““We’re in a giant car heading towards a brick wall and everyones arguing over where they’re going to sit.”
“I love Kitsilano and Vancouver, but there are too many people and too many cars. I think we can have greater density if we made the city much more hostile to cars. The cars have made our city unattractive, and thus I like to spend more of my time in a smaller place at Quanta [ed, Quadra] Island where we also have a home.”
“One of my favourite summer activities is picking wild blueberries with my family at our cabin in northern B.C“
h/t Mike W, who notes – “Last time I checked Quadra Island did not qualify as Northern BC”

lookout, we’re obviously on the same wavelength! How much of a nuisance can we make of ourselves?!
Sorry for the kind-of double post. My first comment @ 9:04 didn’t appear to post, so I composed another similar one a few minutes later.
And now to totally insult us hard working RED meat eaters here in Alberta, QR has some poofter with a bicycle bell giving “sound” advice every day at noon. The flakey bit is called ec-echo where this limp-wristed high voiced fellow dispenses advice like keeping your fridge door closed and you know, other “planet saving tips”. Bad enough we had to look at that cow twat faced Suzuki doing his Michael Jackson routine and hanging out scaring little children, now our tax dollars go to carbon sequestration, over 2.5 billion here in Alberta. Idiots are stealing us blind.
bartinsky- best description I’ve heard yet of that SOB.
Who could have known David Suzuki is a disingenuous douch-bag?
“at our cabin in northern B.C”
Considering his political vision, that should be “dacha” not “cabin”.
His two mansions don’t appear to be enough.
He breaks into every home and treehouse he can find; if you’ve ever watched any of his “nanny-state pimp’n ” commercials.
Leftists are just feudalists in drag.
Really. They want themselves back in a system which has a closed group of elites in power without accountability to the poverty-stricken lowly peasants.
The USSR was just their latest failure. Kyoto is their next attempt.
One the architects/promoters of the EU was Dr. Otto von Hapsburg. Yes, that Hapsburg family.
To DaninVan: You are correct about being able to look up anyones house address on the BC gov´t property assessment website, but unfortunately the website is only available to the BC public for 30 or 45 days after our assessments have been mailed to us around January or so. So there is no general access until next year.
Its inane that Suzuki has one of the greatest voices in Ontario energy policy yet he doesn’t even reside here!!!
Ontarians shouldn’t worry, suzuki drives through periodically in a big belching diesel bus, built for forty, eight aboard.
our little town has two grocery stores, unfortunately they are both owned by the pattison group of companies, they have hired suzuki to approve what is sold at the fish counters, so now back-to the-cave- dave decides what I can buy.
I think the separatists call this etapism.
Thank god the Chinese seem to be immune to this nasty little hypocrite, so I’m off to burn gas to drive to Vancouver and shop T&T.
That bag of $hit. We’re supposed to ooh and aah over something every Canadian within reach of a blueberry (or on my case salmonberry, blackberry, and thimbleberry) bush does for fun? PIG! Stay on Quadra please, and STFU!
When can the average citizen get their hands on a teleporter like Suzuki must use to shlep his family between all of their homes.
How evil are we to strain Suzuki’s visual sensibilities with our cars as we travel from home to work and back again as he tries to get away to one of his many escapes?
