The Associated Press hides its decline.

This is a very good article. Thanks, Kate.

It would seem to make sense profit wise for the MSM to start airing out all the dirty laundry. Controversy of this magnitude comes very rarely and you would think one of them would like to capitalize on it.

Thanks Kate. How can the press continually get away with this?

Finished my thought after posting.

I scratch my head wondering why so many outlets feel they should take sides. Being objective gives a news source twice the fodder.

I always wondered as a kid why it was that there was always heavy fighting in a revolution to take over the Radio and Newspaper printing facilities. Now I know why. You can print and broadcast drivel and that is all the majority will get to see.

Talk to someone that does not hound the internet sites for news if you want to see people that are out of touch with whats going on globally. Tons have not even heard of Climategate!!

The press, I feel, have done lip service to the Climate-gate scandal at best. This thing should have been blown wide open. It's been done here but not so much in major news services. If the press could entertain for a moment that the only green thing about the green movement is money, they might just get somewhere.
Just my thoughts.

Yeah welcome to the real world. It is basic doctrine----like not marching on Moscow.....Myself and the rest of the officer corps instinctively reacted towards the radio/TV in Saigon, when the first shots were heard. These facilities are the de facto key points.....since the start of the COLD WAR.
The third scientist interviewed by AP, professor Gerald North at Texas A&M University,
link

The debacle with Cold Fusion also involved fraud at Texas A&M..... Why would anyone ask them?

The problem is that the Press edits the science; that is they delete or ignore terms like "may" or "could". This is deliberate fraud...

I guess a Class action, against the press (AP etc), may be necessary to resolve these fraudulent practices of editing science to fit a
political process.

The information and links Kate has provided allowed me to alleviate the kool-aid condition of one of my favorite people. After being lambasted during a round of golf [for heaven's sake] for my far right climate views, one of the threesome is now taking a realistic view of the situation. Thanks for the artillery as well as the kevlar.

I wonder what is worse...

climategate or mediagate?

Or, is there a much greater Libslam whose "gates" are legion, and who demands total control of you and me?

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream..."

I scram, you scram, we should all scram from Libslam.

Who is Josh Visser at CTV?

Check out his 'grades' for Jim Prentice, as he score the Harper government ministers!

Question time!

Who will be the first "big-cheese" to admit s/he was wrong all along?

Imagine if Davidian Scarezuki or the Algore-rhythm or Charlie Princey-pants or PMSH were to get down on their knees, and admit they had been taken-in by Libslam wing-nuts.

Who will be the first prominent "scientist" to do the same?

Who will be the first prominent religious leader?

Who will be the first lefty relative or lefty friend?

Confession time will soon be upon us.

Dreamer!

The popular institutions are all left-lib. They have glossed over climate-gate because they are all invested in the narratives which empower the state, AGW being just one of many crises with which to justify unlimited intervention. MSM "reporters" with few exceptions, only reach as far as their "friends" list in their rolodexes to insert the favourable quote from "experts".

The sooner the wood fibre that now goes to newsprint goes to something useful like toilet paper the better.

I keep saying to my fellow travellers that someone ought to start keeping a list of and quotes from all the people in leadership positions in Canada who've let themselves buy into AWG for whatever reason, self-serving or otherwise, (kind of along the lines of who were members of the NAZI party, whether by active or submissive participation) and start posting these as one page ads in the major dailies in anticipation that, as Dreamer says, "Confession time will soon be upon us".

I'm not thinking, particularly, of "go without saying" targets like Suzuki, but more of say, Jim Prentice. Time for someone to speak up (no former Reform Party MPs ready to take up the banner?). Maybe, Danielle Smith, new leader of WildRose Alberta Party will have the (balls?).

Here's hoping.

AP? American Propagandists?

The 2nd part of the collaspe of credibility of team IPCC will be the exposing of our media. The CRU story is a bomb with a slow fuse.Do not worry that the MSM don't get it,the small papers have started to pick it up and report it well.Every citizen who reads the emails, becomes an ally against the green stain,by mid 2010 I predict alarmists will be told to "prove it or hold your breath".And politicians will be bailing out, throwing their science advisors to the mob.Happy New Year.

I think that you are correct, JRR. The wheels are already off the wagon because leftie goofie supporters who pay taxes are very cheap with money. They will not pay the greenie bedwetters to squawk if the big business and small business men/women, that they so hate, will not pay for something that has been proven to be a hoax, and thus inrich the squawkers and supporters via redistributive default - they assumed that lefto groupies would be running the show for seezookee, mo, and algore. When a Liberano/Dipper/Blochead/msm 'reporter' is involved, always follow the money. The shysters never let the money out of their crosshairs.

Knacker "I scratch my head wondering why so many outlets feel they should take sides. "

I think that half the time they do not realize they are taking sides -- they are so immersed in a (usually) left-wing mind set.
