"I guess in the end other countries really just did not care about us..."

Jim Prentice did a great job.

Uh-oh, Germans may go to war to save the climate.

You would think they might have learned that their grasp of geopolitical power balances has not always been, umm, world class.

They should stick to building das auto.

" a vague commitment to preventing the average global temperature from rising by more than 2 degrees Celsius."

And the thermostat for this is locate where?

I am weary of this imaginary non problem, but happy at the way it's going ... for now.

We shall have a thousand years of climate stability. Mann is very happy in such a world.

How true. I can recall one time flying to New York and the three Toronto newspapers handed out on the plane showed on their top front pages the PM of the day meeting with the president at the White House. The NYT of the same date covered this block buster on page 30 something in a two inch paragraph.

Part of growing up as a nation is coming to terms with, and accepting, the only infallible law of international affairs:

All sovereign states act in their own national interest first.

"Staying below the radar", can at times be the best policy.

"I guess in the end other countries really just did not care about us..."

Don't CARE about us?...
But we have been punching above our weight class in Climate Denial !11!!eleventy

The Marxists lost a battle, but after licking their wounds, will try again to bring all governments under the control of the U.N. Freedom loving people will just have to keep a sharp eye open.

Anglo people in Montreal are no fool it seems!

take a look at this poll from CTV-Montreal Monday Dec 21 2009,

Does buying green products make you feel good?
Yes 43%
No 57%

Some people have this bizarre view that the rest of the world is watching every move we make, continually passing judgment on those darn Canadians.

In truth, we could be a nation of naked lumberjacks running around the woods having deviant sex with moose, and few outside of the country would ever notice.

And that suits me fine. That they don't notice I mean, not the deviant sex thing.

Leave it to a rabbit to complain about moose sex ;-)

Honestly, it was good Canadian policy to stay off the world stage at this global vaudeville sideshow. hopefully my genuine green Christmas tree will continue to suck that nasty CO2 out of my living room until the New Year.

I'm with rabbit on this one (the not noticing part I mean).

The thing is, the homegrown global warmmongers get the ear of the Canadian press in general.
If most of the population gets their news and information from that source, then of course they would not know the real unpolished, unedited, omitted story.
Those that want to know the whole story, those that find the whole information on their own; those have no illusions about “Canada is at fault” garbage.
There is an expression, “one that is drowning will grasp at straw”, and this is an analogy to what the local global warmmongers are doing now.
It is difficult to blame those that don’t know, they just go with the flow, have other, perhaps more immediate, pressing issues to take care of.
However, once there is a political decision to be made, everyone must inform themselves. It maybe too late to find out how things played out when the government comes to get more of your money for no reason other than it looks good from Burkina Faso, they may get a cut.

loosely reminds me of this:

hilarious

Sex with moose is deviant? Hm. Well.

rollin, rollin, rollin
though the planet's frozen
keep them TAR SANDS rollin

schadenfreude!

No one cares about Canada? Oh no! I guess I'll have to have a merry Christmas without them.

I visited the ol' UK in November to see my socialist sister. I am still, after all these years of being Canadian, stupefied by the lack of interest in, and ignorance of, Canada.

Perhaps this is a good thing ;-)

rabbit- when the heck were you up at our hunting camp!??
And you know what they say, "What happens in hunting camp Stays in hunting camp!"

AGW/Choo-Choo's Death Watch.

Bad: "In Britain, more airport delays hit passengers while snow forced the postponement of Wigan's English Premier League football match against Bolton Wanderers."
...-

"Big freeze kills at least 80 across Europe"

"The breakdown of the Eurostar service under the Channel, linking London with Paris and Brussels, has symbolised Europe's suffering."

Deviant moose sex?

Heh.

I love this blog.

Sex with moose is deviant?

No, rabbit said "deviant sex with a moose" implying there is a normal way to have sex with a moose.
The normal method must involve either tranquilizing the moose first or catching a moose calf before it gets it's teeth...

Then there's always the "dinner and a movie" method.

It's only deviant the first time.

and I used to wonder why my daughter threw the rabbits out of the barn, guess rabbits don't know when or why to STFU:-))

Canada's media hates Canada's gov't more than the media in other countries. (hate crime ?)

One would think our media has an agenda. Or is controlled by someone or some group. Any guesses ??

"And that suits me fine. That they don't notice I mean, not the deviant sex thing."

I havent been caught yet. That suits ME just fine.

What happens in the woods..STAYS IN THE WOODS.

Maybe we need pictures of our media engaging in deviant moose sex.

I did not have sex with that moose.

But, I thought the funny hat and the goggles were the deviant part Rocky.......

Rocket J. Squirrel and Bullwinkle J. Moose.

they are always together. even before same species marriage legistlation. hmmmmm.

My understanding is that no one took much notice of Canada at Copenhagen. So what was all this "fossil of the day, etc." stuff about? Was that just targetting audiences in Canada? A cheap trick to manipulate the Canadian public and cast Conservatives in a bad light?

LindaL; Your understanding is correct. About a week ago I left a comment in the reader's tips here on the exact same matter. I went to the Copenhagen Daily News and searched 'Canada'. The newspaper had nothing on Canada pertaining to the conference. Our media,in bed with the eco-elite,use their propaganda to tear down the Conservatives. CBC is doing it again today by putting up an interview with McGuinty that goes after the west and the conservatives.

You know, Canadians complain about ignorant Americans not knowing where Toronto is, but I defy you to find a Frenchman or a German who knows who Stephen Harper is.

Canada is a two hundred mile wide ribbon of farms stretched across a whole continent, with three mid-sized cities in it. 30 million people, of whom 10% immigrated from someplace else in the last 20 years. And no army.

Nobody in the entire rest of the world knows or gives a rat's @ss what we do here, nor should they. Denmark swings a bigger stick than we do, and I couldn't tell you who their dumb-@ss prime minister is.

Rabbits better stay in front of me or they get the horns.

This post has really got off track and into a bit of a rut.

to ALL OF YOU who made moose/sex jokes ,

I laughed so hard I scared my cat!

Thanks!!!I needed that!

I'm a Canadian living in Texas and can assure you that Canada makes the news here less than Australia. No-one knows where either of them are.
