10 out of 12, not bad, though I wonder if I'd do as well on Canadian, it is pretty boring at times, and the media we learn much of it from is so bloody biased.
Got 12 out of 12. Good guess on the Senate Banking Committee. Not bad for a Canuck sod-buster ex-grunt from the former Socialist Republic of Saskatchewan (now a free province), even if I say so myself.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to all. The true spirit of Christmas is there if you want to find it.
10 of 12 and I always thought of myself as a dumb ass. Ninety % of the people I work with wouldn't understand the questions. Ha!
Merry Christmas Kate (wouldn't be 10 of 12 if not for you) and everyone out there all the best in 2010.
11 out of 12; I guess that puts me in good company.
The last question tripped me up. I sent this test to every one in my mailing list, something I've never done before, and challenged them to not cheat. Boots, you are right with the 90% estimate. I'm going to print out the test and give it to my employees on Monday. There is far too much ignorance in the world, might as well start the ejamakashun in the office.
11 out of 12 [93%] and question #11
What is crap and trade about if not about (I can't recall their exact wording but...) "finance and the environment"? It's not banking or unemployment, and I can't recall the other option. (Although I know the other option wasn't the real answer of "to screw the U.S. economy even more while making Obama's donors rich and to destroy the coal industry like Obama stated during the election campaign.")
11/12 even though I got the Glen Beck one right, for some reason it marked me wrong?!
Oh. Maybe it misread my [correct] #11, too, then. Although maybe I got one of the others wrong and it misread my #11 as wrong, but gave me an undeserved correct on another?
BTW, 12/12s out there, what percentage of the population is in the top?
11/12, I'm going to give myself a B+, although I'm not even close to being tipsy enough still... holy crap - I got Afghanistan so way wrong...
I'd like to know how some of us Canadians are doing compared to those southerners ... :) aja, pass the sherry.
They’re pretty dismal scores overall. (I don’t mean SDAers). Men and Republicans did better than women and Democrats. BO needs to get a fairness doctrine in place.
12 out of 12 but ironically I had to take an educated guess at Afghan troop levels.
It's disturbing how many people clustered around 4. Max Baucus and the troop levels are the only ones a breathing human being from the US might have trouble with.
You get all this info from 10 minutes of reading the news.

Why this blog? Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice
of an ordinary Canadian
yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."
homepage email Kate (goes to a private
mailserver in Europe)
I can't answer or use every
tip, but all are
appreciated!

you send someone TRAFFIC.

Nailed all 12, but the unemployment rate question is wonky... the answer they're looking for is the reported rate, not actual.
10 out of 12, not bad, though I wonder if I'd do as well on Canadian, it is pretty boring at times, and the media we learn much of it from is so bloody biased.
You correctly answered 9 out of the 12 possible questions, which means you did better on the quiz than 82% of the general public.
As usual, too many beers and I failed to study for the test.
I scored 11/12 at Raphael's blog earlier today. We get so much info about the U.S., it's hard to NOT know a lot about them.
Now Canada, all I know about Canada is that the rest of the world hates us,at least according to the cover of McLean's magazine.
Oh well. Merry Christmas everyone.
12 of 12.
But then, I'm an unapologetic, informed, independent American, determined to fight this Obamanation's affirmative action administration.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, all.
10/12
Missed the Chairman of the Fed and the Dow.
There are some seriously scary numbers there.
All 12; which one did you miss Kate?
Merry Christmas all.
9 out of 12, after a day at work, then shoveling snow then wrapping Christmas gifts.
Too bad they didn't ask which country one was from. Be an interesting statistic.
10 of 12 and I always thought of myself as a dumb ass. Ninety % of the people I work with wouldn't understand the questions. Ha!
Merry Christmas Kate (wouldn't be 10 of 12 if not for you) and everyone out there all the best in 2010.
Wow! 12 out of 12. Thought I might have missed a couple.....
The Baucus question got me. Otherwise not bad for a former Rhodesian/South African now Canadian...no thanks to the Canadian lamestream media.
11 out of 12; I guess that puts me in good company.

Merry Christmas Kate.
Hit em all. Haven't been drinkin this eve either so that helped.
I thought for sure I'd have at least one of the last few wrong.
Some were purdy tuff.
And Merry Christmas y'all.
11/12 even though I got the Glen Beck one right, for some reason it marked me wrong?! Maybe clicked the wrong box somehow...
11, Baucus
10/12.
missed the "Dow" and the "troops".
12!!! Hah!!! Bite me losers!!!
(Merry Christmas again guys. Even the trolls. Yeah, I'm just that tipsy).
Hey!!! 12 out of 12 tipsy!!!
11 out of 12 [93%] and question #11

hummph....only 11 out of 12...but then I was looking for the "when did you stop beating your wife" question. Merry Xmas all.
10/12 only because I didn't lie on my age.
I too got 12 right. Seems like SDA readers make up a disproportionate number of the 2% that scored perfectly. Smart bunch.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks for making me feel inadequate Bull.
I guess that proves I'm Canadian.
lol
I won the Nobel Peace Prize.
10/12 - the committee ones were the ones that tripped me up.
12. Second guessed Feinstein and landed on Baucus. Lucky-ish. I admit.
11/12.Baccus bit my bum
11/12.Baucus bit my bum. merry christmas to u all
All 12, but I'll confess uncertainty on two...
...the mouse ALWAYS pays attention to the elephant.
12/12. Not bad for a socialist from the tundra -- as many of my American sparring partners refer to moi.
11/12, missed the troops. Good quiz.
11/12, I'm going to give myself a B+, although I'm not even close to being tipsy enough still... holy crap - I got Afghanistan so way wrong...
I'd like to know how some of us Canadians are doing compared to those southerners ... :) aja, pass the sherry.
12 for 12
8 out of 12 , I,m Canadian , did not look up the answers ,
My wrong answers were Dow Jones avge , supreme court judge , fed reserve chair etc.
12 out of 12. It's official. I have to get a life.
11/12 Feinstein instead of Bauccus(sp)
11 out of 12. Missed the one about # of US military in Afghanistan.
Merry Christmas to all here, and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
got all 12 but guessed on two.
11, Screwed up Baucus - which is better than being screwed by Baucus...
Merry Christmas all!
They’re pretty dismal scores overall. (I don’t mean SDAers). Men and Republicans did better than women and Democrats. BO needs to get a fairness doctrine in place.
Merry Christmas to one and all!
12 for 12 Mele Kalikimaka youall.
11 of 12. Missed the Baccus one, Knew with certainty all the rest.
11
Troops wrong
12 out of 12 but ironically I had to take an educated guess at Afghan troop levels.
It's disturbing how many people clustered around 4. Max Baucus and the troop levels are the only ones a breathing human being from the US might have trouble with.

10. Missed Max Baucus (he wasn't even my second pick) and the number of troops in Afstan (I was high).
11/12 here also.. Which doesn't make sense since I haven't owned a TV since 78 and I don't listen to the radio... Good guesser eh?
11 correct. The Afghanistan troops question got me too. "Seventy thousand" sounded a bit low and I changed my answer to the next higher option.
I knew many of the answers unconsciously; probably the osmosis of having CNN playing in the background on odd evenings.
Darn anyway. I wanted to beat Black Mamba's 12/12 score so she'd quit gloating (ha ha).
It was the Dow Jones Industrial Average I guessed at wildly, got lucky (never said I could count).
Gloating is my Christmas present to me.
