity, and ice.

Perhaps I am getting to be too cynical, but I believe that the democrats will win regardless of the actual vote.
This is based on my suspicion that it is mostly democrats who will be counting the votes.

Just an attempt to reach out to the radical Islamist & self-flagellating liberal, nothing new here..

Aaron at 1;20: 'You are forgetting it's Ted Kennedy's seat'

Not quite. As Scott Brown so eloquently reminded the debate moderator when asked what he would do in 'Ted Kennedy's ', it's the "Peoples' seat."

No Old Chemist....you are not getting too cynical. One can never be too cynical around the parasites called politicians. And you have called it exactly like it is.Too paraphrase....it ain't who votes, but who counts them.Ask ACORN

Yes, it's one of those seats in which Republican votes must exceed the "margin of fraud".

Coakley's campaign also denigrated Fenway Park . . the ultimate heresy in Red Sox land.

Bad ads? Iowahawk's on the case!

You've Got to Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Negative

"...Thankfully, independent concerned citizen groups such as ACORN, SEIU, and Multinational Pharmaceutical Executives for Good Government have stepped into the breach to create issue-oriented, informational media messages to point out Brown's insatiable appetite for toddler blood, his membership in a paramilitary death squad, and his palatial multi-thousand dollar timeshare in Aruba...."

"It's a good start, but not nearly enough if we are to avoid the galactic dystopian wasteland that awaits if Brown and his hate radio masters pull off this illegal coup. That's why I've opened up the comments for a limited time so you, the concerned Iowahawk reader, can provide your own 30 second Stop Scott Brown radio ad scripts."

"No promises, but I will prevail upon some voice talent pals to produce the best submissions into actual audio clips in time for the election. (If you're a good voice person drop an email at the link on your left). Act now before it's too late!"

I'm holding my breath and daring to hope, the US Senate seat debauched by decades of Ted Kennedy's posterior just may be won by a decent Republican. Oh the irony! Oh the delicious schadenfreude of such a victory! :-)

(I say decent, as set you free's comment "Unfortunately, it's just shuffling the deck chairs on the US Titanic as the Republican Party has no clue either" has a sad amount of truth, i.e. RNC Chairman Michael Steele, Gov. Arnie Schwarzenegger, et. al. I'm also mindful of the truth of Kate's comment "Yes, it's one of those seats in which Republican votes must exceed the "margin of fraud".)

Sarcasm was lost

Richfisher: if they honestly believe turkeys can fly, and use the 747 to distribute them, then I think that sounds like an excellent plan. They should be encouraged.

Here is Ted Kennedy's wannabe successor Martha Coakley.

Offended comments:

"Offended
As a Catholic, admittedly one with issues with the Church over issues from the past decade and the Church's inexcusable response, or lack thereof, to the child molestation scandals, I am very offended by her taking a position that people with religious beliefs should not work in emergency medicine. That is so preposterous as to be laughable, but I am afraid that is what she really believes.

This from the DA who allowed a pedophile priest to stay free rather than prosecute him allowing additional children to be victimized by this priest. This from the DA and AG who refused to prosecute Cardinal Law for his role in the cover up of the priest abuse scandal.

Someone needs to call her on this and fast. Best would be Cardinal O'Malley, but all religious people should be concerned as she has stated her position clearly. Your ability to do a job depends on your religious views. Not a lawyer, thank God, but this sounds like out and out discrimination to me.

What will she do next in advancement of her agenda, support a tax plan whereby whether you are taxed or not depends on whether you are in a union or not? Oops, she already supports that bill.

The more I learn about her positions the more concerned I become."

Obama is going to Massachusetts to make a plea to voters for Martha "Chicago Olympics" Coakley.

ebt...turkeys CAN fly....just look at the Zero (and no slur at WKRP and Les)Then we got clowns like Anderson Cooper...nuff said

Nothing, but nothing, stops dead people from voting Democrat en masse - why even dead Republicans have been known to vote for the Dem candidate......and not just once either.

they wanna tank Brown's chances, just paint his a Democrap, that should do it as Coakely is lossing support as a dem:-)))

and if voter fraud happens and can be proven, that'l seal the deal in 2010 and 2012, the dems will be toast

Brown has two main planks in his campaign, 1) he will not support the Obama health bill and vote it down; his election would mean only 59 dems. 2)U.S. security, which is why the WTC is in background to remind voters that there is a war.

Must've been from the Liberal party war room.

Katsmeat must be moonlighting in Mass.....

I'm all for legislation to make greed and corruption illegal."

Smitherenzes, your aim is far too modest. There should be legislation to make ALL crime illegal.

This is just a little preview of the dirty politics that are going to be coming at y'all in November this year.

The Democrats are about to loose -Ted Kennedy's- senate seat. The seat that has been held by Ted Kennedy since I was a kid. In Massachusetts, a state more Liberal than California. Where mothers wash out their kids mouths with soap for saying the word "republican".

This is a Big Fracking Deal. And I'm LOVING IT!!!

Perhaps the public needs to be reminded that the Kennedys aren't the be-all and end-all of American civilisation. In fact, I'm sure the US would do fine without them.

Meh.

I bet it's stock footage and nobody even recognised it as the WTC.

I wouldn't have recognised it from that shot without people telling me what it was.

Not at all, Aaron. I picked it up. ;-)

I've got my money on Coakley for the reasons Kate and others have mentioned. Perhaps E.Holder and the Black Panthers will make an appearance. The stakes are way high as Phantom points out, too high to not pull out all of the stops. Perhaps the fact this is a single election will make it easier to protect the integrity of the vote count.

Anyways, I told my wife yesterday "super majority or not, Barak Obama and the Dems WILL get the healthcare legislation through". In my estimation you need at least 5 Democrat Senators against the bill. Other than that even mother Teresa RIP could not resist the bribes.

Latest word (Instapundit) is that Obama will campaign on site on Sunday.

ESPECIALLY Mother Teresa, according to Christopher Hitchens.

Kate, and supporters of Small Dead Animals... Do you support the effort to mitigate greed and corruption? ( http://fairwhistleblower.ca/content/open-letter-ex-ambassadors-re-richard-colvin )

Ms Coakley's skills as a DA may have been questioned. It reminds me of a case in Sk. that created careers, destroyed others, left a general bad taste for justice and a huge settlement.

Aaron:

Not just lost...most people just couldn't find it in the first place.
Brings to mind the need to refer to a homily having something to do about two hands and one's arse, or at least that's as I recall it.

Frank Docherty, "Do you support the effort to mitigate greed and corruption?" Now Frank, whose corruption we talking about? Acorn? Wall Street? Sub Prime Mortgage loans? Election rigging? Senate payoffs? political graft? there is just so much to choose from...

As for Coakley's record as a prosecutor and district attorney, it inspires even less confidence in Massachusetts voters. As the head of a child abuse and sex crimes unit and later as district attorney, Martha Coakley was a strong proponent of using discredited techniques of "recovering memory" of past child abuse.

As a result, innocent men like Gerald Amirault, a former daycare operator who, along with his mother and sister, was accused of molesting children in his care, was released a long 18 years after his conviction. Wall Street Journal writer Dorthy Rabinowitz, who won a Pulitzer Prize for her reporting on the Amirault case, wrote that after coaching by therapists, "Mrs. Amirault was accused of raping a child with a magic wand, of assaulting another sexually with a large butcher knife, Gerald of abusing children in a magic room while dressed as a clown, and Cheryl of similar unspeakable violations." After the case collapsed, and long after the family had been convicted, Coakley personally lobbied then-Governor Jane Swift to block Gerald Amirault's release.

"Do you support the effort to mitigate greed and corruption?"

Corruption, absolulely. But I have no idea why greed was included in that statement, for it has nothing to do with legality.

In most cases, when you hear someone complain about "greed", they're really just displaying their envy.

Oz, Wayne:

What's really telling about Bambam's proposed visit is that just five days ago, his press secretary, Robert Gibbs, was telling reporters that Bambam had "no plans to visit Massachusetts", and that such a trip "was not on the President's schedule". Gee, how things change.

KevinB, I'm wondering if Obama's tendency for dramatic special visits to plead for causes having the opposite effect, as with Al Gore's visits to pump up the Global Warming cause, will continue to plot a solid trend.

It seems that for causes other than his own, Obama has the anti-Midas touch, everything turns to cht.

With Coakley already circling the bowl, Obama's visit could be the slam dunk.
(I don't know where this guy, President of the U.S.A. and "Leader of the Free World", Commander in Chief with a War on 2 fronts, gets the time to write Newsweek cover stories, have dates with Michelle, father his children, and pet his dog)

Osumashi Kinyobe @4:26 - "Perhaps the public needs to be reminded that the Kennedys aren't the be-all and end-all of American civilization. In fact, I'm sure the US would do fine without them."

In much the same way I think that a person could manage if he absolutely had to to live his life without a virulent case of amoebic dysentery.
